Me pareció más interesante que el anterior, aunque Alexa de repente me enfada un poco y luego recuerdo que tiene como 17 años y se me pasa 🤣😂🤣
Definitivamente me cautivó más la historia y se puso más interesante, necesito conocer más acerca de este mundo y ya quiero leer los demás libros de esta autora
Milo y ese final donde revelan que onda con su pasado y lo que es fue ¡Wooow! No me lo esperaba. Lo que guarda Alexa en su interior tampoco lo esperaba, pensé que iría a parar a otro lado más tenebroso pero fue buena la trama. El Horizonte y sus decisiones nefastas ya me están cayendo muy mal, ya quiero verlos en acción y dejando de ser idiotas.

En esta segunda parte, la historia se asienta más, la protagonista sigue siendo una adolescente malcriada e impulsiva pero muchas situaciones se van definiendo.
Aparece un nuevo personaje que supongo hará el contrapeso para paliar el amor imposible que se ha presentado en la primera novela, con aquello de que un clavo saca otro clavo.
En esta ocasión Erick y compañia pasan a segundo plano y la historia se sentra en Alexa y en Milo un extraño y oscuro angel, que tiene un pasado aún mas extraño y oscuro, que intriga a nuestra Alexa y en un clásico Te odio - Te amo, va pasando del repudio total a la aceptación y luego poco a poco a algo más que aun no se define con claridad pero se deja entrever.
Richarson lo hace mejor en esta novela, la historia se vuelve más interesante pues la trama involucra ya a un Dios antiguo que es en definitiva más poderoso que los demonios presentados en la primera novela.
Ya enganchado le leín bastante rápido a pesar del poco tiempo que le pude dedicar.

This is a wonderful story and I loved reading every page of this book! This is a thrilling adventure that keeps you hooked every step of the way and trust me when I say there are many surprises. One of them surprised me so much my mouth actually fell open, I did not see it coming! I adored how this author wrote this book, not only the details descriptions and explanation but the warmth that comes through within this book shows the high talent the author has.
I have to say I loved Milo’s character, from the moment he is introduced in this book, although he seems aloof there was something so charismatic and alluring about his character you can't help but fall in love with him. There is so much more to him than meets the eye and I can't wait to find out more about him. Alexa really is a brilliant character, I love her individuality and that she isn't afraid to be who she is, I love her fiery and passionate nature.
This is a must read book for all readers and can't rate it highly enough!!!

The Helm of Darkness book 2 in the Horizon Chronicles by Kim Richardson is a 5 star read.
Alexa is scared of what comes next, after having part of her soul taken by Hades she knows she has to find a way to keep herself out of Tartarus a prison for angels and with Metatron doing everything possible to send her there. After being given probation she's assigned to a petty officer who she has to stay with at all times on earth but Milo looks at her with hatred and she isn't sure if she can trust him or not. Armed with the knowledge that she has to kill Hades to regain the missing part of her soul, Alexa sets out to gain as much information as she can for her upcoming battle.
This book for me is slightly better than the first but I have a feeling the next is going to be even better, I love how the author pulls you in and makes you feel like you're a part of the story. I'd highly recommend this book.

Me sigue gustando cómo la autora engloba la participación de los arcángeles, cada vez con mayor protagonismo, incluso un "Tenebris Angelus", también demonios como "Belphegor" e híbridos como los "Nephilim". Realmente hay una buena información sobre el tema y eso lo hace interesante.

LO NEGATIVO:
Aunque la trama sigue siendo interesante, se ha perdido la acción la mayor parte del libro, un poco lento el desarrollo pero recompensada para el final.

MUCHO MEJOR QUE LADRÓN DE ALMAS.
La narración, el desarrollo de personaje de Alexa, la introducción de Milo y todo el misterio que había alrededor de él, hicieron que disfrutara muchísimo esta lectura.
Sobre todo el desarrollo de personaje que tiene Alexa, ya no me parece tan sosa y a pesar de que en un principio hizo algo estúpido como ir a buscar a Erik, creo que fue bueno para que ella se diera cuenta de que había cosas más importantes e hizo que ella comenzara a sanar respecto a sus sentimientos por Erik. De ahí en adelante me parecía muy bueno su actuar e incluso su pensar, fue muy persistente, valiente y diría que hasta inteligente, es noble y no deja a los suyos atrás. Al menos para mí, mejoró mucho a comparación del libro pasado.
La introducción de Milo, en este libro es la primera vez que lo conocemos y le agarré tanto cariño durante esta lectura que casi al final lloré mares pensando que moriría, ojalá nunca le pase nada malo, yo lo quiero mucho, no veía venir que pudiera ser un nefilim antes de ser ángel. Si se plantea un romance entre Milo y Alexa en los siguientes libros, yo estaré muy feliz la verdad, Erik no me cae muy bien. Terminé el libro muy rápido, fue fácil de digerir.

This sequel really solidified my interest in this series. It sort of felt like a sequel to a movie where the love interest doesn't sign on to continue the series so they rush to find an alternate route to go, but at the same time it worked and I'm glad it's not a rushed romance, or even defined at this point. It does more for the story to build up Alexa's story without a strong romance I think. So it really did come together nicely. I enjoyed the twists in this one and some of them really caught me off guard, and I don't want to spoil them. I certainly would recommend this series to anyone interested in supernatural type fantasy. Still a little put off about the way this series seems to demonize other religious deities and beliefs but it is all fiction afterall.

