A duty-bound alien scarred by battle. A shy, smart human determined to survive. With the odds against them, will love be enough to save their lives?
Thunde is a silent, lethal warrior, bound to his squad and determined to fulfill his duties, no matter the personal grudges he holds. When he's forced into another Fraken game, he won't stop fighting until he wins. But whose orders should he follow? And how will he handle his first encounter with a human female?
Jessie is Thunde's prey. Her quiet intelligence and determination is more powerful than any weapon when she meets Thunde, and shows him there's more to strength than muscles and blind fury.
They unite against a common enemy while struggling to keep hold of their emotions and fight a growing attraction, one that will change both of their lives.
Thunde is book 3 in the Vortex Alien Warriors series and tells the complete adventure of Thunde and Jessie. The book is full of sci-fi action and adventure, hot romance, and danger.
Other books in this series: Axen Lazet Thunde Bladen
The last book (I don't think so, but that's my thoughts.) is about the warrior Thunde. Again the warrior is to fight a human female who is tiny and looks fragile. But Jessie may be small, but she has a wealth of knowledge as her previous job was working in the archives on earth. Thunde is under orders to protect her and Axen (with help of the other elite warriors and alien races) will get them out. Unfortunately, Thunde is angry because the Fraken are badgering him for answers as to where the other two elite warriors were at and how they escaped. So before the game began, he was beaten by the Fraken until he was unconscious. Because of the beating, he forgets the code to get them out of the games. Jessie might be small and seem fragile, but she has a lot of knowledge that is highly beneficial to their escape. The entire series has had fantastic character development, great plot, and the story supposedly ends with Thunde and Jessie. But wait, what about Grace? What about Urel finding a mate? What about the war to destroy the Fraken and their evil gaming? I just feel that theirs another book somewhere heading our way! I sure hope so. Loved this series. Love this author. Happy reading my friends!!!!
Well, here we are on book three of this wonderful adventure. Arcadia Shield is rapidly becoming one of my 'go to' Sci-Fi authors. This is the story of Jessie Keenan and Vorten warrior, Thunde. Where he is huge and brawny, she is petite, shy and spent years reading and cataloguing real books on Earth. She also read up on space ships and how they worked, laser technology, the Vorten and the Franken who came to Earth to steal their resources especially their nuclear know how. I found it strange that an advanced civilization did not know about nuclear/neutron fission/fusion. But, this is a story so I just went with it.
As with the previous stories, it is non-stop action going from one dangerous scene to the next. Sometimes Thunde saves the day and sometimes it is Jessie's years of reading that saves the day. It was a perfect romance packed with scenes of danger and nasty villains.
We get our exciting escape from the Franken games and reunion with Axen, Lazet, Eloise, and Melody. Now to get the final pair out of harms way. HEA!! 5 stars from me.
Thunde, book 3 in the Vortex Alien Warriors series, starts off with distressing similarities to books 1 and 2. I mean, how dense are the Fraken bad guys? They keep pairing "their" Vorten hunters with human female "prey" in their rigged "hunts." and when the Vortens defy them, and escape the game? And save the humans? Nope, they throw Thunde in the game against Jessie the mousey little human tech geek/historian/researcher. Of course Thunde is part of the rescue plot. And Jessica is the mouse that bites back! But author Arcadia Shields manages to avoid the three-peat by throwing many nasty monkey wrenches into the plot. I was forced to keep reading to see if alien muscle, human ingenuity, and steamy true love would get everybody to HEA, despite all the twists and turns in this action filled, revenge-motivated prison break book. It was a wild ride, a good read after all, and I'm on to Book 4.
I tried 3. I cant read another. Not only does each book basically repeat itself but the dialog gets worse and worse. There is little to no progression in the overall story line. These Fraken wouldn't be this stupid twice in a row let alone 3 times and now you want me to get on board with a 4th. The first book was not bad, it was a fun book with a cool story but you cant just rewrite the same story over and over and over again and call it a series. Maybe Im a little cranky today but I feel like I wasted my time and THUNDE was the character I was sticking around for and he turned out to be a huge dud.
This is another outstanding book in this series. One more to go and I'm getting anxious for the new one. This author has done a fantastic job of keeping everything in order and keeping it all interesting, entertaining and intriguing at the same time. Each of the females have been just as spirited and equally important as the men in these books. Have high regards for this author and her work in this series. Highly recommend this series to those who like this genre and for those who are getting interested in this genre for the 1st time.
Third book in a great Alien Romance series. Each story puts one captured human female against an alien male. The male is forced to kill his prey. But this time the males are keeping their female human prey. This story gives you a lot of action that ends with one hot scene. The males a always strong and protective and the females are always outwitting everyone. This one has one small female research scientist against one very large warrior. He never knew what hit him.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of the book.
Well, the action and suspense is even greater in this third book of the series! I just love these Vortex warriors! Jessie is a brilliant counterpart to Thunde's alpha skills. Their pairing was so romantic, and I loved their story. Things are headed for a final confrontation with the Fraken. Excellent storyline!
Love this whole series. This author makes each book unique, interesting and a romantic scifi. Particularly liked this book as the h may have small in stature but was intelligent and creative which saved their lives. The H was a strong warrior but smart enough to let the h help him. Enjoy!!!
This is the third of a series of sexy alien men and strong human women. Well written plot with adventure, action, intrigue and fantastic characters. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Jessie is human, small and tiny, but very intelligent. Thunder is the biggest most muscular Vorten warrior of the group. Together they make an unbeatable team against the Fraken. They become the 3rd pair who escape the Fraken games.
Jessie is in a cage with her fellow abductees and is next in their brutal hunting game. Thunde is the next hunter to enter the game and pursue to kill his prey or so the horrible Fraken thought.
