Being raised by my abusive stepfather forced me to look outside my home for a male role model. I didn’t have to go far to find one. My freshman year in high school, Percy “P-Nut” Welsh moved next door.

A patched member of SoCal’s notorious Filthy Fuckers MC, he was an easy man to admire and befriend. He was respectful, kind, and intelligent. We soon became close friends, and that friendship lasted long after I graduated. As I grew older, my feelings for him changed, but I chose to keep my thoughts to myself.

When my life turned tragic one day, Percy stepped in and saved me.

He saw it as his duty.

I viewed at it as an opportunity.

I wanted him so bad I ached. There were two things that prevented me from having him:

One; I was a virgin, and I wasn’t about to give myself to someone who wasn’t committed.

"NUTS" is a unique friends to lovers erotic romance tale that has no cheating, no sex outside the relationship, and the most heartwarming of HEAs. Although it is book 5 of a series, it is a stand-alone novel that does not require reading any other novels in the series to enjoy.

“This could be one hell of a ride.”
description

NUTS is the fifth book in the Filthy F*ckers Series. This MC ROMANCE can be read as a stand-alone although, I highly recommend reading each book in this series in order to truly appreciate the relationships and history of these characters. With a heartwarming plot, witty dialogue, beautiful friendship and smoking hot sex NUTS is another standout hit from SD Hildreth.

description
“If you aren’t fucking her,” he said. “Someone else will be. Think about that.”
Joey is a young adult trying to establish a life for herself. Living in an abusive home has been hell for her, and the only peace she has found is in the time she has spent with her neighbor Percy aka "P-Nut." Percy has been her friend over the course of seven years and their time spent hanging out and talking about bikes has given her the inspiration to pursue a career at the local Harley Davidson Dealer. With pressure mounting from her stepfather to move out of the house, Joey increases her efforts to succeed. But even strong independent girls sometimes need a little help from a friend.

description
"On that morning, during the ride on the loudest motorcycle I’d ever heard, I was normal again. I was no longer that girl. The girl left behind."
Percy is a hardcore ADD MC member of the Filthy F*ckers. He is easy on the eyes and has no problem getting any woman he wants. As his brothers are beginning to settle down, Percy hasn't felt any pressure at all to change his ways. But when his sweet neighbor Joey lands herself in some trouble he is more than willing to step up and offer her help. As Joey and Percy spend more time together, their friendship transforms into a beautiful romance. Both Joey and Percy have issues trusting people, and yet, they are confident in the trust they share with each other. As Joey discovers more of her past, her future with P-Nut becomes more apparent. She wants him. P-Nut has never experienced the kind of connection he shares with Joey, and as soon as he realizes exactly what they share, he will stop at nothing to make her his.

description
"His pace increased slightly, taking me to a place where words were no longer able to be used. My mind was a jumbled mess of sexual acts and sensual thoughts. He was fucking his way into my heart, I was sure of it. I could feel it."
Told in dual POV, NUTS is a moving friends to lovers story with real characters who share the experiences of real life. Love, loss, friendship, pain, and joy color the pages as each moment unfolds. Joey and Percy are both strong characters who have lived through trials that have made them apprehensive about love and when they find peace in each other nothing else matters. I thoroughly enjoyed the transformation of their relationship throughout the story, and as their emotional connection grows stronger, the intimacy between them becomes unbreakable. The diversity of the supporting characters greatly enhances the story as they offer friendship and loyalty to Joey and P-Nut. I was especially drawn to Percy's Mom. Her loving touch warmed my heart, and once again Hildreth craftily weaves the importance of family into his story. Family, love, loyalty and friendship are all essential elements in the Filthy F*ckers Series and combined with the action and complex characters solidify this series an absolute must read for MC Romance fans.

description

Overall, NUTS is another winning creation by SD Hildreth. His writing is unique due to its realistic characters and real life circumstances in which they live. Hildreth characters are not flowery or living in a fantasy. They are raw, they are real, and in this case a little NUTS! I highly recommend this series to all of my MC LOVIN' fans!

NUTS is undoubtedly the most difficult book for me to review. Even though I’m prone to spoiling in my reviews, I fear that I’ll spoil it all if I review it accurately. So, I’ll give a less revealing review a try.

