"One day, Taylor decided to build something. Something new. Something special."When Taylor completes the huge structure, something terrible happens and that once beautiful sculpture is in pieces.
But Taylor doesn't want to follow their advice - nothing feels quite right...until the rabbit arrives.
"One by one, they came.
The hyena: 'Har-hee! Let's laugh about it!'
The ostrich: 'Gulp! Let's hide and pretend nothing happened!'
The kangaroo: 'Tsk tsk. What a mess! Let's throw it away!'
And the snake: "Shhhhh. Let'ssss go knock down someone else'ssss.' "
And it's only when Taylor feels the strong, steady presence of the rabbit can the little kid process what happened.
"In the quiet, Taylor didn't even notice the rabbit. But it moved closer, and closer. Until Taylor could feel its warm body."
Little Taylor had built a wonderful structure using his toy bricks when something terrible makes the entire thing collapse. As expected, Taylor is upset about his efforts going to waste. Many animals come to him one by one offering him advice on what he should do next. But Taylor’s lack of response drives them all away. And then, the rabbit arrives. And sits next to Taylor. And listens. Which works perfectly for Taylor.
