With Nino and the band In No Hurry making their TV debut, her raw performance leaves people stunned and buzzing. While In No Hurry is making up plans for how best to promote their brand, Momo, in a fit of jealousy, launches his own band which is basically a copycat and with the same album debut date. Look, I can maybe get his guilt over 'selling out' (in his terms), but pushing Nino away and then trying to upstage her band doesn't seem like a great way to honor a childhood friendship. And sure, I wanted the rivalry but NOT LIKE THIS! And poor (or should I say, more likely, how much of an airhead) Nino still wanted to sing for his sake - I hope her character arc is her realizing that she only needs to sing for herself; in fact, I already felt hints of this in her conversation with Miou, who is lamenting over the futility of chasing something.

The romance takes dramatic turns in this installment - while Yuzu is still fretting over letting his feelings be known, Nino is oblivious to it; her eyes are only for Momo. And when she finds him finally (you'd think by now they would have crossed paths considering how often Yuzu and Momo do!) he once again pushes her away. On the flipside, Momo and Yuzu become better friends but then obviously with all the drama about realizing who Momo is kinda burned that one to the ground. Now, both Momo and Yuzu are going to fight over her and man, I want this is to be about the music rivalry but the drama and the angst keep it going, to be honest. Still, I hope the messiness of their relationships doesn't get old.

The story really keeps getting better and better! The cliffhanger on this volume though. Y'ALL.... However, as much as I like the story, I have to say the characters are a big problem for me here.

First off Alice, you know I like her, I wanna root for her, but I think it's about time she starts to get over Momo. This is about as common in shoujo tropes as it gets. NOT a girl choosing someone who treats her badly over someone who treats her kindly and with respect.

Next, Momo. I understand how he feels guilty about "selling his music for cash" but I don't understand why he treats her like crap. Like??

As for Yuzu, I root for him because I believe he treats Alice better than Momo ever could and I believe he deserves happiness.... And with the cliffhanger on this volume, I genuinely hope Alice starts to get over Momo and go with Yuzu instead.

And that's the end of my review. I cannot wait for the next volume. I wish to see some character development into all of them.

I'm finding this story compelling so far, but I keep going back and forth on whether I actually like the main character. I think I do? She's just painfully oblivious at times.

I don't care for Momo, though. If she chooses him instead of poor Yuzu... 😒

Goodness, it’s been sometime since I read this (forgot to write a review LOL) but what an excellent volume!

Right from the start we are sucked into Nino’s anguish and absolutely love how these guys, her friends, help hold her up. I commend her courage in not quitting her new "career" and just as a whole. She may not always be the best listener (LOL), but she really cares for other people and do think that’s shown. (Well, at least sometimes. LOL!)

And Yuzu! I love his character and my heart breaks for his own anguish. (His backstory!! *cries*) Though that was sort of a mean plot twist with a certain character and didn’t think I could feel any worse on Yuzu’s behalf, but I definitely do after this volume. *nervous laughter*

As with how I felt in the first volume, I am NOT fond of Momo. I felt iffy second volume, but…he brings so many mixed feelings and wouldn’t say positive ones. I can’t help but respect Nino for hoping her voice will reach him and never giving up, but I also want to be like *points at Yuzu* there is an AMAZING guy right here.

I really really enjoy the music in this. It’s fun just seeing these characters love what they do as a singer, performer, and so forth. You can always see each of them put their heart into it and pumped for In No Hurry to Shout and there future. They will totally blow everyone off stage (especially that one certain group)!

And that ending! :o :o :o I don’t even know what to say but I did NOT see that coming!!

There's something about this series that feels childish. I can't explain it. it also feels like everything with these characters is very surface level. Their emotions don't feel "real" enough to. Momo's rejection should've hurt more. Nino's screaming should feel more impactful, but it just doesn't. These characters have a lot going for them, but they're just not expanded upon enough. I mean it is only the third volume, but at this point idk if I'm motivated enough to read the whole series, but we'll see. I'll probably enjoy watching it more.

If I was in high school, I probably would have absolutely loved this series. But, I don't think it's doing it for me now. The fact that Nino doesn't listen to anything she doesn't want to hear and having these two boys talking about her like she's their property each one is trying to steal from the other is just...tiring. I've already started volume 4, but I think that's going to be it for me unless something changes (which I doubt as this is typical Shojo Beat)

I really want to love this series but something about the pacing of the story isn't connecting with me.

My first thoughts on this series were "cute art" and "like a watered-down, less intense Nana". Both have held true through v3. The pacing is also a lot faster than, say, Nana, which is not a bad thing. But boy, the men in this series - especially Momo! - are really possessive and abusive. I feel bad for Nino. I really hope the author is going to avoid the stupid shojo "first love is always the best and only love" trope and is instead leading up to giving readers a different message - that sometimes first loves are rotten, and maybe it's the second or third or fourth or no one else but yourself that's best for you.

