I'm not the kind of guy you leave alone in your house. I'm especially not the kind you leave alone with your innocent daughter. My newest client doesn't seem to care. He just wants his office remodeled. His college-aged daughter isn't my usual type, but under those prim clothes and too big glasses, the sweet little bookworm hides a tight little body that's tempting AF. I make her nervous. I should.I'm going to make her mine. She doesn't know about men yet... She's about to learn.
Megan
Dad's carpenter makes me feel things I don't understand. I don't have any experience with older guys like him, or any guys really. They look at me and see a quiet nerd. But this bad boy
Brill Harper is a pseudonym. Like…a secret identity. By day she’s Clark Kent, writing romance books for young adults and grownups. By night, she’s Brill Harper writing unfailingly filthy, yet super sweet books, that would make her alter ego blush.
She especially likes to writes book about quirky, awkward heroines and alpha bad boys. Well, except that they are really alphamallows once they fall in love. Seriously--these heroes only have one weakness, and it's sticky, sweet love. They don't let anything stand in the way of taking what belongs to them. Ooey-gooey marshmallow hearts in big, burly dominating dudes. What's not to love about that?
Brill's books are filthy/sweet for when you're in the mood for something a little over the top. Okay, a lot over the top. Sorry, not sorry.
Brill Harper is represented by Deidre Knight of The Knight Agency.
Nailed was about a nerdalicious virgin and a tradie hero smitten by her blushes and dimples. An insta cliché romance you want to read because it's cheesy as expected without being cavity inducing. I just like them. 💙
I am better with books than people. But the books are right when it comes to sexual selection. I want to have this man's babies just by looking at him.
This book was hot, dirty and fun to read. I thought I'd get annoyed with the h but I didn't. Brill Harper did a good job.
The story is about Brody and Megan.
She's an introvert. She's nerdy and awkward but a cute one. Her father hired Brody to put a built-in desk in his office.
She already wanted to have his babies the first time she laid eyes on him.
He's so sweet to her. He knows what he wants and she's the one for him. He's very patient with her and really cared about her since the start. They're good for each other.
You can read the epilogue when you subscribe to the author's newsletter and I was excited to read it but when I did, I got a little disappointed. I want more.
WOW- I want more. Yet another hit for me. Hot, dirty, sweet and safe. ..
Opposites in every way. Brody was an alpha, sexy carpenter. Megan was an awkward (OTT awkward, but she grew on me) socially stunted "nerd".
I will say that even with the extended epilogue (that you have to join a newsletter to get) I was disappointed in the epilogue. Nowhere near enough of an ending.
I'm not sure of the other pen name for this author but these little shorties she's writing are hot, sweet and have a possessive alpha that I love. They're great for in between reads.
4 stars. Super cute instalove novella featuring a blue collar MMC who is an alphamallow (I love that term!), an ultra nerdy virgin FMC, and small age gap (5 years). I really enjoyed this, a perfect palate cleanser.
I liked NAILED a lot more than the previous book in the series, mostly because Brody and Megan spend a lot more time together. Yes it's insta-lust and insta-love but I enjoyed Brody's over the top alpha personality. He's completely devoted to Megan from the moment they meet and I liked how he was determined to boost Megan's confidence. I also really liked Megan in all her nerdy and awkward glory, especially her dream to get on JEOPARDY. Once Brody and Megan get together, they can barely stay apart and they are on fire.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of the book.
Nailed was so much better than I was expecting - and it was all because of the male lead, Brody. I don't know how Brill Harper managed to make him so Alpha, so sweet, so sexy but she did and I loved it. Megan (the female lead) was cute too, but I'm all about Brody. When he staked his claim, he was all in and that is the hottest thing ever. So 4.5 out of 5 wine glasses for sure!
This is the 2nd book in the series and I have to say I quite liked it. Brody is a carpenter tasked in building an office desk but when he gets to the home, he meets Megan. Sweet, virgin, shy, introverted, never been on a date, full of facts in her head, nerdy, Megan. Brody was beyond sweet and all that sweet dressing with a cardigan, long skirt and glasses was only turning him on more, Lol..HEA for these two. Totally enjoyed it. 4 solid stars****
Megan is smart / genius and has no social skills. Brought up by her dad she had no woman to guide her. Brody was there to make a desk for Megan’s father. Talk about heat, sparks started to fly off the pages. Great quick read with wonderful characters.
Incredibly sweet and endearing. Ach, Brody and his nutmeg are just too much. This little novella packs a heart sized punch with how much I was able to connect with the characters and enjoy their sweetness.
I've been liking this series of novellas, and this one was fun too. I wish it was a little longer, so we could have seen more of them, but it was a complete story and still worked as is. I listened to the audiobook, and it was nice having the dual narration.
I received an advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.
“He booped my nose. Men don’t do that to women they want to have sex with.”
Nailed by Brill Harper is a sweet little piece of romance fluff. I’m calling it fluff because it wasn’t very long and didn’t contain much in the way of conflict or plot development. If you’re looking for something light, yet explicit, that you can get through in a couple of hours, this would be a good book for you.
