Dora's Box

Rate this book
Be careful what you wish for, because you just might get it. That's a lesson Dora learns the hard way. She inherits a magic box that grants wishes, but always with strange side effects and unintended consequences. Consequences like a gigantic penis suddenly growing between her legs. At first she is mortified that someone might find out and hides her magic cock as best she can. Eventually Dora also learns that unintended consequences aren't always bad. A huge dick can also be a lot of fun, especially when your roommate is an eager blond hottie. This short novel contains scenes of explicit sex and is intended for adults only. [40,000 words]

An interesting twist on a love story

This was a different, but good love story. A naive young college student is struggling but finds the magic in a box from her Nanna. Some gifts were little but then she ends up with a penis...
this was a funny tale with some hot and steamy scenes.

Dora's Box is a surprisingly touching story that is equal parts comic, romantic, and erotic. Usually, I can guess where these kinds of stories are headed, but Walker Long kept me on my toes with all the twists and turns. Not only that, but he did so while crafting a pair of wonderful, fully-fleshed out characters who you desperately want to see end up together in a happily-ever-after.

As the story opens, Dora has just found out that her work study has been canceled due to budget cuts, leaving her unable to pay her share of the rent, much less tuition for the next semester. Feeling sorry for herself, she sits down with her grandmother's antique jewelry box . . . and discovers the old woman's claims of magic were not exaggerated. Her first wish is really nothing more than an idle comment, but it immediately solves her money woes, leaving her to wonder what else the box can do.

Much of the story revolves around Dora's attempts to be noticed by Kyle, the cutest guy in school, but her poorly worded wishes end up creating a situation she could not have anticipated, leaving her gifted with both a fully functioning penis and the skills of a perfect lover. As her sexuality blossoms, her roommate seizes the opportunity to help her friend gain the confidence she needs to present herself to the world. Julia is the kind of best friend we all wish we had, not because she is beautiful, popular, and wealthy, but because she has a kind heart and an open mind.

Without spoiling things, the evolution of the friendship is truly the heart of the novel, with curiosity, adventure, jealousy, and more all feeding into a wonderfully romantic finale. Dora's Box is a story that certainly has its erotic moments, but they are tastefully done, and in keeping with the overall sense of kink, erotic fun.

This book should be required reading for college freshmen. Maybe that sounds weird for a book about a college co-ed who grows a magical penis, but I mean it. The tale of Dora and Julia touches on such important issues for newly-minted adults as adolescent insecurities, roommate issues, navigating the college social scene, and the emotional dangers posed by frat bros named Kyle. Finally, the book demonstrates that we can find love in strange ways with people who have been in front of us all along. The story is sweet and humorous as well as explicit, which seems to be the author’s trademark, and the quick read is well worth your time. Who knew a magical penis could be so romantic?

Dora's Box was the perfect book for a cold winter's day. Very fast-paced, enjoyable read! College student Dora can make any wish she wants simply by talking to the magic box her grandmother left her. First, the box helps her with money woes and then it goes on to complicate, for better or worse, her romantic relationships. This book is entertaining, occasionally hilarious, and is rife with hot, erotic scenes. It's really about a young girl finding herself sexually.

A fun story.

Dora has a magic Wish-Granting Box, and learns to be careful what you wish for... Mainly because of the Giant Penis she accidentally wished on herself.

As stories goes this was a fun one. The Premise was silly, but the characters felt real and I liked them very much. The fun twist of the story of course being the weird way Dora's wishes het slightly twisted into more and more awkward scenario's.

Sweet, cute and erotic. I actually really liked this story. The last third advanced a little too quickly, though.
