ख़्वाब के गाँव में जावेद साहब की कही और लिखी बातों को लिया गया है, और हमें इसमें उनके द्वारा गहराई से महसूस की गई अभिव्यक्तियाँ मिलेंगी। यह क़िताब उनकी कविताओं, उनके गीतों के बोल के अंशों, व उनके विचारों का संकलन है। दिल लज़ीज़ लफ़्ज़ों के साथ ख़ूबसूरत चित्रकारी से यह क़िताब बोल उठती है। .

लेखक ने बड़ी तहज़ीब से अपने ख़यालों को परोसा है। वे जितनी मोहब्बत से ज़िन्दगी और रिश्तों को लफ़्ज़ों में समेटते हैं, उतनी ही शिद्दत से सिनेमा और समाज पर पड़ रहे एक दूसरे के असर को उकेरते हैं। उनका मानना है की समाज का जो फ़िल्मों पर असर है, उससे उन्हें काफ़ी दिक़्क़त है। आम तौर पर रुझान रहता है की फ़िल्में समाज को बिगाड़ रही हैं पर जावेद साहब के विचार इससे उलट जान पड़ते हैं। वो एक सफ़ल शादी की नींव दोस्ती में देखते हैं, जीने के लिए ख़्वाबों की बेख़ुमारी देखते हैं, कुछ कर गुज़रने के लिए दीवानेपन को ज़रूरी मानते हैं।

एक काफ़ी प्यारा अनुभव था उनके ख़्वाब के गाँव में उतरना।

I don't know why this book is rated low. On the other hand, this is what our society needs to read now.
How beautifully he wove the emotions, social philosophy in these short poems and illustrations! How soulful is the book!
You might have different political ideologies but do read this once. I recommend this book to everybody.

I felt i have read most of his poems, shayris and thoughts somewhere else. These days its become a trend to published old work into new book with some new work offers nothing new but an opportunity for the author and the publishers to milk the growing interest in the genre. Those who haven't read any work of Javed should definitely read it.

मुझे दुश्मन से भी खुद्दारी की उम्मीद रहती है

Philosophy of life

This book contains philosophy of life. It reflects our society and tells how it should be. It contains poems, shayris and thoughts. Found it good but not so interesting. That's why I gave ***. Philosophers and Javed Sahab's fan can read it.

This Book captures emotions beautifully ...I must say the Fonts used and style of printing is amazing. Sketches drawn on each page complement the words around soo well... This is one kind of a book where you would want to read more and more. Javed Ji uses extremely simple words to narrate his thoughts here..I Love one of his words..

"ऊँची इमारतों से मकान में घिर गया ,
कुछ लोग मेरे हिस्से का सूरज भी खा गए"

Soo Deep thoughts & Ideas knitted perfectly with simple words...This could be done by Javed Ji Only.

शायद यह पहली कैलीग्राफी बुक है जो मैंने पढ़ी। तमाम मुद्दों पर जावेद अख़्तर की बेहतरीन बयान और कुछ नज्मे करीने से किताब में सजायी गयी है। बमुश्किल आधे घंटे में किताब खत्म कर सकते हैं लेकिन इसकी तासीर सालों तक बनी रहेगी।

This is the first poetry book that I've read in hindi and experience was so good. This book is all about the philosophy of life. In this tiny book, the mixture of social, political and cultural emotions are beautifully presented. Explanation of different language and it's beauty is wonderfully written and sketches drawn on each page with calligraphy is the soul of book. Poetry on life is really touched my heart because in this modern and busy world all we need some kind of punch lines that give us energetic vibes and I think that it works for everyone. While reading this one, I imagine the colours of india and that was most special moment with this lovely book. Recommend to everyone to read this super informative book.

This was my first book by Javed Akhtar and a good short read of about 45 minutes, though the poetry in this book is not usual!
This is more on a deep philosophical side highlighting some experiences of Akhtar sahab's life. There are some poems about the life, some on film industry and his point of view and some on deep affections.
Overall, you'll definitely get the punch of reading a renown poet!