This first book in a series (each with its own happily-ever-after) follows Megan, a nineteen-year-old virginal nerd, and Brody, a mid-twenties carpenter who’s been hired to work on a project for Megan’s dad. Megan is just learning her own body and falls hard for the hot guy working down the hall. Luckily for Megan, Brody feels the same way about her.
Nailed was a quick read for me. I finished it in only a few hours. As short as it is, though, we do get Megan and Brody’s entire relationship from first meeting to more serious commitments. Maybe that shortness is why, to me anyway, there didn’t seem to be too much in the way of character growth. Yes, Megan went from being innocent and naive to having experience, but that was the most dynamic character change. Brody is protective and infatuated with Megan since the first time he sees her, so while his character is sweet and dominant, he stays that way throughout the story. I did enjoy both characters; Brody is dominant and protective but not in an overbearing way. He keeps in mind that Megan is naive. Megan is incredibly smart, curious, and shy, but not afraid to do a bit of research before her first encounter with Brody. She wants to learn, from her college classes to the bedroom.
I think my one knit-pick with this book is how ideal everything is. Brody just instantly knows that Megan is perfect for him. Their relationship falls into place too easily. When Brody is introduced to Megan’s dad, there is understandably conflict. However, the tension is gone after just a few paragraphs and everyone moves on. We, as readers, love the happily-every-afters. For me, though, the one negative of Nailed is how easy everything seems to be for Brody and Megan. Happily ever after means more when the characters have had to work for it. If you just want the sweet romance and the steamy bedroom scenes, I would definitely recommend this book for you. If you’re looking for a little more substance or plot, this story might not be as satisfying as longer romances. But for what it is - a quick, steamy romance fluff - Nailed is well done and well written.
I received an Advance Reader Copy for Nailed written by Brill Harper and voluntarily reviewed this book. Nineteen-year-old Megan Jennings is entranced by Brody Maines, the big, strapping carpenter hired by her father to custom build a built-in desk for his office. So much so, that he catches her in a very compromising act, and things heat up between them quickly. Because after all, she may never get another chance to experience a real man.
Brody is done with his self-imposed celibacy as soon as he lays his eyes on this sweet little nerdy girl, who manages to surprise him and arouse him like no other. Things heat up quickly and his dirty talk is just what she wants.
This was a quick & hot enjoyable read, my first from this author, and I look forward to her next story in the series, Drilled.
Better Hot Carpenter / Virgin Jeopardy Nerd love than the mm version
Another in the opposites attract - the stud, hard working Alpha guy and the nerdy girl, this time pairing a mid-20’s built carpenter come to build bookshelves in the home of a 19 year old braniac, utterly inexperienced nerd college girl who has applied to be on the Jeopardy tv quiz show. The chemistry works well, juxtaposing the situational danger of letting a big, strange (albeit hired by her father), intimidating man into her home, the clear attraction to someone so “out of her league” in multiple ways, and his strong, positive, and supportive/respectful/aggressive all at the same time interest in someone who is usually so not his type.
A great wish fulfillment escapist story for the Alpha stud sweeping a “plain” brainy nerd off of her feet (in respectfully aggressive sweetness mixed with lightly dirty heat) pairing.
The story with (the original) male and female protagonists burns a little hotter and brighter in this original version of the story which has also been re-released in a male/male version. The original works better with the carpenter being a bit more rough and tumble dominant, sexual Alpha, and the female braniac Jeopardy nerd’s vulnerability both physically and erotically ringing much more organically. The extra edge for Brody worked well, and some of the nerd’s foibles made much more senses in a female 19 year old (never orgasmed virgin, much more dangerous for a young woman to let a strange man into the home) as opposed to the male version. The extra domination cranked up a notch and, combined with the chemistry and trust, worked well in the sizzling scenes, too.
Brill Harper “Nailed” me to my Kindle with her captivating wit, appealing characters and engaging story line. “Nailed” features a hot, dirty talking carpenter that knows what to do with his hands (ahem… and various other body parts…) and one of the most engaging female leads I’ve encountered in quite some time. Megan’s clueless innocence and continual scientific analysis of her awakening sexuality are both hilarious well as endearing. Fast paced the story line flows effortlessly, perfectly balanced with plenty of heat, humor and romance. Professionally written, Brill Harper manages to skillfully create a completely satisfying tale in novella format. If you like your men… sorry, I mean stories… quick and dirty, I highly recommend reading… “What is Nailed?”.

This is my first book by Brill Harper and wow...I loved her writing style! It's sweet, sassy and oh so sexy! Brody is one sexy alpha male and when he meets nerdy, innocent Megan..his world gets thrown upside down as he wants to show her the real, sexy woman she is!
Great storyline and plot...I thought it was sweet, charming with a whole lot of sexy. Great descriptive scenes had me fully enraptured in their story. Fully developed and engaging characters made this one fun read! Brody, while a bit domineering, confident and sexy, he still had an air of insecurity about him which made him likeable. He's my new favorite book boyfriend! Megan is a bit naive and shy but there were so many layers to her character that it was an interesting read to see her find herself, with the help of Brody. I would have liked more in-depth backgrounds into the characters ...as to why they are the way they are, but all in all, this was one enjoyable, fun and flirty read. I look forward to the next book in the series!
