He is the thing that goes bump in the night. He is a liar, a protector...a killer… He is Noah Blake.
...And I love him.
Everything I thought I knew about the night that changed our lives has been turned upside down. I have no idea who to trust, but the one thing I do know is that I am his...And I will do anything to protect him. Lie, betray...kill.
M. Malone is a NYT and USA TODAY bestselling author, a RITA® Award winner, and a member of RWA's Hall of Fame.
She lives with her husband and their two sons in the picturesque mountains of Northern Virginia even though she is afraid of insects, birds, butterflies and other humans.
Since starting her indie publishing journey she has sold over a million books and her titles have hit the NYT and USA Today bestseller lists more than a dozen times. She also holds a Master’s degree in Business from a prestigious college that would no doubt be scandalized at how she’s using her expensive education.
This cover is OK. A little generic in my opinion but I can picture the model as Noah. It's got good composition and unique title work as well. Similar to book one and two so good unity throughout the trilogy.
Book three picks up immediately after book two. Noah's team has been attacked and hurt. Lucia is convinced Rafe may still be alive and takes matters into her own hands to figure it out. Secrets are revealed, and trust is both earned and broken.
This has been an enjoyable series overall. The writing is great. The pace of this one was super fast. There were twists and turns. Loads of action. Some hot sex scenes. I'm still loving all the secondary characters and cannot wait until we get JJ and Jonas's book. Both Lucia and Noah remained likable for the most part. I did struggle a little with their connection in this one. I guess I was expecting them to grow more as a couple but it felt a bit like they were just stagnating in the same type of relationship since book one ended. I don't know, I'm finding it hard to explain. They were just missing something.
This installment for me at least was the weakest of the trio. It felt a bit underdeveloped overall, and the plot felt rushed. With an ending that was a bit anti-climatic. That said, I am assuming that the overall plot will continue through the books of the secondary characters so I wasn't overly bothered by it.
Unashamed is the third novel in this author duo's Shameless series and it was a great way to end this trilogy that i've been following since the very beginning. If there's two things i can say about these books: 1- read the previous novels so that you get the full picture of what's happened to these two characters; and 2- these authors, M. Malone and Nana Malone absolutely know how to tell a story that will captivate you from one book to the next.
4.5 sexy dreams
Ever since i started this series, Noah and Lucia's story was an interesting one and one that i enjoyed. Starting exactly where the previous left off, it answered many of the questions that i had. While i could guess as to what would happen next, i still thought that it was well thought out and still books that i'd recommend to others. Since the Shameless series is my first by either authors, i have nothing to base my opinions on whether or not they differ from their individual releases, but one thing is for sure; i'm curious to find out just how they compare!
Was it a little predictable, yeah, maybe a little. But the idea of getting involved with a guy like Noah, with a past like his, has certain pitfalls, and certain things that I think it is easy to see will be things they need to work through. And, Lucia knows exactly who he is, so there are no surprises there. I thought the authors did a great job of balancing Noah's past, and the things they would need to deal with as a couple with the things that he and Lucia were able to accept about who they each are and were.
The cliffhanger in the previous book is resolved quickly and while I was expecting the book to go in this direction, it was still an interesting ride. For the books to work, you need to resolve a major issue that will always stand in the way of Noah and Lucia until there is a resolution, and I think the one we were given as readers is the better of the 2 options.
The pacing is strong and it avoids the slump that can often occur in the 3rd of a trilogy, when the author is more focused on resolving the plot points than introducing them to move the story forward.
It's impossible to give plot details of this book without a big, huge, giant spoiler, so I am not even going to try.
This series was perfect from beginning to end!! This was one of my favorite trilogy's. I'm going to miss Noah and Lucia, and I'm so ready for more from this group pronto.
This series keeps you guessing the entire time and keeps you in your toes and engaged, this was the perfect conclusion.
