A struggling author from the city. Nia has been dealing with a touch of writer's block and can't seem to find her muse to meet her deadlines. She has also been a bit unlucky in the love department, leaving her with no inspiration to get her creative juices flowing.
A sexy cowboy who seems a little rough around the edges. Jacob is complacent in an on-again, off again relationship that doesn't seem to be progressing to the next step. He is content helping with the day to day operations of his family-owned ranch.
When the City Girl and the Country Boy meet, it is far from love at first sight. Can a change of scenery and a fresh perspective help these two people find the inspiration and muse they are searching for?
Solid story; but definitely in need of an editor. I completed the book; but I had to force myself because sometimes the conversations sounded so juvenile and contrived that I really couldn't connect to the main characters. Lots of overkill in descriptive details. Sometimes less really is more!! "Jewel box and joystick" just made me sad.😭 There was a lack of cohesiveness to me because the Nia at the beginning and end of the book seemed different from the Nia in the middle of the story. Noah was unnecessary drama; because there wasn't enough depth to that plot device to show exactly how she managed to move on despite what he did to her --especially since she never told anyone about what he did to her. Had a lot of potential; but the execution diminished what could have been a nice book.
Whenever the main characters express how much they love each other and you end up all in your feelings you know your going to enjoy their journey great read and romance!!
