Torn: Kory & Aimee

Rate this book
I have the worst husband known to womankind. He's arrogant, selfish, mean, and I've been his secret for six years! He won't grant me a divorce - trust me, I've asked many times. He thinks because he's a lawyer I won't be able to get the divorce I want.
Trouble is, I don't really want a divorce, I want my husband to treat me right. To come home and be proud to tell everyone that we're married, that he loves me. That won't happen, so the least he can do is give me the baby I so desperately want. Right?
Wrong. The selfish SOB has decided now is the right time to be a husband. He tells everyone without giving me fair warning. Okay, he told me, but he's said it many times before so I didn't believe him. My parents turn against me because of it, and I hate him for it! I want nothing more to do with him.
So what does he do? He kidnaps me and holds me hostage in order to force me to be the good little wife. I don't want to be here with him, but the trouble is, I'm Torn. I love him but I hate him.

Aimee is my wife, she'll do as she's told whether she likes it or not. I'm not the bas***d she believes I am. Maybe a little bit, but I have my reasons for doing what I did. She might hate me for a little while, but she'll come around, Aimee always does. All I have to do is click my fingers and she'll drop to her knees. She ain't changed in six years. She never will.
Am I arrogant? Yes.
Do I give a s**t? Nope.

The story itself is not that bad, although a bit soapy. But the grammar and punctuation mistakes are a pain in the neck and distracting.

I really didn’t like Kory! He was a complete and utter asshole. Not only did he kidnap and drug his wife, he had sex with her when she said no. He thought that by kidnapping Aimee and keeping her locked up at his home that he was proving his love in some sort of messed up romantic way.
It wasn’t until towards the end that I liked Aimee and Kory as a couple. For the majority of the book I wanted Aimee to leave him. Don’t even get me started on Aimee’s parents. I was so angry about their treatment of Aimee. Yes I understood that they were upset about missing their daughters wedding and her secrets but that was no excuse.
My heart hurt for Aimee. All I wanted was for her to be truly happy. She loved Kory but he treated her like crap and then treated her like her feelings weren’t important. When it was revealed why Kory kept her a secret did I understand? Yes but he went about it the wrong way. I cannot wait to read Greggs story, I need it now!
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and is an ok read.

Our little miss Aimee has been keeping a huge secret!!! Remember Kory? yeah the brother - that Kory.
You are going to love to hate him. This guy makes a caveman look civilized. Kory and Aimee made a rash decision and two weeks later....well lets just say things didn't go as planned. Kory realized he made a hasty decision, then made a stupid one that he dragged out for 6 years - hurting Aimee more and more. When Kory decides everyone needs to know Aimee is his, including Aimee what will the fall out be? Will Aimee fall in with his plans or has she finally washed her hands of him.

I actually really enjoyed this one. I wanted to throat Kory on more than one occasion an shake the ever living daylights out of Aimee. Since reading the first couple of books, I realized the author is British and that explains some of the wording that I struggled a bit with in the previous stories. Overall this is a great addition to the series and I enjoyed reading it.