I voluntarily reviewed a advanced readers copy of this book
I really wish they had 1/2 star ratings, because Unashamed is definitely a solid 4.5!! What a great conclusion to this fabulous trilogy. M. Malone and Nana Malone did not disappoint their readers with this one. If you thought Shameful took you on a roller coaster ride, wait until you read this one!! If you haven't read the other two books in this series then stop and go read them, because this trilogy must be read in order. Wow!! Unashamed was action-packed from page go!! I could not put this book down once I started reading it, and I honestly did not want it to end. You will not see the ending coming at all.
Unashamed picks up right where Shameful left off...with Lucia trying to wrap her head around what she knows she heard, and Noah beating himself up for not having properly protected the woman he loves. Lucia and Noah are absolutely perfect together. I cannot say it enough, they bring out the best in each other. These two had to overcome a whole lot of trials and tribulations, as well as dangers, which only made their relationship that much stronger. Lucia and Noah, along with the other members of Blake Security, showed each other what it means to be family, and to protect those you love.
Unashamed was a fun, suspenseful, sexy, exciting, well-written read with plenty of scenes that were just laugh out loud funny. The characters, especially the men of Blake Security, in this trilogy were complex and extremely well-developed, and all have very interesting backstories that I really hope we get to find out about at a future date. So, yeah, I am truly hoping that there will be more books forthcoming about the other guys in Blake Security, as well as about a certain mystery man. I cannot recommend this trilogy enough. I absolutely loved every minute of it. Very well done, Malone Squared!! I cannot wait to see what you two ladies have in store for us readers next.
I'm so happy to get to the bottom of everything!! Is Rafe back or not? Does Noah really love Lucia? Will things work out and settle down? Who is after Lucia? Is Noah still a part of ORUS? Are his guys?
All of these questions and more will be answered.
Even though I love this book, it just didn't feel as strong as the first two.
“I don’t need wishes. I already have everything I want...”
It's a novella that wraps up the whole story in a nice, near package. I liked how quickly it could be read.
There was a bit more laughter in this part of the story. Intense and quick paced, you need to read this series to find out if there is a happily ever after.
Overall this was a good read but this one seemed rushed at times. An epilogue would have put this story at 4 stars easily. As is "Unashamed" was given 3.5 memorable stars ***.5
What a perfect ending Book 3 of the trilogy. I love that Noah and Lucia's love can stand the test of time. I love that Noah was willing to break his own rule for Lucia. I love all the twist and turns, the suspense, the mysteries and most of all the action, The book was well written and keep me interested from beginning to end. This book also showed that you have to be blood relatives to be family. Which I want more of all of them. I was happy for the little surprise it was worth the wait. I'm looking forward to the other guys finding love. I hope soon.
This is the third and final instalment in this series and overall it was quite an exceptional and compelling story to read. It had lots of intrigue and the conclusion was quite unexpected, adding to the overall unique and brilliant plot throughout.
Noah hated being helpless, but when he finds his office destroyed, his men incapacitated and Lucia almost kidnapped, that is exactly how he feels; his past almost cost him the woman he loves. As a former top operative in ORUS, Noah would protect Lucia at all cost; it would be his life’s goal. Lucia had started digging into the past and sifting through secrets that were dangerous, but she couldn’t deny who had been in that room with her when the altercation took place, and nothing would ever be the same again; and it isn’t the minute she finds irrefutable proof. Lucia’s memories have been coming back a little more each day, but being reckless is out of character for her. Rafe had been more than a mentor to Noah; he had saved him in other ways that mattered. It has been 6-years since Lucia last saw Rafe, but his remarks about Noah and his men take her by surprise; he is judging Noah when he had done something much worse, lying to her and letting her mourn him for years for nothing. Rafe has come out of hiding to make sure Lucia is safe; he would explain everything to her, but no way will Lucia leave Noah. Lucia cannot ignore the many ways Rafe’s supposed death has changed her; she is no longer the innocent, naïve girl who accepted things at face value and she is not ready to have Rafe back in her life without understanding his motives or the reason he has come back into her life; but what Lucia doesn’t realise is that Rafe has stayed hidden for a long time for a reason. Noah knows Lucia is hiding something, but it is not quite what he is expecting. At Lucia’s 21st birthday event, Rafe makes another appearance and Lucia goes from peacemaker to hostage. All this time guilt had wracked Noah and sorrow had torn Lucia apart; it was all for nothing because Rafe is really alive. Now it is time for the truth to be revealed, but it is not what Noah expects and only results in an impasse; can Noah and Rafe finally call a truce and ascertain who is really trying to kill Lucia, and why, and what can be done to stop the hit? I really enjoyed reading this 3-part book and would certainly have no hesitation in recommending it. A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.
