In the vein of Donald Miller, Anne Lamott, Debbie Blue, novelist Greg Belliveau's collection of creative nonfiction, Seeds , dissects the fragmented, consumer-driven, anti-relationship of our American culture and offers a refreshing look at redemption, grace, and Christian community in a world filled with teeth.

Love this book! It is filled with wonderful reminders of God's grace in the midst of a world with teeth. (How awesome is that title?!) Each chapter is an individual story filled with thoughtful emotion...making you laugh one moment and tear up the next. We've all been there....in a classroom, in a garden with a child, in a restaurant with an old acquaintance. Greg Belliveau makes each vignette sing with realism and opportunities for grace. This book is perfect for a quick read, a chapter by chapter book study, personal quiet time, or Bible study.
I had Mr. Belliveau as a professor in college. Outside of classes in my major, his classes were my favorite. I always loved to take on things. “Geeks at the blackboard” is a phrase that will always stick with me that he used to say.
I enjoyed this book; the writing is great, just like I would expect from him. His weaving of personal stories about Grace, backed up by Scripture, seems to help make it more applicable to real life situations.
Add to your must read list right now! Belliveau’s honest approach to modern existence provides thoughtful perspective in multifaceted narrative. If you have ever wondered about how grace and contentment play out in an age of perpetual want; Seeds provides hope. Just excellent!
I really enjoyed this book. A book to read over and over again. The author uses practical, real life examples to bring these truths "home" to the reader. Highly recommended!
A short story collection about the author’s views on grace, Christian faith, etc. I found the stories to have a lot of “telling” vs. “showing” and wished the author trusted the reader more to make his/her own connections/conclusions.
My favorite parts were the more vivid stories from the author’s life. Maybe I was expecting something different than what was intended. The book read more journal-like or rambling thoughts than a true short story collection.
