When ATF agents Troy Barclay and Amber Neilson are awakened in the middle of the night by a knock at the front door, the visitor turns out to be Davis Sawyer, the President of the United States. President Sawyer tells them he has a twin brother who is a criminal who disappeared from a prison in Melissa, Texas. He tells them that he and his brother didn’t know about each other until recently but they are estranged because of his brother’s occupation. President Sawyer is concerned that his brother, Bard, has been kidnapped and someone intends to use him to get to the President. President Sawyer asks Troy and Amber to find his brother and make sure he is safe but to keep him and the White House out of it. They agree and head to the federal prison in Melissa, Texas, where they figure out how Bard was broken out of prison by his gang and follow them to New Orleans where the gang has pulled off a $10 million robbery and disappeared. With the help of two FBI agents, Troy and Amber track the gang across the U.S. and confront them in a massive shootout; but when the mob boss and Bard get away, it sends Troy and Amber in a totally new direction. Back on the chase, Troy, Amber and the two FBI agents follow Bard’s trail to Galveston, Texas, where they find out who was really behind the ‘kidnapping’ of Bard Sawyer and face a treacherous and lethal enemy who wants them dead.

About the author

After graduating from Arizona State University with degrees in Zoology and Accounting, Mr. Adams joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation where, as a Special Agent, he investigated general crimes such as bank robberies, kidnappings and extortions as well as specializing in complex financial crimes as a forensic accountant. Mr. Adams went on to work for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation as an investigator where he worked bank fraud and embezzlement cases. He has been a licensed commercial and residential contractor and built and developed many housing units. As a lark, he signed on with a small Hollywood literary agency where he worked as a literary agent for many years. While working as an agent, he wrote several scripts and the third one was made into a movie called SECOND CHANCES. Since then he has written, directed and produced a number of award-winning shorts and several feature films. Mr. Adams decided to turn several of his scripts into novels and has six of them on Amazon, including the best-seller, FIRST LADY DOWN.

First Twin Down ( Troy Barclay/Amber Neilson mystery series #16)

Troy and Amber, still hunting for the "Invisible Man," are now tasked to find and rescue the President's twin brother who has mysteriously vanished from a maximum security prison. The journey runs through Texas, New Orleans, back to Texas, on to the New York harbour and finally back to Arizona. Both are ATF Agents based in Phoenix, Arizona but report to the President as well as their own levels of command. This is going to get your adrenaline rushing and your emotions are going to be tested, but this is a great read.
