USA TODAY Bestselling Author Mary E Thompson spent most of her childhood wishing she had a few less curves. She hid in the pages of books because her favorite characters never cared what size her clothes were. Now, neither does Mary, and she writes stories that celebrate women like her. Real women who have curves, chase dreams, and find love, because we should all be happy, no matter our dress size. Mary spends her non-writing time with her husband and two kids, watching too much TV, cheering for her hometown football team (Go Bills!), and hiding chocolate from her family.
I have to be honest. I wasn't a big fan of Andie's when I read the first story or the second. She seemed too headstrong, stuck-up and at times impetuous, compared to Alyssa's character. But nothing is ever what it seems. And I'm glad to know that I was wrong. I can't help but love and empathize with Andie, considering what shes been through these past years. The constant nagging from her mother, the shifting work dynamics and her newfound feelings for her brother's best friend..... it's all very overwhelming. But that's where Cody fits in. He's the rock she never knew she needed. Their chemistry is Hot! It's a miracle my e-reader didn't overheat from the sex. I love this story. And all that talk about Riesling wines..... makes me went to go on a wine tasting vacation.
I loved Andie's story. She is such a complicated girl. I knew there more to her than she was letting on. It was great that she finally saw Cody as someone other than her brother's best friend. Cody is a great guy and he has watched and waited for Andie to see him and he didn't think she was ever going to give him a chance. Even when he thought they were over and he was ready to leave town he stood up for her and told her mother a few things that should have been said years ago. Pauline needed to stop giving Andie such a hard time. No wonder she couldn't fall in love when she felt so unloved by her own mother. This is a great series and I look forward to the next book.
There was so much more to Andi then I thought. I loved Cody, what a sweet man. To wait that long for someone and to finally have a chance. Made my heart melt. I love this series, the characters and the vineyard. It draws you in and makes you feel a part of the story.
