This is fabulous glossy book with 19 projects to make.

With colorful illustrations, ideas and advice on fabric, embellishments and stitching, Jennifer Heynen’s Sew Small is an ideal book to work from.

Sew Small comes with a double sided pattern sheet that has all you need for each of the items.

There are projects for male and females, and each can be made to look more petty or as plain depending on fabric choice. There is a gorgeous Journalling wallet I am going to make and what is lovely is that the projects are perfect for gift ideas or just to make for yourself.

Sew Small has missed nothing out. It is easy to follow and each project can be done in a few hours or more.

This isn't my jam, it's way too cutesy and I don't have any little girls in my life that might like it either. But maybe it's your thing.

Are the templates / patterns worth trying in different fabrics? I can't tell you. Annoyingly, no metric measurements are included for those of us that don't use the old money. And I wasn't attracted enough by the photos to get a dual sided tape to figure out the scale.

Flicked through and returned to library in days (at which point I did notice some patterns in the back which show the scale, but ).

For me, this book is more for inspiration than doing the projects as delivered. The shapes can be the basis for something more suitable for real life, unless you're a teen or younger. Those will squeal with delight at these projects! (My daughter said a couple projects looked like things she did in middle school.) They are all very cute and mostly girlie and I question the durability of many of them. Bows and tulle will not wear well tossed in a purse!

cute crafts / accessories, with a lot of embellishment ideas. some of the "cutesy-est" ones would be more practical if scaled down; nonetheless, i enjoyed the creative spirit.