I've read some good, some bad from this writing duo. This series was okay. It could have been done in one book.
The authors wanted more money, so they dragged it along in three books and numerous unnecessary sex scenes. Then ended the whole thing in a kind of abrupt way without giving you the full "Aww" ending. After three books. Whatever.
The following is a series of thoughts and impressions from reading the series and this book in particular. They are in no general order. There may be spoilers.
This is the third in the series. I have to keep in mind that the h, Lucia is only 20. Although her job and the situations she is in don't make her age believable, her stupidity at times certainly does.
Honey, contract killer shooting up your love nest, and you think it's a great idea to go out for drinks just because it's your birthday? Le sigh. And you aren't the slightest bit suspicious that your highly Uber protective boyfriend and his team of trained killers let you? Nope, that wasn't a set up at all.
Also, these professional killers? Not too good at their jobs. Lucia was everywhere. Not one person could get a shot off? Really? They didn't even try to use her family or friends against her. What kind of namby-pamby murderers are these?
Lucia and Noah are sweet and you're really rooting for the good girl with bad memories and bad boy who just wants to be loved, but they get to be a bit much at times. Just ask their roommates.
Noah talks about how well he was trained but, apparently, a hand on his dangly bits makes him forget all about armed gunmen. So well trained, but your security "fortress" where you brought Lucia to protect her, is made of steel and glass but doesn't have BULLETPROOF GLASS? Le eye roll
There's one big reveal, though, if you've been reading any of these at all, you know what it is from book one.
Everything is such a big mystery, so dangerous, so fast paced, then all of a sudden the end is tied up like nothing in a neat little bow. But without the satisfaction of seeing how it affects the main characters of the story. And we never did find out H's history before foster care. Even though the h brought it up numerous times. Why bring it up, then?
Can someone please CHECK ON NONNA? PLEASE. I was so worried about her throughout the whole book. Less sex, more seeing if the old lady has been kidnapped and tortured by the contract killer after her granddaughter, please.
Three stars because there were three books, they weren't horrible, and they didn't cost too much.
This book started right where the last one ended and what a mess they have to deal with, not only are the men severely hurt but Lucia feels like she is losing her mind. Now with everything a mess they have to go underground because there is too much danger for Lucia. Lucia is feeling guilty for all of the men getting hurt and she feels like she may be going crazy, when she tries to tell Noah what she thinks happened, what she thinks she heard, he does not take her seriously, instead he is really worried about her and so she turns to her best friend JJ and she is there to support her, she is great. Then Lucia revisits a spot that was special to her and Rafe and she was encouraged even more of her belief that he is alive. I will say the thing her and Noah does at this location is a little strange but whatever. My heart breaks for Noah, he is so worried about Lucia because she has withdrawn some, she seems like she is not the same and he turns to Nonna for support and she tells him "My bambina loves you. So this is not luck, this is fate. You are strong in all the ways she needs you to be. When she loses her way, you'll bring her back." Then Rafe shows up at her work and wants her to leave with him but she declines, she is confused, especially when he says Noah is the enemy, obviously he does not know what has happened since that day. Because of this visit Noah finally finds out that Rafe is alive and Lucia was right all along. Then this all comes to a head and finally they are all in the same room and at first it does not go well but then more is revealed and we find out even more secrets and in the end they come to a truce. From this point forward they all work together to stop the person who is trying to kill Lucia, I loved that Noah and Rafe were together again. Then they are caught off guard and Noah was surprised at who it is trying to kill Lucia, but now Noah is out for blood and revenge. Noah takes care of business and hopefully starts something good. I don't love the abrupt ending, I think it is strange that Rafe is still hiding, and I want to read more about Noah and Lucia. I did see that the author is coming out with a spinoff book so hopefully we will see more of all of these characters in the next book.