Percy “P-Nut” Larsen is a fucking NUT. He intelligent as hell, he proves it over and over. But. He does and says some things that lead the reader (and his fellow bikers) to believe despite this intelligence, that he either doesn’t give a f*ck what anyone thinks, or he’s completely bonkers.

An event in his life that no man would recover from has him reluctant to ever give himself to another woman. (no spoiler here, but WOW).

So, he lives his life banging women when he gets the chance. He never takes them home, he doesn’t take them for rides on his motorcycle, he just hits it and quits it (although discussed, none is on paper in this novel).

One day, a woman who he’s known for years (but paid no attention to) literally plops in his lap. Somewhat of an “Ugly Betty” story surrounds her. He’s known her for years, and has befriended her, but he’s never paid attention to her outer appearance, only her inner offerings.

I wonder if maybe he didn’t want to ‘see’ her? If he feared if he saw her for what she was, that he’d bang her and walk away? Who knows…

At any rate, when the big reveal comes with aforementioned female, things change for him. He doesn’t tell her, he simply sees her differently.

But. We know that she has ALWAYS admired P-Nut.

The book progresses with her attempting to conceal her sexual tension, and with him slowly revealing his desires and thoughts. The end result is both hilarious and sensual.

The girl has a past that is revealed one layer at a time. Each layer lets the reader into her life a little more, and with each revelation, we become more attached to this wonderful depiction of strength.

When we find out just who the girl is, it’s a moment that makes us want to cheer. Then, when we find out who she ‘really’ is, we’re flabbergasted (in a good way).

I liken these two characters to pieces of yarn. As individual pieces, they’re soft and incapable of standing on their own. Together, they intertwine (into, say, a ball) and become more stable, more rigid, and capable of rising above any (and all) obstacles.

I wish I could say more about the heroine, but I can’t.

But I can say this: If you like weak, needy, clingy females, just walk away.

If you like women who stand up, and stand tall, read this book.

This book became a #1 bestseller in the time it took me to read it. There’s a reason for it. I simply won’t reveal it.

But. It has it all.

Badass biker. Check.

Badass heroine. Check.

Off the charts sex. Check.

Story that makes you flip the pages like they’re on fire. Check.

Shocking reveals throughout. Check.

HEA that makes your heart flutter and your lips quiver? Check.

Cheating? No.

Sex outside the relationship? No.

Lastly, it’s available on KU.

For the above reasons, I give this book all I am able.

I will admit as usual, Scott Hildreth has melted my heart. Oh how I wanted P-Nut's story. The loner. The one who can stand toe to toe with Eddie, Smokey's girl, making me laugh at the absurdity of their crazy a$$ banter. But getting the man underneath the kutte, the man who only says what's needed and when needed, was quite the wonderful ride.

There is a great slow burn kind of love simmering between Percy and his neighbor Joey. Fast friends all those years ago, who would have thought they would be perfect for each other, despite their age difference. But he becomes her protector and she becomes his everything and the ease at which they just are is just beautiful.

The scars they each bear, both emotional and physical are tenderly cared by one another. And I'm again in awe that the author used his own personal experience to express his own pain through his characters. There is such ease to this story. It flows effortlessly and I found myself relaxed and happy throughout.

For me, this one is not high on the angst meter and I was perfectly fine with that. The steam factor is also just right with humor always finding its way to make each scene that much more real.

I was not disappointed and I will continue to love these sexy 1%ers as long as Scott Hildreth writes them.

Nuts is anything but. It's an easygoing unexpected kind of love that is sure to make your heart very happy.

I think I might have to rethink how I feel about this author. I read...or rather, attempted to read a few books from another series by this author (Selected Sinners) and wasn't a fan. But I read Rigid (the book before this one) and really enjoyed it. I loved P-Nut's character and so it was pretty much a given I was going to read this one.

Loved it! P-Nut was still just as awesome in this one. We got to learn more about him and why he is the way he is. And his heroine, Joey, was brilliant! I loved how their friendship started out and the minute he sees the evidence of something not being right, he steps up immediately and takes action to protect her. But the thing I love most about this book and the previous one? No Insta-love!! I know there are HEAPS of readers out there who love that sort of shit but I find more enjoyment in watching a relationship start to build into something unbreakable. And I think Mr. Hildreth did a great job of doing that.

