I would like to share a personal experience before I review the book, which is totally associated with the book. So, before I read the book, I was not that involved in God, Religion or spirituality. For me I didn’t even know that there is a difference between religion and spirituality. I thought that it is something associated with the god. After I read this book, I am standing with a totally changed perspective.
The book “Reflection: A journey to God” is a book that is written by Gary Eby and Susan by. Starting with the title, It is the perfect title for the book as the book totally reflects/ shows the truth and I feel God is nothing but the truth. The cover on the other had is a totally relevant one and perfectly suits the book.
I have read a lot of book this year but this book is one of a kind where Author Gary Eby with his personal experiences, through essays and poems has tried to show the truth of life. This book is not something you read once and forget. It is something when you read it, it would become an experience and you don’t forget experiences but when it fades you can pick the book up and read that again. The content of the book is not at all related to the religion like it’s about the spirituality. The author has explained different aspects of life which we know but haven’t experienced at all. Like what was the last time you stood quite in a garden on a terrace with your eyes closed and felt there is air floating around me, that there is a certain connection between me and the universe. Have you realised the voice/ consciousness that lives inside you what is it? Is it the mind or the body? OMG this book is so deep that I am in love with the experience this book gave me. I would definitely recommend it to all the readers out there. I assure you this book is not just a read but an experience you would want to relive.

"If you are sincerely seeking Truth, Wisdom, and the Path of Purity, if you you are seeking answers as to why you are here, and if you are seeking to know God, our Creator, this book is for you. This book provides clear guidance, and takes us on the journey within the heart, providing the map that will lead us to Him.

The book is definitely a must read, again and again, hundred times, at least, and with each reading the heart will open and blossom with greater wisdom and understanding. And more will be revealed as the words in it are alive. These are words of Light. Complete joy and satisfaction are experienced.

Reflections: A Journey of God is a Grace that comes directly from the heart of One who knows all Things." (From our second book review @ jaamzen.com)

This collection of spiritual essays, prose, and poems, by Gary and Susan Eby, is remarkable. They share their own triumphs and tribulations; they offer resources and guidance to others to find their path to God. They speak personally and professionally; Gary is a retired social worker, mental health counselor, and addiction therapist. Susan studies philosophy. They come from a Unity Church background. Gary's motto, "Choose the positive because it's all good!" I appreciate their disclaimer: "you are completely free to reject everything we have to say about spirituality ..... what really counts is what you believe that gives your life meaning, direction, and purpose."

I love this book that Gary and Reverend Susan Eby have written. This is not a religious text. Rather, they provide guidance on the spiritual journey to the Divine and the Divine in oneself.
Susan's difficult past is heartbreaking. Her poetry is poignant. Her Bible verses spot on. Yet, she struggles to heal and is triumphant.
Gary's journey is one of tremendous dedication to his profession as social worker and spiritual coach. His casual, comforting style of writing draws the reader in. It feels as if he is speaking to a dear friend.
Gary finds peace in nature, especially by the ocean which is a reoccurring theme. Love, peace, joy, gratitude and connection to the Divine are vital to us all. I offer to Susan and Gary my deepest gratitude for helping me find my way.
