Paralysis: Beating the Odds is a touching account about a teen who recovered after a stroke and hemiplegia. The drive that Addison had to beat her odds was inspiring. She has a great sense of humor as well.

Addison D’Marko is a strong-willed, diligent, and hemiplegic teenager who, despite experiencing a stroke at quite a young age which resulted in the paralysis of her left side, comes out stronger after each trauma life throws at her.

The book begins in the hospital right after her brain surgery in an attempt to stop her frequent seizures. What amazes me is that whenever she got bad news, she always (most times) had a way of having a humorous outlook of it and never once let it slow her down from enjoying her life.

Like Ipuna rightly said, the drive that Addison had to beat her odds WAS inspiring. A must-read for anyone who finds themselves in a valley due to health-related issues and needs to rise above it.
An awesome book.

An interesting and unusual story that could have benefited from more editing and feedback time.