It only lost points because of

But overall, a solid 4-4.5 stars from me. Looking forward to reading more in this series.

There's a lot of biker romances written, some better than others, but Scott Hildreth is the master of them. This series is the unicorn with the perfect mix of heat, heart, romance, humor and badass bikers living by their own moral code.

Nuts is easily a stand alone read, but Hildreth fans will enjoy catching up with a few favorites and even a glimpse at some from the Selected Sinners series. If you haven't read them, you need to now!

Spine Tingling

It seems like I've been waiting FOREVER for this book. Now that it's over I'm breathless. I've always been a fan of P-Nut he's been my favorite just because you don't know what he'll ever say or do. That being said I think Scott did a TREMENDOUS job with this particular character. I can actually see him and hear him doing everything that was described in this book. I laughed to the point of tears. I cried because of the vulnerability that was showed. Also, one of the best things in the whole book was Joey, aka Smudge. She never questions or really comments about the things P-Nut does she just accepts and goes on. So thank you Scott in my opinion this should be in the top three at least after the weekend so celebrate another fabulous release day you've earned it.

Loved this story. Filthy Fuckers rule!

I felt like it had a slightly different vibe to Scott's usual wild rides - it was gentler, softer...just a bit more beautiful perhaps? Whatever it was, I couldn't put it down!

There's a voyeuristic scene on the porch that was really nicely done - so hot, visit that again for me please Scott!! Seriously, for me, this author can do no wrong!

Once again Scott Hildreth has outdone himself.
I've read every book in this series and have come to realize you just never know what your going to get. Each of these guys may seem like a typical badass biker, screwing their way through clubhouse whores without a care in the world but you'll soon learn that each and every one of them have something special about them. It may be something be it dark or just tragic that made them the men they are, led them to the MC or it may just be loneliness, the need for a close knit group of brothers to make him feel whole. Either way you don't know what your going to get other than one amazing read.
Nuts is Percy “P-Nut” Larsen's story, and yes he's a bit nuts.
He's also amazing. He like most people has reasons why he keeps to himself, secrets that aren't pretty. He's strong, protective and exactly the kind of neighbor I want. He doesn't trust easy, doesn't openly show emotion to anyone other than his mom (which he takes such good care of, another huge selling point for this man!!) he's a protector at his core and his neighbor is about to send that instinct into overdrive.
Joey has watched him for years. He moved in with his loud bike 7 years ago and she hasn't been able to stop watching him. They became easy friends and eventually as she got older she saw him as more than a friend, realized she was attracted to him even though he'd never see the girl in oversize baggy clothes as anything but the little girl next door. So instead she enjoys every moment in his presence keeping her attraction to herself.
Then the day comes that she's the one who needs defending and P-Nut is the man for the job.
He changes her life in ways she never expected, a freedom, a confidence she's never experienced is now hers thanks to the only man who's ever been this close.
She's changing him as well. All the things he never thought he'd have, never expected he'd want again yet he does.
These two are amazing characters, both having experienced their own pain or tragedy yet being strong enough to soldier on and make a new life for themselves.
Two of a kind, both with huge hearts and strong will make them one of my favorite couples.
We all know I love a protective man and a strong heroine, I can't stomach whiny broken women who refuse to even attempt to stand up for themselves and Joey is so not that woman. She's been through hell but she's moving on, taking zero shit and giving zero f*&ks.
5 stars.

This was an okay read, I didn't love the characters and it took a while to get to the romance scenes, but they were fairly steamy. Joey is 21 and fairly immature. I felt bad for her that she lost her parents and her stepdad abused her, she definitely didn't deserve that. She just said things sometimes that were dumb and I got really sick of the fist bump thing instead of using your words, especially in important moments. Percy "P-Nut" is kind of crazy and also says some dumb things. He and his friend talking about Joey possibly being a lesbian was such a waste and didn't make me like him any more.
The plot was alright, but kind of slow. The narrators tried but I would have preferred to read this over listening.

