Bossed is a great older man younger woman workplace romance. Blake is a rough around the edges safety expert who has been brought in to shape up Delcroft Group construction. Jenny’s a junior safety officer with Delcroft and reports directly to Blake. This is her first job out of school and she knows that workplace romances are doomed to failure, but when Blake shows her the softer side of his gruff personality, she starts to fall for her much older boss.

Funny, sweet and sexy. Kate Gilead is an up and coming author to watch. I’ve loved all of her release, but this one is my favourite so far!

I voluntarily ARC for honest review. This story take place Columbus , Ohio at DELCROFT GROUP CONSTRUCTION, where the company is chaotic and disorganized management style. New general manager from California , 38 year old all alpha male Blake Cameron for Safety and Compliance and junior safety officer 23 year old ,Jennifer Jane Gordon , they make sure all working sites ,well equipped with safety equipment , all building materials and all deliveries of materials. All the working building sites are having major problems. A rumor going around that DELCROFT is using counterfeit safety equipment.
Blake and Jenny are very attracted to each other but all obstacles hurdles feelings twist and turns , all at work . The receptionist Flora Thomas , tell Blake and Jenny want is on-going in the office , not pretty. Blake is also concerned about his first cousin , once removed on his father side, Angel. Angel is a funny pain in the a**. He feels Jenny , might be the one. Jenny is falling in Blake more each day . Jenny's pet Dog like Blake, also. Dog is big black very uncorridiate animal.
Jenny lives with her mother Elaine, her mother is a roit. Her best friends Brenda , Amanda and Marie. When they are all together , watch out , you laugh so hard.
I love and recommend this book to everyone 😆 😙. The strong structure storyline and well developed characters and supporting characters brilliant exquisitely well written. The story is drama rom-com adventure provocative mystery suspenseful captivating sizzling chemistry strength of character emotional rollar coaster and captivating from start to finish 💋 💖 . I can't wait for the next book . Great office romance .

Another Superb Romance From Kate Gilead

I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book, Bossed: A Steamy Office Romance by Kate Gilead.

This is book #3 of stories about 4 friends, that live in Maple Mills, and the men they meet and fall in love with. Each book is a standalone with a HEA but characters from previous books show up in them. I really like this, it's fun to see what characters I know and love, are up to. Kate is a wonderfully talented author that does this perfectly. Her books are so well written, amazing plots and stories. They really hold your attention, all the way through. Her characters are so real and believable. I've thoroughly enjoyed each book so far and can't wait for the next one.

Blake and Jenny work together at Delcroft Construction and every day it becomes harder and harder to fight their attraction for each other. Then one day while delivering special safety equipment to a job site, Jenny is struck with a debilitating migraine headache. Blake ends up taking care of Jenny and it leads to their first kiss. After that, they no longer fight it. They begin a secret relationship, that if found out, it could cost them their jobs. Not only do they have this to worry about but an overheard conversation leads to a huge misunderstanding that could decimate their relationship.

This was an interesting read. It wasn't exactly what I was expecting it to be but it was still enjoyable. Jenny is Blake's assistant and Blake is not necessarily the easiest guy to work for. He gets cranky but Jenny and Blake work together well. They work in the safety department for a construction company that has a horrible safety rating. The company is crazy disorganized but questions start to go around about the mistakes that are being made, who's making them and whether they are deliberate. Jenny gets a really bad migraine while delivering safety equipment to Blake on site and ends up needing to crash at his trailer for the day. This gives them the opportunity for their feelings to show themselves. At this point, they start up something but Jenny doesn't know exactly where Blake plans to take it. This story was interesting and for the most part I really enjoyed it. I had a hard time connecting with the characters a couple times because of their outlook/opinions about "alpha" men and how a woman handles that and what they need. I enjoyed the plot of the story and it was well written. The sex is explicit and the sexual tension comes into play quite a bit. Overall, I enjoyed the story and was entertained while reading it.

General Manager for Safety and Compliance Blake Cameron likes being around his sweet and sexy assistant Jane a bit too much and is hard on her to keep her at arm's length. Blake and Jenny fight their attraction for each other until their pent up feelings explode into a passionate kiss and they start seeing each other in secret. Blake and Jenny's relationship is going well until Jenny eavesdrops on Blake's phone conversation with his cousin Angel. Jenny's heart sinks at the thought that Blake might be seeing another woman even though they're not exclusive but is too insecure to ask. What happens when Jenny decides to take charge and fight for her man by being even more feminine?

