Eagle Ridge was supposed to be a safe haven for the hybrids, but now it’s turning into a Glycon-infested hell. The presence of the horrible mutants is bad enough, but then a human witnesses an attack. Now the hybrids are at risk of being exposed to the outside world and the ruthless Horatius Group. Allison’s proud to be mayor of Eagle Ridge and takes her job seriously. She’s very concerned about protecting the citizens of her town, especially with all the violent attacks that have been occurring. Though she’s convinced a wild animal is involved, she also can’t deny having seen a strange monster. Hybrid Quintus is still finding his place among the hybrids, but is comfortable serving as a spy. When he’s sent to find out how much Allison might have seen, he’s surprised to find that she may be his fated mate. Despite the raging attraction between the two, the shocking truth behind why so many Glycons are in the area may cost them their lives before they can even worry about a future relationship.

Madison currently lives with her husband and two children in the Valley of the Sun. Phoenix, Arizona. After leaving the frozen tundra of the north, Madison was more surprised than anyone with how much she has enjoyed living in the desert. Seeing as she had stated on more than one occasion how much she hated the heat, it was an odd move. But it seemed her hatred for sub-zero temps and ice, or really the things that ice could do, won out in the end.
When she’s not writing, she’s enjoying time with her family. Madison and her family frequent festivals in the area, as well as local cultural events, and spend time with family in the area. In the summer she is most likely to be found in the pool with the family and in the winter by the fireplace. Since both her children are autistic, days can be a little chaotic but with her husband beside her, there’s nothing she can’t handle. Luckily he is also an author and able to share in all the activities (and chores) special needs kids require.
Madison has a full schedule of releases planned for 2014 listed and updated on her blog:

“Maybe you could elaborate on how fate happened to you,”

Quintus is charged with figuring out just how much the mayor saw at the end of the previous story... Mayor Alison isn't talking about the monster with red glowing eyes that she saw chasing a large man with blue glowing eyes carrying a woman, because how can you even say that and sound sane much less mayoral?

I miss Jenna, Lara, Nyx, and the various women we've established in this community over the previous six books, Taylor was mentioned, but even when she was a natural to have a chat with, it didn't happen.

I'm enjoying this series, just feeling like the determination to keep these as quick read novellas means the sense of a full/rich community isn't shining through.

That being said, this story moved the overarching arc forward in a big way, and tied back to when Remus, aka Rem, first got this group of hybrids free of the Horatius Group and the Council.

Wow!

The author's two series surrounding the hybrids of Luna Lodge and the Hunters of Atlas have become highly addictive. I just finished Quintus and I'm already craving the next book!