I finally got my hand's on Scott's NUTS...let me tell ya...it felt good...great even!
Holy shizzz...you know when you think of an MC book and you see a cover of a chiseled biker with tats and abs for days and you think wow this is gonna be a book about riding hogs, chasing women, and crime. Welpppp if you grab Scott's NUTS you will be wrong, while some of that stuff is in the book it's also so much more. It's about loyalty, respect, love, compassion, and ohhh yeah like really hot sex!!!
I mean Percy is a stand up guy in every way he can be...he is loyal, kind, caring, and knows how to treat a gal. He is funny, charming, and a dirty talker.
Joey is the neighbor girl...she has a crush on the big bad biker. Joey gets to see Percy for who he really is...an emotional sex machine, who will stop at nothing to give her the pleasure she deserves.
I am just sorry I did not get a chance to grab Scott's NUTS till now...I give his NUTS five stars.
I ain't telling ya what to do, but if you have a chance to grab Scott's NUTS you should. You.Won't.Be.Sorry!!!

SHIT!!!!! I have no idea how to begin this review…. LOL!!!!
Well I guess I should start by telling Mr. Hildreth WELL DONE, this one, yep it grabbed me, and would not let go!!!!
The novel NUTS, for me was complicated, these characters were multifaceted, what happened to them and how they chose to handle it was in a word, COMPLEX. There were points in this novel that I did not TRUST the action that the characters were taking and that dimension only added to the depth and weight behind the story. IMO. I have not had a novel make me overthink it, argue with it, embrace it, and learn from it, in quit a while. And for this reader those are qualities I crave, when reading.

Let’s start with Joey; she has the most enduring nickname, which you must read to discover. So this character was a joy to get to know. I loved the strength that this girl portrayed and her drive to survive. The things that have been put in front of her produce emotions that made it hard for her to trust and thrive, until she was shown a different perspective….

Insert a badass biker that can create new perspectives…. Percy L. Welsh was a character in a class all his own.… LMAO—I truly cannot explain him, he must be experienced. I can honestly say that this novel produced both love and hate for him. There were soooo many times that P and I argued, THANK GOD he couldn’t hear me, I might have found myself in my own metal box just to shut me up. In the end I respect that this character was living and loving HIS life and how when he trusted, change was welcomed.

Percy in his own special way reminded me that things do not have to be done MY WAY, to be correct, and ya gotta love a book that drops those wonderful life lessons right smack dap in the middle of all the action.

The first supporting character that must be discussed is the one and only Harley Davidson. Mr. Hildreth did an amazing job in allowing us as readers to experience a glimpse of the freedom that is felt on two wheels.

I would be remiss if I did not mention that some old friends make an appearance and the introduction of some VERY INTRIGUING new characters that this reader would love to read more about, and I am not apposed to begging.

I have not had a big ole’ HILDRETH HANGOVER for a while, this one YEP . LOL – after reading this book several times and reflecting (yes fancy way of saying overthinking) I have concluded that those points of this novel I thought I could not TRUST, were the very ones that lead me to the lesson that won in the end, LOVE. NUTS was beautiful story that when you TRUST unconditionally, love is the result. Which is why I strongly recommend, not only this book but also the FF series. To close I guess a heartfelt congratulations and *fist bump* to Mr. Hildreth would be appropriate.
That is it, that is all I got.

I Think I am the Female Form of Nuts

Once again Scott Hildreth has knocked me on my bootie not yet word I want to use) with his newest book NUTS. You will fall in love with Percy and Joey from the beginning. Percy is a no nonsense man that trusts very few people and feels people need to earn it, that's me. I enjoyed seeing Joey's confidence build as the story goes and she became a wonderful support system for Percy.

I Unapologetically Fell In Love With This Story!

NUTS is Book 5 in FFMC series. Each one, better than the previous, if that's possible. However, I think P-Nut has niggled his way into my heart.

Percy aka P-Nut is well-known from previous stories and...you quite simply adore his type of crazy. He's honest about who and what he is. Loyal to his mother and MC brothers, honest with a bit of side stepping, and honor in his actions. He leads a solid life. Not looking for anything more...Until HER!

Joey aka Smudge has longed for Percy from afar. But their friendship always held more for her than her silly fantasy. Until she needed saving and he wanted to be the one saving her.

Friendship, respecting boundaries, a connection with what accepting another person brings along with his or her differences seems to be the foundation for wanting more. For trusting that one someone, with everything.