Bossed is angsty, funny and steamy. Kate Gilead has paired an entertaining story and engaging characters for a book I could not put down.

Another great read from Kate Gilead. This book is about two people who have feelings for each other within their workplace but hesitate. Blake is in charge of Delcroft's safety measures for the company and Jenny is his assistant. Blake can be overbearing, exhausting and hot as hell. Jenny has feelings for him but doesn't feel that they are reciprocated. When Jenny goes to bring Blake some items he needs on a job but isn't feeling well due to a migraine, he finds her passed out in her truck right outside his trailer. He lets her sleep there to feel better and that is when their feelings start to come out. From there, they start seeing each other secretly and one things leads to another. there is so much going on within this book, it will keep you wanting more and you won't want to put I'd down. I am not that type of reviewer to go into too much detail because then I feel that you wouldn't want to read it if you knew everything. So pick this one up for yourself. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader's Copy of this book.

Hot hot hot! Get the fan and tissues read....between smoking hot sex and characters who leave you laughing until you cry.
Great story. I love the characters and chemistry between them. It's an older gentleman and younger woman...
Jenny is in her first real career job and she having hot fantasy of your set boss Blake. Until it just becomes to much for them. Jenny is a sweet, strong, independent woman just wanting to succeed at work and one day be a wife and mother. Blake is funny, caring, stubborn, and kinda an alpha. She gets worried that after Blake's contract is over he is going to go back to the west coast and that she is going to get her heart broken. She get some advice from her mom, to give him and their relationship a chance, to be herself, and how to handle an alpha man.
The balance between all the characters is great. It will have you laughing along with them....and I love the pets and their comical names. You will have to read it to find out how this funny bunch turns out..

This is a standalone full-length book but there are a few characters that pop-up from other books Kate has written. You don't need to read the other books first but those are good, too! Who doesn't want to catch up with Princess Pumpkinhead Poopypants the Third? :-)

Bossed is the story of Jenny, an only child of a now widow. Her first real job is challenging and her sexy boss, Blake, is gruff and demanding. One afternoon when Jenny isn't well he shows a different side. Jenny is a little self-conscious about her shape and can't believe that someone like Blake might actually be into her. Will the age difference be an issue or will something Jenny overhears shut whatever it is they have down?

I received an advance reader copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. I really liked this book. It's cute, sexy and has a funny little twist at the end. The conversation between Jenny and Elaine, her mom, was great. I hope there's a book for Marie coming, she sounds like a trip!

I was not sure what to expect when I started this book but I have to be honest, I was not expecting it to be as awesome as it actually was

There is plenty of romance Jenny is a sassy and sometimes feisty young lady who I adored from the beginning and I expected Blake to be gruff and a bit reserved, but I was pleasantly surprised and fell in love with Blake quite early on

This book is the total package with a couple of twists I did not see coming!! And the humour OMG there are several funny bits in this, all I can say is that I want Dog to live with me, hilarious everyone needs Dog in their life!!!

Overall a fantastic well written book with romance humour and a little steam I highly recommend this book

Bossed was a super cute, sort of sweet Office Romance featuring an older man and younger woman. The way the relationship was developed made it totally non-pervy and it was refreshing to see that the female lead (Jenny) was hesitant about certain aspects of the relationship and was quick to speak her mind about her issues. The male lead (Blake) was an unusual alpha (for me at least), but it made sense because of his age (38). Once he identified that Jenny was the one for him, he was devoted to her and their relationship wholeheartedly. That was really sweet and refreshing. I found that some of the narrative was tedious and some of the dialogue was awkward (particularly his), but I still really enjoyed the book. It's a solid 3 out of 5 and I'd read more from the author if given the opportunity!

All Jenny wanted growing up was to get married and have kids. Blake is finally ready to settle down, but has to figure out a way to get Jenny to agree. Attraction bloomed instantly between the two, but they hold off. When things start going wrong at work, will they be able to come out unscathed? Will Jenny finally realize that Blake wants more than a quickie?

Loved how this book tied into The Secret Virgin. You get the hot older alpha male and the young woman who dreams of being a mommy. Love how Blake is determined to get her love once he sets his mind to her being what he wants. Hot read!

