Saloni Malhotra is miserable with her lonely and servile existence in Chicago, while her husband Dr. Manish Chawla is too selfish to be bothered about his wife’s happiness. It’s watching her sister’s closeness to her new husband that actually opens Saloni’s eyes to the lack in her life.
Aarav Chopra hasn’t looked at another woman since he fell in love with the seventeen-year-old Saloni. The nine years in-between seem to disappear when he sets eyes on her again at her sister’s wedding. But this time round, his love stretches to include her son too, as Mitesh holds not just Aarav’s finger but also his heart in his little hand.
Things come to a head when she flees Chicago to return to Delhi along with her baby son Mitesh.
Life throws Saloni and Aarav together as she goes to work in his group of companies while awaiting her divorce. The attraction is as powerful as ever! But Saloni is absolutely clear that she wouldn’t be tied to a man ever again.
Sundari Venkatraman is an Indie Author who has 76 self-published books to her credit. These books have consistently featured in the Top 100 Bestseller Lists on Amazon India, Amazon USA, Amazon UK, Amazon Canada and Amazon Australia in both romance as well as Asian Drama categories. Her latest hot romances have all been on #1 Bestseller slot in Amazon India for over a month. These days, the author is independently publishing her novels in paperback format under her banner Flaming Sun, printed and distributed by Notion Press. Even as a child, Sundari absolutely loved the ‘lived happily ever after’ syndrome and she grew up on a steady diet of fairy tales, Phantom comics and Mandrake comics. It was always about good triumphing over evil and a happy ending after the protagonists surmounted all unexpected obstacles. Once she entered her teens, Sundari switched her loyalties from fairy tales to Mills & Boon. While she loved reading both of these, she kept visualising what would have happened if there were similar situations happening in India; to local heroes and heroines. And of course, the joy of vanquishing the ubiquitous evil villains! Her imagination soared and she happily ensconced herself in a rosy romantic cocoon for many years. Then came the writing—a true bolt from the blue! And Sundari Venkatraman has never looked back. Use hashtag #60at60 You can connect with the author here: https://linktr.ee/sundarivenkatraman
There is a simplicity in this story. While the heat quotient is decently high you can't help but root for the chemistry between Aarav and Saloni. On the other hand, there is another factor in this story. Salon's young son, Mitesh. How does a man accept another man's child without feeling any jealousy? Again I can say that Sundari Venkatraman, has touched or rather taken this part for granted in her story.
A nice romance to hang out with! Since I had started reading Sundari Venkatraman’s romances this would be the first time I had to wait this long to read her book. Better late than never. Trying to start afresh after a meaningless married life Saloni least expected Aarav to bestow upon her so much love and affection. The sweetness is so overwhelming, with Aarav not expecting anything in return even after giving up on marriage when his first and only love Saloni had got married. A beautifully woven love story with a sweet catalyst Mitesh to just add up the love quotient.
A perfect tale.. recommend highly for people who are in love and who are about to get married.. the author has put time and effort in understanding why marriages fail these days (especially the arranged one). Love and understanding should be present even after getting married else it won't work out no matter which part of country or how luxurious life you lead on.
As a fan of Sundari Venkatraman’s books, I couldn’t miss this new release that promised to be a ‘perfect’ read. As usual, the author delivered.
At first, everything in Saloni’s life seems to be as far from ‘perfect’ as it could be: Sure, she’s married, but unhappily so. Her husband is an uncaring, conservative, career-oriented fool. One of those NRIs who pretend to be all modern and successful but have never left the confines of narrow-minded Asian thinking behind. To him, a wife is a nothing more than a servant. I could almost—almost!—forgive him that because it’s so common, but on top of that he also completely ignores his infant son. Oh, how I hate this Manish monster who doesn’t deserve to be called a man or husband! I’m damn glad Saloni chooses to leave him, consequences be damned.
As for Saloni, she’s got a strong will and quite some sass once she comes out of her shell. She loves her son and values her education, and so she embarks on a quest to find herself and a better purpose in life. It was lovely seeing her come into her own, with some encouragement from her wonderful grandmother and some help from Aarav.
Ah, Aarav. The hero, who nearly is ‘perfect’ indeed. Hot, intelligent, successful, determined and caring, he’s all Sal could have wished for and a much better choice for a husband. I loved his humble background and how he understands Saloni to a T.
I enjoyed this novella with its breezy pace, emotional undercurrent and modern outlook on marriages, relationships, family dynamics and feminism. Off and on, there was some head-hopping and a scene that could’ve been better fleshed-out – but then, this isn’t a long novel and it fits with the author’s popular style. I can recommend this book to everyone fond of strong women, Indian romance with a steamy touch, and totally swoonworthy heroes.
I may not have time during the day to do any reading but whenever Sundari Venkatraman pushes the publish button on a new book I immediately buy it and will make time to read it's I so very much enjoy her books and very soon there will not be sufficient stars to classify her books. Once again I found this romance very endearing mainly because of the tenderness and love that Aarav bestowed upon Salonica and her little son Mitesh. A must read.
Felt good to read. An ideal love story. Author has done a great job of writing a beautiful feel good story but the story is too simple and fails to catch all the factors and emotions attached with such circumstances. Good book for passing time but nothing substantial.
Sundari mam is one with something else in her fingers., she does magic when she has a pen on the paper.... And this book is just one of her magic. U read this bOOK now., and read again after a year... U feel its fresh from oven.. I dont know how u do this but its perfect. Btwim reading this book 5th time after 3 years
I so love Ms. Venkatraman's books. She always delivers a great plot that is well written and has characters that everyone can relate too. Mr. Perfect is no exception. The plot starts sad but turns out heartwarming.
Time pass read....Not different from others by the author....Handsome and rich guy falling for a women....being good and doing good....but I somehow felt the book ended suddenly. There is something missing in the book....
I love you and only you. After all these years, what I realize is that it’s enough just to be in love with you. If you reciprocate my feelings and we can get together, it would be a celebration. Even otherwise, I never moped about it. But there’s no question of moving on. I’m not interested in setting up home with any other woman. It’s either you or no one.
The same routine melodrama that didn't add anything much to the blurb itself. But what stood out was some lines, the emotions of a guy who is in love with a girl for nine years. It only shows, love doesn't change with marital status, if it changes was it love at first place?
I’ve been in love with you for more than nine years now. I left it till too late to tell you before. It doesn’t mean that you have to reciprocate my feelings or even do anything about it. I just want you to know. Bas!”