This couple showed us that simple acceptance, respect, and dignity can allow us to grow, trust, and love.

Throw in some hilarious P-Nut antics, a look into the true brotherhood of a MC and simple destiny and you realize this is a MUST READ! Scott Hildreth...thank you 💞

Amazing!!!!!!

I fell in love with P-Nut when I met him in Smokey's book, Rigid. He is fun, loyal, and a whole lot of crazy. I was so pumped to hear P-Nut was getting his own book.

P-Nut embodies all of the morals and characteristics that make him a perfect FFMC member. P-Nut himself shines bright and I couldn't help fall in love with him. Whether it be his love and devotion for his mother, his retribution for Joey, the protection of his Brothers, or just giving Crip or Smoke some crap, P-Nut did so with flair and in a way no other character has been able to deliver.

Joey caught me right from the beginning. As with all of the female leads in Scotts books, I knew she would be strong, but she blew me out of the park. Smudge is definitely in my top 5 with her smart mouth and quick wit. I loved seeing her and P-Nut paired up. Great job on these two, SD.

I will admit, this book got me in the feels a few times. Some scenes resonated harder than others and made me get something in my eye. The magazine scene at the end was epic. I mean, honestly, how do you come up with these amazing stories?

You knocked another one out of the park, Sir. A superb read from start to finish.

Wow!! I'm always so excited when Scott releases a new book. It's an automatic purchase because I know it's going to be great, and it's also going to be filled with characters I know I'm going to fall in love with.

We've met P-Nut (a/k/a Percy) in earlier books in this series. He's a member of the FFMC who is not only cocky and intimidating, but he's also respectful loyal and hot. Joey is his next door neighbor and a friend. He's a little older than Joey so Percy has never really paid attention or thought about considering more. Until he does. Since the moment Joey met Percy, she's been half in love with him. She has an obsession of motorcycles and the lives of those in MC clubs. She is an absolute sweetheart and is so strong and just a truly lovable character.

Nuts is definitely being added to my list of favorites. The story is so good and I enjoyed watching Joey and Percy open up to each other and learn to trust. Awesome book! Can't wait to see what Scott has in store for us next.

This is the first book I have ever read of Scott Hildreth. I normally stay away from male authors because most male authors I have read just don’t understand what a woman is looking for when reading a bad boy romance. It takes a special male author to be able to reach the women readers. They must know how a woman thinks, what she is looking for in a story, and what she craves. Scott Hildreth has that talent. I truly enjoyed his writing and look forward to reading some more of his books.

I so have a thing for MC book. When I saw this book released, knowing it was the 5th book in the series I was concerned if I would be lost when reading the book since I have not read any of the other previous books in the series. So what is a girl to do? Well ask the author of course if it will work fine as a standalone. So, I am happy to say I was able to follow along in the story without feeling lost. It truly was a great read.

Joey was truly an amazing young woman that had so much strength. My heart broke for her for what she was having to live through. She was truly alone in this world. Her father who was a former biker who road for a MC was dead. She really did not know much about him. Her mother was dead as well. Her stepfather showed no love toward her at all. She was even suffering abuse at the hands of her stepfather. I tried to picture the loneliness and despair she must of felt. All she wanted to do was make enough money to get out on her own. She truly needed a lifeline.

P-Nut aka Percy was this handsome biker neighbor that road for a MC. He had the true bad boy thing going on. No matter what you say to me he had a tender heart that he hide from others. You could see that when it came to Joey and his mother. He had some good moral codes he lived by. When reading about Percy you could tell why Joey had a crush on him. I guess I need to tell you don’t worry, Joey was a legal age so don’t freak out before you give the book a chance. Percy had some serious trust issues going on. He had this wall built up and did not let to many people in. He felt he did not need a stable relationship. To me this had to be a lonely life. To say he relied on his brotherhood would be wrong. Reading the book it was almost like he only let a small handful of the brotherhood in as well.

I love reading about the romance between Joey and Percy. She truly was perfect for him. She knew more about motorcycles then most women. She worked at a Harley dealership and that to me is an interesting story within itself.

I loved reading about Joey and Percy falling in love. It was great to read about the small things. Like her cooking for him or the things he did to being a smile to her face. Little by little these two will start to see how important the other one is in their life.