One corrupt company, one man who is trying to get to the bottom of things, and one lady who just wants to keep her job. Blake is a self made man who doesn't mind taking care of Jenny when she gets a really bad migraine. It's at that time that they start having feelings for each other. Pretty soon they are full on in love, but she still has her doubts things will work between them. It won't be long before he is living in her house with his cousin and her mom. An even shorter time before the feds step in the company and shut it all down. This was a fast paced book that was a sweet and wonderful read. I absolutely loved this book. This is the third book in a series about four friends and their love life in small town Maple Hills. The book is well written and very humorous at times. The friends are so funny and you will love listening to their conversations. Jenny a young 23 year old finds her workplace and personal life turned upside down when a new alpha male boss is hired. He's very demanding and there to clean up a major safety issue with the company. They continue to fight their growing attraction due to the fact that he is her boss and also the age difference. A roller coaster in many ways and lots of drama and emotion. A great read. I voluntarily reviewed an arc copy of this book

This is a light and fun romance with a lot of heart. Blake is all hot alpha male, and he is hot for Jenny. She’s his feisty assistant who is trying to maintain a professional relationship. They’re both new to the company, and as outsiders are in the perfect position for the corporate intrigue they find themselves in the middle of. Their romance is flirty and steamy, and oh-so-very-satisfying while the rest of the story is filled with surprises. It’s a great read, and Blake is a swoon-worthy book boyfriend. This is Jennifer Jane Gordon "Jenny" and Blake Cameron's story.

Blake and Jenny work for the same corporation. Jenny is Blake's assistant. She is very attracted to him but doesn't think he would feel the same way about her. Circumstances allow them to explore a relationship but there are lots of obstacles in their way.

This is a sweet and steamy office romance with a few twists along the way. I enjoyed Blake and Jenny's characters. It was a fun read.

I liked Bossed because it started out similar to your typical office romance, but it had a different spin on the story line. I thought Blake and Jenny were great together, but miscommunication and office gossip have a way of interfering with the progression of a good romance. I liked that the characters were more normal and not OTT rich. Their attraction was so hot though, I really enjoyed the story and loved the steaminess. I have read other books by Kate Gilead and so far have have not been disappointed. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Blake and Jenny - 4 stars

This was a new to me author and I LOVED the cover. The characters are well developed and the storyline is enough that it held my interest. The author does a good job of describing the Midwestern town and making you feel like you could actually be there as the story unfolds. Luckily, this is a fast paced story that doesn't lag and cause you to lose interest. Plenty of heat to keep you wanting to turn the pages to see what is going to happen next.

I was drawn into this story from the very beginning. The chemistry between these two is hot, but the danger of being caught makes it even more so. Once things settle down for their relationship, things heat up at work. It's an ongoing question as to what'll happen next. There's some unexpected things that happened that makes the story even better, Angel for instance. Angel and Blakes relationship is great and the commentary is hilarious beteeen these two. What a great boss

I don't know what I would do if I had a hot older boss, but I must say that Jennifer is one lucky girl!
What is a girl to do when she has a pretty good working relationship with your boss, Blake and a huge crush on him all at the same time? Blake is a man who knows what he wants and who he wants. Jennifer is a woman who her believes to be the one! I loved everything about this book. With their on and off flirting and mysterious happenings around the work site, I couldn't put this book down. Great job Kate Gilead

I really loved and enjoyed the story. The sexual tension was off the charts hot and the chemistry between Blake and Jenny was explosive. The plot was interesting. It had just enough steamy sex and a thrilling mystery to keep you hooked. The story-line did flow smoothly throughout. I loved the characters. I can't wait to go back and read the first two books in this series!

This Novel has got steamy chemistry and hot scenes.
There is romance allover and the alpha male has to make a decision.
It has laughs, humor, hot scenes and is worth reading. Twists and drama that you do not expect is in the story.
Feels sometimes realistic but sometimes it is a bit too childish for me.
Love the somewhat different names of the pets :)

Hot

Blake and Jenny were a great pair. I enjoyed reading their story. Blake takes a job as a safety consultant for a company on a six month contract. Jenny is hired as his assistant. He teaches her all she needs to know about the job. The company turns out to be shady and under federal investigation. But in the midst of things Blake and Jenny find their HEA.

I received this book for a voluntary, completely honest and non incentivized review. While I enjoyed the chemistry between the characters and the plot of this book, I couldn't get past the banter. Blake came across a bit more feminine rather than alpha. Still a very sweet distraction.

Bossed, by Kate Gilead, is a steamy office romance. Sparks fly, chemistry is abound and there is no denying what is bound to happen with these two characters. I loved the dynamic and set up throughout the story. This was a fun read.