Perfect Conclusion with the right amount of twists!
I made it to the end! And the Malones did not disappoint!!! I can forgive them now for ALL THE SUSPENSE!!! Do not read this book if you haven't read Shameless & Shameful yet!!!
Noah Blake doesn't scare easily. He has lived with danger his entire life, and his goal is to keep those he loves away from it. Noah has promised himself that those close to him will always be taken care of and he will stop at nothing to make that happen. Lucia DeMarco has been hit with life changing news! She doesn't know what to do with what has happened and she doesn't know who to trust. Just when she was learning to move forward in her life, she is thrown a curveball! Noah & Lucia have a lot to face together & with the team hurt, they need to trust each other more than ever! But that may be easier said than done! The many dynamics involved in this team/family that has been built around Noah & Lucia has to be strengthened. They don't know who to trust and who is after them.
Unashamed is definitely the perfect ending for Noah & Lucia's story... They struggle through a lot of issues during this final episode, but it is resolved at the end (as much as it could be!) Noah proves time & time again that his "family" is all that matters to him. This book left you wanting more for the rest of Noah's team. You want them all to feel the love that Noah has found! M & Nana Malone are two of my favorite writers and seeing them combine together for this story was just PERFECTION! The characters were developed... Had personality... And made you love them (even when you hated them!) I loved how the story came together and there was just the right amount of suspense! The Men of Blake Security are my new favorite Alphas!!!
I received this book in exchange for my honest review!
Unashamed The Shameless Trilogy Book 3 by M. Malone, Nana Malone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ WOW! This is a Amazing Great Hot Read! I couldn't wait to read UnShamed. I read it the first day it appeared on my reader. Unshamed is the third book in this AWESOME conclusion to this fabulous trilogy! it's about Noah and Lucia relationship. I really enjoyed everything about this book. This final book in the fabulous SHAMELESS trilogy! Noah is still that man that goes bump in the night. He tells a lies when he has too, he's a great protector, a killer and he loves Lucia. Oh My the fire between Noah and Lucia is scorching hot but the danger is even closer, WOW this will have you on the edge of your seat until you finish the book! And yes there are surprises in store that will be revealed. Ooh this is fabulous, exciting and I enjoyed the chemistry between Noah and Lucia along with the guys at Blake Security! I hope that this is the start of something else maybe a spinoff into another series involving the other guys of the Blake Security team. I can just imagine the sparks between Jonah and JJ Lucia friend. My my I love and enjoyed reading this cast of characters, NaNa and M Malone development of their characters are on point, impressive, engaging and they are so praise worthy. And you can't help but enjoy these characters, their banter is superb, the plot is fantastic, it's picturesque with dynamic scene descriptions, pent-up rage, gripping suspense, intrigue, spine-tingling and a fabulous conclusion. I absolutely enjoyed this series I can't hardly wait until I read the next series written by Rebecca Royce. THIS IS A MUST READ I certainly recommend this book to readers that like to read a Phenomenal read. I voluntarily reviewed this book, because I love sharing my thoughts with my fellow readers
Noah Blake works with some very brave men. Lucia DeMarco seems to be strung a little tight. If you start to read this book, you’ll find that this is a trilogy that needs to be read in order. Otherwise, you won’t know how the characters got to this point.
The secondary characters are just as good as the main ones. I still love Lucia’s friend JJ. Personally, I find that I would love to see more of her. And if you read to the end of this book, you will find that we will. Besides being a great friend, I look forward to the scenes she’s in. She keeps her friend on her toes with some of the things that come out of her mouth and she’s very protective.
This is a story of trust. But it begs the question “Trust of what or of whom?” And this is why I’m glad that I’m not in Lucia’s shoes. There are so many twists and turns that I hated to look away for even a second. I was in the book’s grip and I didn’t want it to let me go. Lucia shows that a lot of our life isn’t all cut and dry. There are a lot of gray areas that we have to wade through and it’s never easy.
