This is the Uncensored Edition of Champions Volume Trials. It includes additional content removed from the Standard Edition due to its graphic nature. The love scenes in this version are longer, and include more graphic descriptions of sexual acts. All other content is the same.
Champions, plural.
After the shocking revelations shared by Eros, God of Love, the companions, David, Sapphire, and Laurena, have a new mission. As the trio journey to the Tomb of the Fallen, the Amandurans race towards Erosius, and the Erosians scramble to raise an army to meet them. Meanwhile, the elusive Shadow Guild struggles to rebuild, while hiding from the might of the Inquisition. With so many pieces in motion, Laurena will not be the only one to face ‘Trials’.
Champions Volume Trials is the second book in the Champions Saga by Kenny Michaels. A veteran of the United States Army and Operation Enduring Freedom, Michaels brings an insider’s perspective on combat, and the true cost of victory.
I have enjoyed this series since the author first posted chapters on Literotica. What started as word porn evolved into a good fantasy story with some hard core sex. Might not be everyone's cup of tea.
The character's are vividly described enough for the reader to invest in them and care about their troubles. Not sure where the author is going with the Lorena, Sapphire and David triangle.
As an old romantic I would love to see David settle down with both women and ride into the sunset, but with Lorena being Eros's champion that is probably not in the cards. Lorena might visit occasionally and share some hot sex, but she will not be able to be a permanent part of their life.
Unless the author tosses us a curveball, and for some reason Lorena is released from being Champion or something else happens that I do not expect. I will have to see in the next book.
This was a good book with all the things the made the first book so great. Two new characters introduced are Eek and Bertha and they were one of my favorite parts of the book. I think the only real negative about this book is that like so many other second acts it suffers because it has to spend so much time setting everything up for the third act. There is going to be this big amazing war in the third book but to facilitate that a lot of this book was devoted to the erosians building and training an army to fight the war that I found kinda boring. But even with this there was still a lot about this book that I enjoyed.
Not as great as the first, but still a good read. I hope that the 3rd book comes out soon and we can see how this war ends.
Right now David hasn't really created anything really new with his magic, like in the Daniel Black books, but is still in the same spirit as those novels, and a great read.
This one is not as strong as the first one, but 3.5 rounds to 4. What disappoints me is that as far as I can tell the third book has yet to drop, and with three years since this instalment I suspect this is where the story ends. Disappointing if true.
