"In Disney’s live-action film “Beauty and the Beast,” Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman, is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast’s hideous exterior and realize the kind heart and soul of the true Prince inside. This manga explores the Beast's struggle as he tries to move on from his past and learn what it is to love and Belle's innermost thoughts as she learns that true beauty comes from within. "

It's Beauty and the Beast in a manga style, not much else was new. If you've watched the animated movie this is pretty much the same and I would say skip it.
With the release of the live action Beauty and the Beast came the manga retelling! In “Belle’s Tale” we follow her as the classic stories go in the movies. That saying, there isn’t anything new added to the story. The manga style was a cute and fun way to enjoy a Disney classic!
In “The Beast’s Tale” we learn how the selfish prince became the Beast. His time is running out and Belle is his only option to break the curse. Just like “Belle’s Tale” there isn’t anything new added to this classic story, but it still follows the live action movie!
These stories were fine, but not something I’d typically pick up.
“Happily ever after is a story itself. It’s a choice, every day to be the best person you can be. To turn your anger into passion… To bring change. To find beauty in love and understanding… And to find ‘home’ wherever you go.” ❤️
Hello, it’s your local Beauty and The Beast obsessed girlie. I LOVED this so much. I think this is one of my favorite portrayals of Belle ever. She is the perfect blend of all the Belles I have seen/read. I also loved how the Beast was portrayed. So lovely. The illustrations were so cute. This was such a treat! 🥀
I'm not a huge manga fan, but this collection was fun. It was EXACTLY like the live-action movie except without the music, so if you are familiar with the movie then the books feels predictable. Belle's side of the book was more detailed and intricate- almost delicate, while Beast's side was louder with more noise bubbles. Both sides were interesting as they showed the inner thoughts of the characters that we didn't get in the movie.
Read through this fairly quick; I love everything Beauty & The Beast. I thought some frames were a bit blurry but it was a good adaptation and the art was pretty! I also thought the separate perspectives were really amazing!
For anyone who loves a visual dual POV of a childhood favorite, this manga is for you! As a diehard Disney fan, I’m so glad I finally got to read this as a way to get out of my reading slump! A reimagined of a reimagined version of a beloved story! 💛💙
(Side notes: what I mean by “reimagined of a reimagined” is that the manga is based of the 2017 live action film. I know there’s been criticisms about said film, but I enjoyed it. Another thing to note is that it’s a two person perspective, says so in the Table of Contents, divided into two books, so some parts may be repetitive, but it adds to the characters’ story. Although I love the art style, there were some bits and pieces that somewhat visually confused me, were partly cut off, and had a style change from Belle’s POV to Beast’s (Prince Adam’s) POV, but the artist’s work is nothing but amazing!)
(Belle is one of my personalities, so it might be by bias talking, but who cares?! Read it!!)

I am a huge fan of Beauty and the Beast, but this was not at all good. The flow was super choppy and I found Belle’s dialect actually made me start to hate the characters I love ( because of how she would talk about situations and other characters). I also didn’t like how they made two versions of the EXACT SAME STORY. One was in Belle’s perspective and the other was in Beast’s, however there were very minor changes so it felt like I just spent an hour reading the same book twice. Overall this is a nice item to collect, but not a good read. There are better book adaptations of this beautiful movie than this manga.
Disney Manga: Beauty and the Beast - Special 2-in-1 Collectors Edition: Special 2-in-1 Edition (Paperback) by Mallory Reaves beautiful art revealing the new version of the live action Beauty and the Beast. This version is connected to the beast version showing mainly Bells version of the story. Its an easy read and helpful to gaining interest in reading for low comprehension readers. This book would be a great class discussion one to compare and contrast Bell's version to Beast's. Yet it could be a great contrast for different versions of the original fairy tale.
Peccato
This graphic novel/ manga was really cute. I’m reading Beast’s side next. I finished it in about 30 minutes which is normal for me when reading light mangas. I loved the art and the way the cover connects with Beast’s side. Also this book is based off the remake of the original Beauty and The Beast from Disney. Would recommend if you like Disney and Manga!
This is based on the live action remake. The art was fantastic, but the story leaves a lot to be desired. If you haven't watched the film yet, you would probably be really confused by all the plot jumping. I like the idea of a 2-in-1 that explores both points of view, so I hope to see more of that in the future.
It wasn't a bad "read" (think comic strip)--- but it wasn't excellent, either. Most of the pictures had a blurry quality to them. A few images (maybe 3-4 out of the entire book) I wasn't sure what it was depicting. I love the few added scenes to give the story a little depth and loved loved LOVED that this depicted Belle at one point praying for the Beast *that's how it appeared, at least :)
A very stunning version of my favorite fairy tale! I especially loved the Beast's tale. Beautiful art and very detailed! Definitely a great addition to any fan collection.
It is basically the live action made into a manga with two different POV's that are Belle's and the Beast. It was a fun read loved seeing the chibi sketches of the characters more than the story since It was basically the exact same thing as the live action except it is manga. I liked the art and love the cartoon movie so much.
Belle's Tale - 1 🌟 - I laughed so hard on how cheesy everything was. It was like a parody of the 2017 film. Beast's Tale - 3 🌟 - I actually found this heartwarming. It was sweet to see Beast's inner monologue change as he changes.
