This beautiful book of poems by J.M. Storm, "In My Head" is by far one of my favorites. Every one of the poems spoke to me in some way, some with tears, but most with heartfelt smiles that there was perhaps a man out there that actually "gets women." I highly recommend, if you are a poetry lover, that you add this to your collection.

I stumbled upon Jm Storm and his words have left a permanent impression on my heart and in my mind. Without a doubt one of my favorite writers, perhaps my most favorite. The entire collection is outstanding, several in fact are exceptional and merit a dog-ear. Alright, half the pages are dog-eared. Get the book and feel what it’s like to be seen.

JM Storm is one of my favorite modern poetry writers. He creates stunning prose, weaving together words and phrases that fit beautifully together. As someone who writes my own poetry, I often find myself spending 30 minutes on one line. And then walk away and come back to it later. Most of Storm's poems are short and concise yet convey such depth and feeling that I would be interested to know how long they took him to write. If you're a poetry fan, I highly recommend this one!

I consider that this book has made its way to the place that I shall never stop picking it up and reading it. It’s one of those books that encourages me in every way. It’s so bizarre that this book speaks to my life. How each passage feels so tangible. I do not understand the power it holds over me, yet I’m eternally grateful for these words in black and white. I only hope for a love like that. That transcends time. I look forward to Volume 2. ❤️

In some ways, this is Instagram poetry, perfect in length to add to your inspirational Pinterest board or scroll past in your feed. But that description would diminish and limit it. Instead, maybe this form was birthed by social media and JM has mastered it. The moments he distills are moving, brutal, insightful and even wise rather than trite. I loved it.

This book was fantastic. It is vert comforting for the emotionally abused as it helps you realize there is hope, you are not alone, and you deserved to be loved. It also helps those who have a loved one who was abused to better understand their loved one.

One of the most relevant poets I've read and by far my favorite. My brother gave me this book as a birthday gift and I look forward to reading Volume 2.

J.M. Storm is one of those poets I found on instagram. I don't remember if he was one of my suggested posters or if someone recced him to me but I started following him years ago and when he published his first poetry book, I bought it. He's a mechanic-turner-to-poet who writes short, freeform poems and the ones he shares on his insta are often typed on a typewriter on thick paper, sometimes on actual wallpaper. Some of them are cheesy, some of them are a bit clumsy, but they're very touching. I like his work a lot.

JM Storms is my favourite writer on earth. He truly inspires me to write more. I was so so excited for this book. Still this book gives me the same feel when I read it first in 2017. Can read this book any number of times. Magical is an understatement!❤️
It's so freakin good. I realized a poetry book can make you cry too. So emotionally taken back. Mind blown. In love with every page of this book.
P.S How can a man know this much abt a woman!! ❤👏

Absolutely some of the most powerful, moving, and meaningful, modern poetry in existence. His words take my breath away, and doing so with so few words is the mark of a skillful wordsmith and impassioned human. Thank you, JM, for continually moving me and my heart.

Not bad for instagram-quote poetry. Some pages are so generic as to render them meaningless, some are pin-pointed towards my own experiences. That's the beauty of poetry - it can cast a wide net and catch the smallest fish.

I loved this book!
There are so many poems in this book that are beautiful in their simplicity. They’re like love notes that anyone would love to receive, or to have the ability to write for your loved one.

Poetry like this you read with your eyes and feel with your heart. To be able to read a book and feel like it was written just for you...this is that book.

One question..... Why am I not married to this man? His poetry speaks directly into your heart. It's profound as it is deep. He is a romance genius.