This story had so much suspense – constantly on tender hooks trying to patiently wait as everything plays out. I was almost sorry to see this trilogy end but then I might not get a chance to read more of what these authors have to offer. Even though this was the third book, I felt like the ending left me hanging. Don’t feel as if something important to the storyline got solved. This didn’t detract from my enjoyment. I’m just hoping that maybe we’ll see stories based on our secondary characters.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
Unashamed is the final book in Lucia and Noah's story. The Shameless Trilogy has been so suspenseful, so tense. One mystery after another; for each answer we learn, another two questions pop up. Cliffhangers that left you gasping. But here we are at the end. This book does not disappoint, but it doesn't fully deliver either.
At the end of Shameless, Blake Security team is in shambles and hurt. Lucia has received a shock that rocks her. Despite her rational brain telling her it's not possible and everyone telling her that she's wrong, maybe a little crazy, Lucia follows up and finds that she is right. Her world is changed once again. But there's so much she doesn't understand, she doesn't know who to trust, and she's still in danger.
This book felt a little rushed to me. I was hoping for more to happen after the big reveal. It seemed like the book just ended. After all the build-up and suspense, it was a bit anti-climatic. Also, as much as I love Lucia and Noah, I was disappointed with their relationship in this one. There's love and passion. The sex was fantastic. But there's still no emotional trust. Their first reaction is always to lie to each other. I was hoping we were beyond that. Still, the book was entertaining. We got answers to the big questions and the danger was resolved. The book also left open so much room for plenty of other books on the rest of the characters. I'm looking forward to reading much more about Blake Security in the future.
This was a really great conclusion to the trilogy. There were things I knew were coming, but to see how they played out was tense in a good way. Chemistry was still super strong and did its job binding Noah and Lucia deeper than their words could express their feelings. The entire Blake security team still interests me and I'm looking forward to reading more about their romantic "demise". Lucia remained young despite all the craziness she goes through and I haven't decided if I like that about her or not. While she's found a bit more maturity I'm also reminded that she's still very young and has a lot of "normal" life to experience to fully round her out as a woman and a person. Noah still has a martyr's heart but he's finding peace with Lucia which leaves me feeling more than hopeful for him. There was quite a bit of drama in this one with the hit escalation and the confrontation of the returning "hit man" was more exciting than the end fight scene, that was was quite downplayed. And while I didn't see the conclusion coming, I feel good about where it ended up.
Overall, the trilogy is at a close with good feelings, hope, excitement, passion, and a huge dose of interest in the lives that will play out in future books (we hope!). I willingly read and reviewed this as an ARC from the author.
At the end of Shameful, Lucia had made a startling discovery. She knew the man abducting her. Then Noah came and the man escaped. All of the team protecting her had been severely injured. Guilt plagued her on two fronts. Those men were hurt because of her and she was keeping what she knew a secret.
Noah failed to protect the women he loved. His loyal men had been hurt doing his job. What kind of man could take out his team? He'd trained them. He knew how good they were.
As a fan of the romances written by these talented ladies, I was unprepared for the thrill of this intrigue. Oh, the romance is there with plenty of steam. Noah and Lucia are a couple who deserve each other. Their past has been a trial. They deserve love. Noah's history is tough and not what Lucia ever expected. Still, she loved him. Had long loved him. Their feelings grew stronger despite the danger and secrets that would ruin most couples. How will they manage to keep their love and live through the danger that haunts them?
This is one of the best books/series I've read and I'm a serious fan of Black Ops type stories. I hope these authors continue to add this genre to their file of excellent reads. I'll be there for sure.
**Possible Spoiler Alert** I was given an ARC copy for a honest opinion........
I absolutely loved this series. Noah and Lucia were great characters, Noah was all the hard and Lucia was all the soft, but together they were in love and she was in danger. Noah would do anything to protect her, especially since he felt responsible for her. I was particularly happy that Rafe was alive, having the death of someone you love on your hand is a tough thing to live with. I loved the action and suspense, it kept me wanting to read more. I loved the scene at the club on the rooftop Mathias getting a little revenge fight. (Awesome) I was happy they were all able to work things out realizing they all wanted the same thing, Lucia safe and sound.
