Christina Strain (born April 27, 1981) is an American comic book colorist, writer and screenwriter. Strain formerly worked for Marvel Comics as a colorist before pursuing a career as a writer. Strain's notable works include; the award-winning Marvel series Runaways, Marvel's Generation-X, the Syfy TV show, The Magicians, and the Netflix series Shadow and Bone.
Two issues in and I'm not sure where this is headed, they still haven't finished the set up. I have high hopes. I really like these characters. Come on next issue!
With the camp factor upped, this issue was better than the first. Some really great humor here. I like that Strain isn't trying to take this title too seriously and is giving the second stringers their day in the sun.
Looks like my lesson is that my old favorites (Cap, Avengers, X-Men Gold) aren't being utilized well but the new titles (X-Men Blue, Generation X, Jean Grey) are worth keeping on my pull list.
