I read this book first and was hooked. I immediately then went back and read the previous 3 books in this series. Lots of action, magic, and intrigue. These are stories of the Vallen. They have magical powers that are supposed to be used only for good. When someone misuses it's Kate's responsibility to remove those powers. This is apparently a full time job and she's tired of all the interruptions in her life. This series has characters you'll love and some you'll despise. Lots of action and surprises.

I received an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review. I really like this book and loved the way the author introduces you to Katrina and Jack. You can see the interest however he is not part of high society so she cannot have feelings for him. Katrina has strong magic and is responsible for making sure no one uses magic to harm. I love the way the author brought those two together and I enjoyed reading this book. Jack becomes an honest man in this book, you will love him.

Great series.

Loved this series. A little majic and good romances. Just enough mystery to keep you reading on. Found myself reading way to long before I could force myself to stop to get things done. Would love another in the series.