I have to admit the end was a little unexpected, I knew Norah would do what was necessary to protect Lucia, but I thought Rafe would get the assist. Not complaining though... lol. This series was hard to let go. I want more.
This series has so many avenues to go for more series. All the characters have so much identity. Looking for to Jonas and JJ. But could possibly Rafe find love too..and what about Matthias.. oh well just a suggestion.
Thank you Malone Squared 😉

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This is the third book in this trilogy centering around Noah Blake and Lucia DeMarco. Each preceding book ends in a cliffhanger, and they should not be read alone or out of order. This story picks up where Shameful ended. It is action packed, and there are turns to this story that I never saw coming.
Noah and Lucia are in love. The love that they share is real, leaving only the question of forgiveness. Can Lucia forgive Noah? Can he prove to be the man that she needs in her life? Can they hold on to each other through turmoil and come out stronger in the end?
This was an amazing, non-stop, action filled series that proves that sometimes a cliff hanger isn’t a bad thing. Each story blends seamlessly into the next. This particular part of the series wrapped everything up nicely between Noah and Lucia, but also left room for more stories. There are still questions in my head left unanswered. Not enough that I felt like there wasn’t closure, but only enough to feel like there is more coming.
I would recommend this book for anyone that enjoys action with their romance. There is definitely enough going on to keep anyone interested.
This is the final book in the trilogy about Noah and Lucia. While I did guess who tried to kidnap Lucia at the end of the last book I didn't see some of the surprises in this book. As Lucia and Noah's relationship continues to grow the two must learn to trust each other and realize that when they do things it is not because they don't trust or love the other. As Noah and his crack security group try to keep Lucia safe she continues to want to know what happened to her brother. She realizes that she is putting herself and her friends in danger and that reality comes front and center when someone tries to kidnap her and ends up hurting several of her security friends. As Lucia and Noah must come to grips with the surprise neither saw coming they must also learn to work together with this surprise to find out who wants Lucia dead. I really enjoyed these three books and am grateful that I received them as ARCS. I did think that this book ended a bit abrupt as I wanted to see what happens between Noah. Lucia and their surprise (I'm trying not to give something away). It would be great to see books about some of the other security men and Lucia crazy friend JJ.
This is book 3 in a trilogy and they must be read in order.
So, I have to admit, I kinda saw the ending in Shameful. I somehow figured Noah was involved in Rafe’s death. But Shameless completely threw me for a loop. At the end, we still didn’t know who is after Lucia. In book 3 we are supposed to finally get the rest of the story and we do, but for some reason it was a bit anticlimactic for me. Maybe it was that things wrapped up to quickly or that we are left with a few loose ends that were not resolved.
I know there is a spinoff coming, which focuses on a different couple, but I still feel that Rafe’s story has not been resolved. And maybe I missed it, but I’m not sure I 100% understand why anyone was ever after Lucia to begin with. Overall, I was pleased with how Noah and Lucia end up, and hopefully we learn more about their HEA in the next book. I don't want to say more about my concerns as they would be spoilers, but the ending was rushed.
Hero 5 stars / Heroine 5 stars / Steam 5 stars / Plot 3 stars / Overall 4.5 Stars Keys: Dual POV, MF, Part of a series, Edge of my seat, Twists & Turns #MSBB - I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
I am absolutely insane for this series, and this third book just blew me away! Can't imagine a better way to have wrapped this thing up. The plot is beyond intriguing, the imagery is incredibly vivid, the writing is increasingly impressive, and the characters just jump right off the page. Authentic, engaging, and passionate, they draw you right into the story and into this extraordinary cloak and dagger world the author has created for us. You just can't help but become invested in their lives. This is a book full of backdoor heroes trying to do the right thing in a world where it's hard to know who you can trust. They fight for good; they fight for each other; and they fight for love. This book is never boring. It keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time with your heart racing and your pulse pounding. It's inventive and insightful, impassioned and exciting, enthralling and absolutely riveting. I would highly recommend this book/series to anyone looking for a sexy and compelling read.
*I was given an ARC of this book and voluntarily chose to review. All opinions are my own.