This is a definite must read for those who like hot, steamy and engaging stories with witty, sassy and charming characters!
I voluntarily received an ARC for my honest review.
I have to admit that these characters are over the top in their growly possessiveness and I'm ALL OVER THAT. Seriously, I like how cracktastic the entire scenario is and how a virginal, sweet heroine can immediately capture the attention and protectiveness of a fantastically alpha dude.
I won't apologize for it, either. I just LIKE these guys and their special brand of crazy. Especially since once they commit they go all in. Sometimes literally. (Oh, gawd. I'm laughing now.)
Anywho. Brody and Megan. He's the sexy, protective carpenter. She's the socially awkward, nerdy college girl who's never been all that interested in dudes. Until, you know, she meets Brody and her engine starts revving. I know I should probably go for a woodworking metaphor there, but...he's really turns her on and that revving engine thing is SUPER accurate.
In the end, the story was over the top, sexy, and sweet. All the things I like.

Heather's Notes So these story are very tropey. The author tells you this, so I am good with it. I can take a lot if I know it is coming (or I can decide not to read it). I liked Brody and Megan. I even liked the instant love. The books do not seem to be connected so I may jump around a bit, but definitely going to read more of these.
This is the story of Brody and Megan. This is an opposites attract novel. Brody is a carpenter who is hired to build a desk for a wealthy client. When he shows up at the client's house he is blown away by his attraction to his daughter. Megan thinks she is the type of woman men are not attracted to. She is on the nerdy side, she is shy, smart and innocent. When she meets Brody, the man hired to build her father's desk she has no idea how her life is about to change. Megan is definitely not Brody's type but there is something about her that calls to him on a deeper level, primitive level. He is determined to make her his forever. Even though this was a quick read it was well written and well developed. I loved both characters, their chemistry is off the charts explosive and the sex scenes were hot! I thoroughly enjoyed this story and look forward to her next book. I voluntarily read an arc copy for my honest review!
I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book, Nailed by Brill Harper.
Excellent book! Thoroughly enjoyed every word of it. Very talented author and I'm so happy I was offered this book as an ARC. I really look forward to reading more of her Blue Collar Bad Boy series.
Megan is a very lonely young college student that desperately wants someone to show her love and acceptance and she really wants to get on Jeopardy, the game show. Brody is the carpenter that Megan's dad hired to build him a desk. Megan's dad is out of town the whole week Brody is building the desk so it is just the 2 of them at her house, all alone. The sexual tension has been real and on "red alert" since they first met and it's getting stronger everyday. Then Brody catches Megan masturbating and everything changes.
Awesome book! I laughed and drooled to the point of no return. Megan is a nerd, through and through. She knows it and so does everyone else. So why is this hot guy, Brody, being nice to her? All he is supposed to be doing is working as a carpenter in my dad's home office and building a desk. However, every time I'm near him, I can't stop staring and wanting. Strangely enough, he doesn't seem to mind my nerd-dom or my obsession with getting on to Jeopardy! as a contestant. I'm not his type. I'm not anyone's type. But he makes me feel special. Then there is the day he leaves and I forget to lock the door like he told me to. I don't realize it, but he has come back in the house for his wallet and he finds me in quite a compromising situation. But, that doesn't even faze him. He offers to do the same for me. OMG.
I received this book as an ARC to voluntarily review. This was a quick, fun and HOT read. It was sort of "The big bang theory" meets a blue collar hottie. But that's what made it work. Megan is smart, like off the charts smart, but has no social skills. At 19 she has no friends, and having been raised by her dad she has had no guidance as to how she's feeling coming of age if you will. Brody was hired to construct a desk for her father, and was immediately taken with the shy woman who answered the door. It wasn't long before sparks were flying, and I thought my computer may melt! This is the second book in the blue collar bad boys series, and I'm definitely checking out the rest of them. They can be read as stand alone.
This is the first book I've read by this author and I thought it was cute. Megan was a painfully shy and socially awkward self-described nerd. She is a nineteen year woman who is completely innocent. Not only is she a virgin, she's never even kissed a guy. Brody is a mid 20-something muscled alpha male. He's had his fair share of women, although not recently. He's been hired by Megan's dad to do carpentry work in the house. From the first moment they met, Brody was attracted to her (and her to him). They were hot, but was this unlikely pair able to make a real relationship work? I recommend reading this short story. It takes a couple hours so it's perfect for a quick afternoon read. *I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This is my honest review.*
I received this arc for an honest review. It is a sweet short story with some sex scenes. I wish it was longer. Megan's mother died when she was young, having been raised by her father who doesn't know. how to interact with her. She is very smart and socially inept. She's 23 and trying to learn about sex and her feelings by watching porn on the internet. Brody owns his own construction business and was hired by her father to build a built in desk in his office. He was raised by his mom and dad, who was an abusive drunk. Not wanting to turn out like his father, he has given up drinking and women for the past 2years, putting all his time and energy into his business. When he meets Megan he sees right through her nerdy clothes and knows she is exactly what he wants and needs.