I had said earlier that Joey needed a lifeline, well so did Percy. He needed someone that could help tear down the walls he had around his heart and teach him to love again. He needed to learn to trust. So not only was Percy Joey’s lifeline and but she was his as well.

This story had a lot going on. It gives you crave in a MC bad boy book. You have the hot steamy scene, the passion, love, and the close brotherhood that you crave. That is something else that I love about MC books is that it shows a close brotherhood. You get to see a brotherhood that takes care of their own. They do this whether a brother is living or is fallen. It truly is something to read about their respect and loyalty for one another. You will also get to see some very touching moments in this book. I truly loved this story and glad I got a chance to read it.

PNut (Percy), brother in the FFMC, trusts very few people and lives the life of a loner, letting few people in. He is loyal to a fault and ready to both kill for and die to protect his brothers in the club, living by the code of Respect, Loyalty, Trust and Honor.

Joey, almost 21, is living with a drunk and abusive step-father. Her escape is working at the Harley Shop and dreaming about her neighbor, Percy. She’s trying to save enough money to move out on her own, but isn’t there just yet.

When PNut sees bruises on Joey’s face, his code of beliefs requires him to take immediate action. After helping Joey move into his place, he teaches her stepfather a lesson he won’t soon forget. Even though they had lived next to one another for years, PNut finally begins to see that Joey is no longer the young and awkward teen she used to be and for the first time in his life, begins having feelings for a woman.

Scott Hildreth outdid himself with this book. PNut had so much more depth than I expected from the interactions we saw in prior books. While he portrays himself as a loner and tough as nails biker, he also cares for his elderly mother and lets his neighbor move in when she has nowhere else to go. Joey is smart and tough as nails, but extremely vulnerable due to not having a family who cares for her present in her life as well as scars that cover her legs. She can take care of herself, but for the first time since her mother died years before, she doesn’t have to.

The more PNut and Joey hang out, they more the discover just how well they fit together. It was fabulous to watch them both grow as individuals and as a new couple due to them bringing out the best qualities in one another.

I also enjoyed the surprise tie in with the Selected Sinners as PNut helps Joey learn more about her past.

This was a brilliant addition to the FFMC series. These books are raw and gritty and at times, emotionally tough, yet always leave you feeling lighter and freer by the end of the book.

5 stars!

This world needs more men like the men in Scott Hildreths novels. While society may not see them as good, they live by a code that makes them the best of humanity. They do "bad" things for the right reasons. P-Nut is a great example of this. He is highly intelligent and slightly nuts. He has trust issues but is smart enough open himself up to love when it finds him. Joey is a great female lead. Though she has some issues of her own she is a very strong and mature character. Its always refreshing to read a Scott Hildreth book because you know you are going to get a break from the stereotypical alpha jerks and weak females. He doesn't rely on ridiculous miscommunication or cheap tricks to produce the conflicts in his stories. The story itself and the characters are enough to keep the reader interested. I would love to get more specific on what I loved so much about NUTS but I do not want to spoil anything for those who haven't read it yet. Lets just say it is a must read!

This was just such a great ending to this series, I have to say I'm going to miss these guys. I think that P-Nut was just the best, he was so damn crazy, honest, loyal, and overall awesome. The way he was with Joey was just the best ever. I think I've had a secret crush on P-Nut from the last book, because of the way he was with both Smoke and Eddie, but seeing why he was that way, his relationship with his mother, and how he loves her, I knew he was going to special. And this was the most special of love stories, I thought that Joey was just so perfect for P-Nut because of her ability to gauge people and their needs (much like P-nut himself) and I loved what they did for each other so much, how they supported each other from the get go, all the way to very last page. I really enjoyed this entire series, and I forgot how great MC books were I'm glad I spent some time with the FFMC.

Wow where do I begin with this review? First of all, rarely do I give a book 5 stars, unless I completely love it. I so wish i could give this 10 stars. Nuts is by far the best book of this series so far. P Nut is quite the character. I don't think I've ever read an MC book with a character quite like him. He's one tough biker on the outside but a sensitive caring man on the inside. I like this book the best so far because Scott Hildreth has taken bits and pieces of events in real life and incorporated into the book and I feel every reader can relate to the characters on some level. I laughed out loud at some of the crazy things Percy says and does. I also cried alot. 4 words resonated throughout this book and the series; Respect, Loyalty, Trust and Honor. I highly recommend this book and series.

