The winged kids have progressed and the Cheads are rounding up, to what end, I hope we get to know in the next installment. As always, much action, emotions running wild, the story is very imaginative and realistic. A great but short read!

You always know you’re reading a good book when you’ve finished it in one sitting without realizing it. Such was the case with me and Retaliation, the third installment of Aaron Hodges’ Praegressus Project series. Chris and his band of renegades are still on the run from the government. As to be expected, they are wary of who to trust, but they know they’re going to have to trust someone sometime if they are going to survive the nightmare they’ve been sucked inside.

It’d been a while since I’ve read Renegades, so I couldn’t remember how it ended, but thankfully, as always, we’re fed everything we need to know throughout this third novel. Piece by piece, I’d begun to recall the events of the previous two books. Book three feeds us a lot of action that keeps you flying across the pages, eager for more.

In my opinion, with every book Hodges’ puts out, he gets better in his writing. I do wonder, though how The Praegressus Project can be stretched into a total of five books before it starts to become too many in a series. However, I do love the premise, the action, and the characters, so I care enough to keep reading and find out. I also find that the Chead is an interesting concept. Scary, too. Even scarier that the government is so corrupt that they will stop at nothing to keep the truth behind the Chead a secret—including murder.

So the group of young people who had been experimented upon by doctors/scientists in a laboratory and who had genomes from animals added to their own are still on the run! They have lost one of their friends and are still mourning but fighting because now they know that it was their own government who had invented the chead to hound and terrorise their own people! The young people want to expose and bring down the tyrannical government but what can they do on their own, even with their wings and added strength they are so few in number against the so very well trained, armed and ruthless army! They find backing from a group of elderly women protesters known as the mad women and these take them to a safe house but the young people need to act not just rest!! The story is a very exciting read and demands that it be read in one sitting! and that on the edge of the seat, this series is excellent.

What a read. Loads of action, realism to make you want to keep reading. Short but wonderful in keeping with the other two. Absolutely fabulous author.

Book 3 follows on with the group of winged teenagers continuing to try and evade the government, having been labelled as terrorists by the Director and hunted by Halt.

Instead of continuing across open land which would make it dangerous to fly and them too easy to spot, they travel to a big city.

Chris flies off the handle upon hearing some bad news and ends up helping a young women. But do good deeds always give something back in return? Read it and see.

There is a lot more conflict in this stage of the story and we learn a lot more about the teenagers and the Chead as their journeys continue.

Rebellion without social media is difficult but that is where the Mad Women come in - sorry no spoilers! This leads very nicely to the next book, Rebellion.

Having a great time reading these and would recommend them to all. Great characters and enough background to understand why they all act as they do and with pace as and when required.

They are all together again. After being rescued by the others, Sam and Ashley are struggling to free their minds of the horrible things Dr. Holt did to them. They others are trying to figure out their next move to protect themselves. Hiding in the apartment the were captured in, they run into someone who know where they need to go. The Mad Women are a group of mothers and fathers that had their families ripped from them and are ready to fight.
This poor group of winged teenagers just can't seem to find a break. I don't know what Mr. Hodges has for them next but I can't wait to find out. Again we have intrigue, action and full out fights for their lives. Good reading and excellent writing.

Very likeable

This series caught my interest. The characters are well developed and the story line is interesting. It is easy to feel sympathy for the main characters even if they have super human strength and large wings on their backs.

Awesome!

Each book just gets better and better! The hunt continues. Our heroes do their best to evade the evil government who doggedly chase them. How do you fight a corrupt government with so few resources? This story gets more interesting with every chapter.

The praegressus project Book 3

must read yet books begin to stretch too long. Suspense begin to wear. Better condensé the actions. Too much horrors to support. Yet worth reading. Waiting anxiously for next book and hopefully last of these series.

STRATEGIZE!!!
Page turner, action pack, kick ass characters with the unquenchable thirst for revenge. Book 3 didn't hold back from keeping your attention firmly held. You'll want to read the whole series again when you finish, straight through. Who needs sleep when Aaron is on the job.

Awesome Book

It seems I am not able to put these series down. Before I finished book 2, I bought books 4&5. Can't wait to read them.