This chick better forgets Erik, I'm shipping them SO hard..
But focusing on the book. Much better than the first one, I still get a bit annoyed by Alexa, but then I remember even though she is an angel, she's still a teen.
So many things happening to her at the same time it's kinda overwhelming, and the fact that everyone around her is blaming here for freaking everything.... This part of the story is much more articulated and exciting than the first novel.
I'm very engaged on knowing what happens next.

Tout aussi bien que le 1er tome, et encore une fois je l'ai dévoré !
De prime abord, j'étais assez perturbée pas le changement dans la relation entre Erik et Alexa, mais tout compte fait, c'est dérisoire. Elle a permis de créer l'élément perturbateur, mais n'a plus grand intérêt maintenant ... Elle aurait freiné Alexa dans sa mission.
Milo semble bien plus intéressant, torturé et pleins de secrets.
On ne regrettera bien sur pas Ryan !!
La jeune fille banale, morte bêtement devient l'être le plus intéressant de l'univers ...

Alexa is such a silly character. Through the first book I was willing to believe that some of her antics were just due to her being a teenager, but the more I read the more annoyed I get with the decisions she makes, or rather the way in which her thoughts are portrayed while she makes said decisions. I stay for the mindlessness because I needed a few books to wind down for the day, but not sure I’ll enjoy reading the next one. Still going to give it a shot, the story seems like it could be interesting? Maybe?

The story continues with Alexa surviving the resurrection of the pagan god Hades. I was a big fan of the Guardian Series and I really love this like side series with Alexa and her petty officer Milo. Milo who is a giant mystery. In this second installment we discover Hades plans what happened to the traitor Ryan. Will Alexa become a similar heroine as Kara?? I cannot wait to read the third installment! I need to know what happens next

Once again there are no disappointments!
First, this cover is so good. I love an eye catching, detail oriented book cover.
This is such a short, easy read book. It's only about a 3 hr read according to my kindle. Perfect for a day of laying by the pool. Relaxing on the beach or sitting and watching the rain. Which is what I've had a lot of this week! I just could not put this down.
I received this as an ARC.

Not as good as the first
After the ending from the first book I expected a lot more. In this one Alexa seems more childish and easier to manipulate. Everything from the first book came undone and if anything it felt like a second introduction. Mixed feelings about Milo, indifferent about Erik and still love Lance. It didn't feel as smooth as the first book, if anything it felt shorter. The build up to the climax wasn't there but the final revelations have me wanting more.

So unbelievable
The whole premise of making so called angels who have not the slightest bit of morality is irritating. And your stupid character is so unbelievably immature whinny, temper tantrum, no logic involved here. And stupidly goes with her dumb crush against the risk of life of forever agony and that is suppose to make sense. No. It's makes no sense at all. It is painful to try and read this book

Una muy buena secuela de esta saga que al momento pinta muy bien. 2/4. Al igual que su antecesora tiene mucha acción y buen desarrollo de la historia. La narrativa es fácil y rápida de seguir. No hay relleno que eso le da más valor. Tiene varias sorpresas que no esperas y agradezco eso de su autora. Ampliamente recomiendo lean su antecesora y seguramente se engancharán como yo. Le doy 4/5 estrellas o un 9/10

El tema es bastante bueno, pero el desarrollo es lento y la descripción excesiva e irrelevante en muchos casos. el primer libro es bastante mejor. muy romántico para mi gusto. es mas bien de corte para adolescentes.

The Helm of Darkness by Kim Richardson is a wild adventure! This is a fun ride for any young adult who enjoys a good fantasy and lots of surprises and fight for survival. I gotta say I loved Milo's character from the moment he was introduced. He comes across aloof but there's something charming and alluring about him- ya, can't help to love him! Next, we have Alexa who is brilliant and I love her fierce bravery to be herself. This is an exciting adventure so don't miss out!

This is a great addition to the series and it keeps you wanting more. It definitely has an interesting storyline and characters that are really well developed and hook you into the storyline. I like that there are always surprises. I want to consume the book fast so I can learn what is going to happen and then am eager for the next book.

couldn't stop reading again
just like the first book in the series I also couldn't stop reading this one either. I have fallen in love with Alexa. the addition of Milo was a lot of fun. He added an interesting dynamic to the story and I loved his interactions with Alexa. I am excited to read the next story in the series. I bet I wont be able to stop reading that one either.

Magnificent!
Gripping and action packed. I'm really enjoying this series. This is one of the best series I've read in awhile. I'm so glad books 1-3 are all available now. As soon as I post this review, I'm buy book 3.

no puedo dejar de pensar en cazadores de sombras sobre todo con la parte en la que dicen que Milo es nefilim, me hubiera gustado mas ver mas participacion de los sensibles en este libro porque solo salen al inicio

Es super adictivo y me gusto, pero creo que hace las veces de libro puente (y espero no equivocarme) para conectar el primer libro con el tercero, que creo que es donde el problema se empieza a volver más “real”

este libro me gusta mas que el anterior porque alexa se enfoca más en ella y no en erik, aunque le empieza a gustar milo no está todo el tiempo pensando en el cómo con erik y eso me gusta, la historia me encanta y el plot twist de que milo es el hijo de lucifer está muy bueno.