In film lit classes we analyzed how female characters are often used as "pieces" for male characters in stories to fight over, and don't have their own agency. Momo and Yuzu have definitely got some of that syndrome going on here. I hope Nino can grow into her own strong and independent character. ... But if not, the art is still cute, and some of the dialogue enjoyable.

So much drama! Momo is really being a bit of an ass about everything, and I'm not entirely sure I understand where his character is coming from at this point - it feels like he wants to control Nino in a very unhealthy way, as if he can't cope with the idea that she's a person with her own will and not the little girl he left behind six years ago. At this point that leaves me rooting for Yuzu, but I really want (need) Nino to figure herself out and to come to terms with her abandonment issues.

This series is a dramatic train wreck, the kind you love to follow and later wonder why - in other words, pure shoujo angst. I can't wait for volume four.

Nino is Alice in the band as well as the Alice Yuzu has been inspired by since they met on the beach years ago. Yuzu loves Nino but she loves Momo and is still reaching for him so Yuzu vows to be her friend instead. But he loves her. This creates many awkward moments and fights that aren't fights.

Momo the composer is Alice's Momo but he pushes Nino away and she doesn't get the hint because one of her defining traits is that she doesn't listen.

Meanwhile, Haruyoshi is in love with Miou and doesn't do a damn thing about it. Miou is in love with Yuzu and wants to hate Nino, but Nino is sweet and oblivious and encourages Miou to hold on to her impossible love for Yuzu because she's holding on to hers for Momo and it's also stupid and I'm really bad at writing reviews right now.

This is a mess of a relationship all over, isn't it? Momo and Yuzu look like they could become friends, except for Nino. And Nino and Momo don't have anything healthy at all going on - childhood friends becomes rivals? But then Nino is still so obsessive...okay, Momo is too. Don't let them get together ever, PLEASE. They would not be healthy for one another in the least.

I'm falling for Yuzu best. He really doesn't deserve to be in this mess and I wish Momo would disappear completely just so he and Nino can stand a chance. UGH! Why do I do this to myself? I read these riduclous things and get all sucked in! On to the next book...

I read this, hoping it would cure me of my cliffhanger-itis from the manga's second installment... and it only WORSENED MY CONDITION!!!!! The cliffhanger at the end of this third installment left me hanging by a fingernail. A fingernail, people! The author knew exactly what they were doing to keep their readers hooked! I thought I could be spared spending money on the next installment in this manga series but by the time you read this, I'm probably already at the bookstore, wiping my tears over having spent more money with this manga's pages *whispers* it was worth it though 😔✊

It's only the third volume, but this has to be my favorite one so far! There is so much raw emotion in these chapters and it gives a better outlook on Yuzu's and Momo's relationship with each other and Nino. The art, as always, is stunning and a treat to look at.

The twist at the end of this volume...... Waa!!!! I could barely wait to run to the library and check the next volume!!!!

I am really enjoying this series. I like the fact it is not drawing things out too long, and yet also giving enough details and time to keep you wanting more. The characters are developing over the course of each volume and the graphics are consistent.
I really enjoyed this volume for the connection Momo and Yuzu have, as well as the somewhat friendship between Nino and Miou.

OMG what happened I got totally sucked in in spite of myself!!!

Still hate Momo, but I like that we're starting to get to know the rest of the band a little bit, and I love that Nino and Miou finally talk and kind of become friends. And also kind of love that Momo and Yuzu kind of become friends before they each know who the other is. Only now............

Ooooh, I waited too long to review this one, it has definitely faded in my memory. I enjoyed it while I was reading it, but kept putting it down because while it was fun, it wasn't compelling -- I could see too much of where it was going and the beats it would need to hit to get there. Momo is an excellent hot mess, though!

In this volume we get to see Nino fitting more into the band, In No Hurry.

She is still in live with her old friend Momo & still doesn't know where to find him. So she decides to give it her all in singing.

So we get some forward momentum in Yuzu and Nino's relationship... I'm quute interested to see how the Rock Horizons Festival plays out, and I am looking forward to checking out the anime as I like alt rock.

Disguised rock bands. Rivals and friends and frenemies. And Ryoko Fukuyama's exquisite play with patterns in her artwork. I'm loving so much about this series. Rockin' on to volume 4!

these kids are so melodramatic and this was the most enjoyable volume that i’ve read so far, but the story overall isn’t incredibly compelling? i’ve give one more volume a chance, but i just don’t think that this series is for me :/
