College was supposed to be a new beginning for Monica. Everything started off fresh, and she was finally able to have a life of her own. All of that changes when Gabriel enters her life. He is everything she's been looking for excluding the hurdles of being in an interracial relationship. Gabriel will do anything for Monica and vows never to hurt her. Can he keep his word or will Gabriel be just another tragic time in Monica's life?
***Warning there is a Cliffhanger, although I was kind enough to include the first chapter of the next book in the series.
This is absolutely the dumbest, most clueless protagonist I have ever encountered. Any stupider and she'd be comatose. This young black woman doesn't recognize the implication of morning sickness, which is appropriately symbolic of all the other painfully obvious evidence she misses or about which she meekly swallows fishy stories hook, line and sinker.
She is so stupid that any empathy I might have had faded into simple disgust at her inability to cope in life. I don't need to read any more in this series; this one was already too much.
No character development at all. Way too rushed. I understand a cliffhanger and wanting to get paid to reveal but that 1st book didnt even give enough to make me want to care enough about part 2.
Lemme guess. Gabriel had no idea angelica was there. His mom never gave him the note so all these years he didnt know that he had a kid. Somebody lied to him and said something about monica leaving him so thats why he didnt go after her when she caught angelica in his bed.
the whole thing is unbelievable from the start. why would he tell her he had a surprise for her then be asleep for the reveal?
If you can, I highly recommend you (the author) go back and edit this book. There are missing words and poorly written sentences that made it challenging to read. Otherwise this book has potential. Hopefully, the story does not end there.
I really hate cliffhangers. So I will give the author a cliffhanger and save my review for later. And btw Sharp....don't let that 3 star fool you. I have PLENTY to say about this novella so until then....😎
This is a very short story but, T. S. Did a wonderful job telling it. Gabriel and Monica were great, funny and full of sass together .. Until something happened. Can't wait for book #2 to find out what happened. Great read folks!!
Although Monica's feelings were severely hurt, I seriously doubt that Gabe did what she thinks he did. I guess I'll have to read the second part to know for sure.