Unashamed is the third book in The Shameless Trilogy and what a great ending it was for Noah and Lucia. This book starts where Shameful left off, with Lucia wondering if what she thinks she knows is true and Noah beating himself up because he was not there to protect her when she needed him most. More determined than ever to protect Lucia, the team pulls together while at the same time Lucia is pulling away and keeping secrets that could cost someone their life. Noah as always is her protector, even if he has to lie to do that and the other guys at Blake Security feel the same way. I loved all these guys, they show that you can be family, without being blood kin. I know that Jonas is getting a book but I hope that Matthias and Oskar does too. I don't want to say too much and give away anything from this book, I just want to say to get ready for a wild ride, there are twists and turns, suspense, secrets, action, passion and romance. Also, this is the third book in a trilogy that must be read in order. Five "bump in the night stars for this one", actually for the entire trilogy, it was amazing!!
Overall the storyline in the Shameless Trilogy is solid. I would like to have read books one, two and three folded into one book and not into trilogy. The transitions in the reading would run more smoothly.
The cast of characters in Shameless are a rather motley crew, fun and sad at the same time. There is a lot of mileage still left to be written about with this mysterious group that makes up Noah's team and even more about Noah too it seems. Noah is a great character and teamed up with Lucia her brother and the rest of the cast, the future may prove intriquing.
Editors on this trilogy should take another look at the age errors. No spoilers here, but, Lucia is 21 in books one and two, and then has a 21st birthday in book three. Age gaps are incorrect all the way around. Noah by all accounts is presented as 26 or 27 in the first two books with Lucia at 21. He is five years older than Lucia in the final book. There were also some typos in the book. With an idea and story that is functionally good, why mess it up with detail errors? For future print/publications, publishers should be on these issues.
Someone asked on one of the FB feeds what was the best book we’ve read all year, and I have to say that this book series is the best I’ve read in a very long time, and that’s saying something because I generally don’t read serials. The first two books were absolutely breathtaking – drawing the readers in to experience so many highs and lows, laughter and tears, love and hate. In this third and final book, the shocking discovery at the end of the second is heartbreaking in its revelation and heartwarming in the effect it has on the other characters and overall events. Every woman deserves a man who is as loving and protective as Noah is to Lucia, and at times their love is the only thing that sees them through to another day. Without giving away any spoilers, I will assure readers that the ending to this book is immensely satisfying. If you’ve read the first two, you have to read this one. If you haven’t yet, you should. It’s an experience like no other. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
My long wait for Book 3 in the Shameless Trilogy did not disappoint! I normally do not like books that leave in a cliffhanger but M. Malone knows how to write one the correct way. Even though I was sure I knew who the mysterious man was that attempted to kidnap Lucia, the reveal was so well written that I was not upset that I had already figured it out. This book kept me on the edge of my seat as I raced toward the ending hoping that all the secrets would be revealed and I got my wish. While this is supposed to be the end of the Shameless series there was a glimmer of hope for all devoted readers that love the men (and women) of Blake Securities in that there may be some books coming out that explore the lives of the other men Noah employs. I for one cannot wait to have the chance to continue to read about all these drool worthy men who can kill with their bare hands but have killer smiles as well. Be still my heart because I would love some of their dangerous ways.
I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Wow! What a thrilling conclusion to this amazing trilogy! Right from book one, you are taken on one rollercoaster of a ride and it's one you do not want to get off until the very end! It's sexy, exciting, thrilling, with unexpected twists and turns, sexy and encompassing scenes, wit, charm, sass and it all makes for one riveting read!
Noah and Lucia have battled a lot to be together...and with the dual POV, it makes these dynamic characters come alive. Stellar writing will have you so enraptured in their story that you won't be able to put it down once you start! Their sexual chemistry jumps right off the page, holding you captive and leaving you breathless. Their love, sass and charm will have you cheering them on and even laughing out loud in scenes. The unexpected ending will have you reeling...It's really a thrilling and sensual epic romance!
It's a definite must read, but you must read the trilogy from the beginning in order to fully appreciate the greatness of these two amazing writers and the tantalizing tale they weave!
I voluntarily received an ARC for my honest review.
