Sometimes kindness is taken for weakness, but for twenty-year-old Tyla, it is a recurring theme. Tyla is known to everyone as a sweetheart. She is dependable, kind, and loyal to a fault. Because she sees the best in everyone, people in her life often take her for granted and write her off as naive and dumb.
Tyla's real problem is that she tends to trust and love the wrong people. Her boyfriend, Chris, is the worst of them all. He takes advantage of her kindness and disrespects her in the worst ways. Tyla is patient with Chris, but how far will he go before she's had enough?
Kenya is Tyla’s roommate and one of her best friends. The friendship is one-sided because Kenya only regards Tyla with disdain and envy. She resents the fascination that men seem to have with the ‘lame’ Tyla, and she takes pleasure in watching her supposed friend struggle in her relationship. Kenya lives life on her terms and is determined to have what she wants when she wants it, including Tyla’s boyfriend. Everything changes when Kenya finally meets someone who makes her want to settle down and be a one man woman. Too bad settling down with Kenya is the last thing on his mind.
Fake friends, heartbreak, and betrayal abound as these college students look for love in all the wrong places. After going through so much of the wrong love, will anyone get it right?
Tyla kinda blew mines though with how nice and trusting (naive) she was when it came to situations especially involving Chris and all the dirt he was doing like girl 🙄 open your eyes and see that your man ain't s***. But let me tell you when she finally smartened up I felt like a proud mama like yesssss girl get that back bone. As for Kenya I feel like she was corny and should of never had the title as a best friend like I'm still tryna understand how tyla aint know she was fake 🤔 but I enjoyed the book and I can't wait to see what goes down in part two.
I love me some Tyla and hope she get the best in the end.I don't like Chris i hope you kill him and Kenya with there selfish ass. I can go on and on but i am going stop and just say I really enjoy the book cant wait pt2. please please dont keep us waiting long.❤❤❤❤
This book gave it all I hate how caring and trusting Tyla was Chris was just a nasty, dirty dog and Kenya is lower than low I hoping for a part two cause justice must be served
Yass yass yass, I was so glad when Tula finally got her a backbone and stood up for herself. She was a push over and everybody did her dirty. With friends like she had who would ever need any enemies. Hopefully there's a part 2 and we can see how things unfold for her and Meechie. Great great read
This was being done so wrong throughout the whole book and I thought things were going to look up for her but by the end it didn't. I enjoyed the book but it kind of dragged on, I would still read another book by this author though.
I hated it ended that way...Didn't find out what happened with raye and her car....I wanted Kenya to see them together too ...that's why she lost a point...
