This collection of novellas was a true delight. Here's what I thought about the individual stories:
Bare Feet and Warm Sand by Kim Vogel Sawyer
Who doesn't love green sea turtles? This humanitarian story was short but sweet. Kim Sawyer's trademark messages of hope came through beautifully in this novella. She really made the beach scenes feel realistic -- so much so that I thought I felt the sun on my back and the sand between my toes!
Sufficient Grace by Constance Shilling Stevens
Sufficient Grace is a delightful battle between bullying and doing what's right. I enjoyed the humanitarian angle of trying to save a Cherokee burial ground. This novella was beautiful, and I hope to read more by Constance Shilling Stevens, a new author to me.
One thing my copyediting eye noticed was that six out of ten chapters began with "Nora." This was awkward to me and something I hope the author will improve for her next story.
Better Together Than Apart by Rose Allen McCauley
Compromise is crucial to any relationship, and I love that it was featured in this mission-field story. The trend of humanitarian work continued in this novella.
At times, this story felt like an advertisement for a particular cruise line and music artists. This was a bit off-putting to me, even though I'm a fan of a couple of the artists.
There was one particular inconsistency that bugged me: A character said he was finding his guitar to lead the sing-along, but when that sing-along was taking place, that same man was doing construction work.
This story grew on me over the course of the chapters, and by the end, I found it to be a sweet romance that featured a heart for missions. It was a unique tale, one that I'm glad I read.

This is the first Civil War story I've enjoyed. I disliked that it had a smidge of sexual innuendo and a coarse joke or two, but the rest of the book was very moving. The ending felt a bit abrupt, and there was no punishment for the bad guy. But oh, did I weep! What an emotional journey!
Cotton Candy Skies by K. Marie Libel
Lovely end to this collection of novellas. I really enjoyed the author's bubbly writing voice and the grand adventures the characters experienced. There was a sweetness to this story that was exquisite.
While I noticed a few typos and inconsistencies throughout the collection, these did not stop me from finding delight, tears, joy, and hope in this book. If you're looking for a fun summer read -- for any time of the year -- choose Destination: Romance.

While all the stories were a good read, I really enjoyed "A Shelter in a Weary Land." I connected with the characters and situation, and even now "miss them." Julane did not disappoint, and I may dare say this is my favorite story of hers.

This novella collection has both Contemporary and Historical Fiction. I enjoyed each story and its own take on romance. Kim Vogel Sawyer isone of the authors of Destination: Romance. I have read and really like other books of hers. She creates characters that pull me into the story, as was the case in her novella Bare Feet and Warm Sand in this set. The other four authors, Constance Shilling Stevens, Rose Allen McCauley, Julane Hiebert, and Kristian Libel are new to me. I am happy to have been introduced to their writings.
Sweet romances develop quickly in each story. I appreciate they are written with characters that express their faith. All of them have women that trust God through difficult circumstances in their lives. The historical novellas are my favorites. This collection is all about romance and are quick, inspirational reads that I recommend. I was provided a complimentary review copy of this book. I was not required to write a positive review. This is a unique set of historical and contemporary romances. I enjoyed the well researched romance Bare Feet and Warm Sand by Kim Vogel Sawyer. Set in the Grand Cayman island a thought provoking read about sea turtles and their natural habitats. Better Together Than apart by Rose Allen McCauley included the challenges of running a Jamaican orphanage and international adoption laws. While Cotton Candy Sky by Kristian Libel included the theme of letting go. A Kansas girl vacations in Jamaica and falls in love with the ocean and a world traveling photographer. I preferred reading the contemporary romances in this set at this time.

I enjoyed most of the stories a lot. One story was too filled with bible messages to get much out of the tale.

I really liked the stories that were in this collection!! It was a short read and didn't take long to finish.

This was a great romance collection. There were 3 new authors for me and so that made it interesting. The five stories in this collection were a unique collection, some historical and contemporary. So something for all readers, I felt.
Each story was very different and I enjoyed each storyline as it developed. This was a Christian read, and that's my style of reading.
I really enjoyed each of the stories and recommend the book. It was very well written.
