Ugh. I don't even know where to start with this one. First off, it needs a SERIOUS editing/proofreading job. Copious quantities of randomly capitalized words and misspellings abound. Second, So. Much. Repetition. And the final straw was the plot. How can someone be so stupid as to not even contemplate the possibility that people are going to think that Ashley was only hired because she was letting Brandon get into her pants? It's not even HINTED at. Not once. There are 1001 ways that the two of them could have hooked up, it the one chosen was so far out in left field that I couldn't even finish this piece of drek.
if I could give this less then one star I would. the first few chapters are repetitive. you don't have to tell me 3 times who the best friend is and how close they are. also the boyfriend and ex at the beginning of the book have no relevance to the story except to maybe show that the main character has rebound issues. the relationship between Ashley and Brandon is not really possible and I would not think that dating a guy that gives you a job is a good idea especially with his history. issues are not resolved with a quick trip to los Angeles or Paris.
In order to live happily ever after, Brandon and Ashley’s connection must weather the storms of despair. Ashely obtained a wonderful occupation due to Brandon hiring her. She walks on cloud 9…at least at first. “My Love: A Sweet Romance Novel: Volume 1” is a lovely romance that has real characters, filled with uprightness and sentiment. E.J. Adams writing style flows well and captured my attention throughout. It is a refreshing, clean love story which is what we need more of in our day and age.
Liked hero, the “cheat” was forced. Very fanciful premise and story development. No indication if they became intimate. Alluded to it, but it can be clean if there were kisses on more than cheeks.
Although a little simplistic, in my point of view, and although not exactly a cliffhanger, this serialized romance does continue on to the next episodes, if you are wrapped up in the lovers stories, and want to continue.
Sorry but the authors books all sound the same except for a change of character names. They're all rushed and there is no depth in theses stories ... was hoping that this boom would be different... no luck
This was touted as a clean romance and it was. The characters were well-written and believable. The story is nice and compelling. The only problem I had was the state of the editing in the book.