Previous to this read, Pretty In Ink was my favorite from this author. Percy, aka P-Nut, blew that out of the water. His & Joey's story is ... well, this author's best work yet. And I've enjoyed quite a few of his stories! The way these two build a friendship, and how that friendship turns into something more is perfectly paced and beautifully written. There's also a poker run that I HIGHLY enjoyed & brought tears to my eyes.

10+++ read for me - even w/ the slightly squelchy parts (I just can't DO gritty like that, it makes me squeamish, so I skipped over a couple pages there). There's a decision Joey helps Percy to make, and the way she goes about gathering information for that decision is nothing short of BRILLIANT. LOVED IT! : )

Pure joy. Chemistry between Joey and P-nut was outstanding. Joey was a strong female and her story is awesome. P-nut was such a contrast...great with Mom and yet his secrets and occupation are all are so damn interesting. One of my favorite lines, "Get your sexy ass in the shower,” I said.
“Being in the shower will come in handy.”
“Why’s that?”
“We can wash the unicorn dust off when we’re done" '.

AMAZING

I think Scott Hildreth has done an outstanding job on this book. Percy and Joey are perfect for each other, they heal each other , protect each other and love each other. Scott seems to never disappoint with each new book he writes. And you won't be disappointed with Nut. And I will never eat another cucumber again without thinking of Pnut!

Not bad. A basic read, but it’s one of the best in this series.

This book is about hope, acceptance, loyalty, trust, honor and respect. Traits that carry through the book. A lesson I pulled away in some aspects of the story is, do unto others as you would have done to you. Another lesson for me would be, to get respect you have to give it and to keep respect you have to earn it. Loyalty is another along with Love. This is no where near a typical love story. Yes, it's a story of strength and growth as a person. But more than that is it's core base, and for me I believe that base to be acceptance. Accepting things you have no control over and making the best of it. Looks can be deceiving. Peel back the layers and you might be surprised what treasure you will find. Which totally applies to this book and the way the characters come to life, damaged or broken by some standards, but stronger because of them. The surprize for me was the six degrees of separation that keeps these books and his other series always tied together. You don't see it coming and the way it hits you is like a shot to the heart. I laughed, worried, cried, laughed, cringed, sighed, and completely feel totally in love with P-Nut and Smudge.
So #oneclick this #mustread #FFMC novel that's totally #NUTS!!

I found Scott's writing thx 2 the Mafia Made Series, recommendation from Amazon from my style I guess?
Book 1 - all about Nick & PeeBee (Peyton) 4 star
Book 2 - all about Nick & PeeBee (Teagan) 5 star 'cause PeeBee is my fave
Book 3 - all about Cholo (Lex)
If you know Spanish ...it will be great for this read. There is a disclaimer in this book. not in the 1st two ... so for me that is where I got curious where we were headed ...total change. I got sort of disconnected .. totally curious who Jen Campbell Rocks? is?
Book 4 - all about Smokey "Grayson" (Sandy) another disclaimer ... curious who Shannon McFarland & Alicia Kraus are?
I had the chance to read them all thanks to a giveaway Scott did have ... so thankful for that ... book 1 & 2 had a more set kind of story, I did seem to follow the story more than what I did find book 3 & 4 are more on the tough side, rough and tough subject matters, more than ever before... their rhythm is totally different ... makes sense to me? For me book #5 ...seems to get back on track of a very similar feel to it that book #1 & #2 did have? Love Scott's style. If you have yet to check out the Mafia Made series please do. Such a fan. ( ;

5 Crazy Ass Must Read Stars!!!!!!

Holding my fist out to you Scott for a "fist bump" on this one!

I say this for every book that I've read by Scott. This is the best book I've read by far from him. I am so amazed and in awe of Scott's writing abilities. How is it that despite all the crazy, at times heart-wrenching, revelations, I still felt as if my heart was swooning. I literally had a smile on my face practically the whole time I was reading even when the tears were streaming down my face.

I liked catching up with some old friends. UGH...The spoilers are itching to come out. I'm stopping here. One-click now! You have to, HAVE TO, read this! I'll even help you out here and include the links.
