Mason (Billionaire Bastards, Book One) is a full-length standalone romance with a guaranteed HEA
My gorgeous new boss has a secret.
A secret so dark, so twisted, that he never even speaks of it.
But it’s always there, simmering below his perfectly constructed façade, and it makes him want to do things to me.
Punish me.
Make me strip.
Spank my bare flesh and tie me up.
I know it’s the demons from his past that make him do these things, but I also know that I love the way it feels. Love the way he makes me feel when we’re together.
I crave more of it, more of him. More of his lips on my skin, his hands on my hips, his body pressed against mine.
I can’t help but think that beneath all his darkness, something deep and real is happening between us. I can’t help but wish that maybe he would open up, let me in, let me know what, exactly, is tormenting his soul.
But I know it’s impossible. He’s a gorgeous, cold-hearted billionaire bastard, and that’s all he’ll ever be…

This was a hot little number. Short and sweet with a little bit of erotica to make it exciting and spicy. More of a novella length, this book is well written and it's not overloaded with extraneous details.
Plenty of hot scenes and delicious descriptions, Mason is very hot and cold and pulled a few surprises. Yummmm A nice HEA left it open for maybe a sequel down the line? One can only hope.
This copy I received also had an additional story attached that was also very good. I will review that separately.
This was ok. It wrapped up quick without any real explanation. Mason's startled awakening at the end really seemed rushed and out of character. I think if we had a POV from Mason it would have helped. This stopped at 67% and there was a bonus book. Again if the author would focus on a complete thought out book it would have been so much better.
This book was a 3.5 for me, though the spice was spicing, and the smexy scenes were hot AF, the MMC was SO hot and cold I had whiplash. He never verbally defined what they were, but his actions sure as hell did. The FMC was an annoying and young naïve girl who was confident in her ability to do her job, but yet wasn't very confident in herself. Which is crazy cause you should be either confident in everything, or not at all... It was such a short read that I decided to finish it, but probably about 45% through I wanted to DNF.

So Mason is a famous handsome and ofcourse rich tycoon who employed Olivia as his personal secretary but for him she later becomes more than that. And his two friends Lucas and Holden don't like it. Rest of it is all about their personal life tragedies and Mason and Olivia 's intimacy. Nothing new it's like fifty shades with a little background of stock market.
There was just so many things I didn’t liked in this book that it’s difficult to mention all. There is literally no character building or plot here. Its like a very very bad porn with just no story. At some points it was going good but it seriously lacked depth. This book needed more pages to build better story and character depth. It had potential but lacked in execution. There were things which lacked explanation and more pages were required here.
I repeatedly considered leaving this book unread. The protagonist was incompetent, unlikable and obviously unemployable. She was unbelievable with a 'back story' that could not be reconciled with her present...Her boss/junior high-level crush was likewise impossible to root for. Character and plot development matter...I won't bother with #2.
I received an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review so here goes:
Once I started reading I couldn't put it down. Olivia Landers was fresh out of college with a plan. To work as a day trader for the best firm in NY. Her interview did go as she hoped but she was offered a job she felt she was overqualified for so she declined the offer. Then her phone rings and it's bad news from the other firm she applied to so she was forced to go back to Daylight Trading to try to get back the personal assistant job she was offered.
Fortunately for her it was still available but with she had to play by the boss's rules. Her billionaire boss Mason is a sexy beast with his own dark secrets. I was getting upset at Mason for being a dick and mad at Olivia for not having enough backbone but I loved the two of them together. I enjoyed the sex scenes but I would have loved to know about her job with Venture...watch her kick ass as a day trader. Everyone is not going to feel the way I do about this book so I encourage you to read it for yourself. It was an enjoyable read. I hope to read about the two other billionaire bastards.
I chose this rating because this was a pretty good book. The characters were very interesting. Now when I started reading I thought Mason was strange and very rude. He was in a very dark place and something was brewing in his head. Now I believe Olivia was determined to try to get her job with him in that fortune 500 company. She was determine. But she was always second-guessing herself, just like Mason said. Mason has some business partners that really didn't like Olivia as well so I really didn't like that either. But she had a determining spirit. She had gotten fed up with his rudeness so she did what she had to do. I'm gonna leave it right there because you all need to read the book to find out what happened. Great read. I recommend this book for all romance readers.
Deadly book. The writing is clumsy and I saw so many typos. There’s no connections or genuine relationships in the story and it seems like the author tried to throw so many tropes in that don’t work well together billionaire playboy has a chip on his shoulder, treats the girl like trash and she just accepts it.
Throughout the book she’s called a gold digger and yeah she bloody is! Why else would she strip day one?? Or constantly accept his horrible treatment only to pretend to run away in the hopes he chases her?? It’s all so embarrassing and I couldn’t stop cringing. It was so difficult to relate to any characters and then at the end they all magically make up and are friends *eye roll*
Olivia has wanted to be the best junior trader ever and she tries to find employment with Daylight Holdings, Mason Wood's company. An unfortunate fiasco in the elevator puts her at a disadvantage with Mason. She is offered another position, personal assistant, private and public. Extreme ups and downs mark this relationship. Olivia has truths to face and determination to succeed, at whatever costs, with Mason.
It was a quick read but unrealistic. There wasn't enough to make the characters "in love." It had potential but seemed to just fast forward past relationship building. Conflicts were wrapped up and resolved without trying. There was no groveling or understanding. Just instant acceptance and forgiveness off all characters in the story.
It's hard to believe this is a series. Nothing in this book makes me want to read another book about any of the characters.
I am not sure about this book. Mason was such a hard ass and then goes from hard ass to lover and would do anything for Liv. The Olivia is going to walk about and he totally changes his attitude not sure how to take this one.. not sure if I will read the other books in series.
The story had several errors and places that just fell short. It could use more storyline or something past the basic 50 shades movie with half a thought about the tragic past change up. I was hopeful for a better arch and building out of the characters and the plot.
Mason is an asshole billionaire! Olivia is recent graduate in finance. Having problems getting a job as a stock analyst she accept a job with Mason's company as his personal assistant. But his punishments can be severe!
I really enjoyed this book! I love the plot lines and seeing the characters interact. I was in complete astonishment at one point! Super sexy and loved Mason's Alpha side! Can't wait to read Lucas!
If you want to read a book that makes you think you’ve skipped chapters on accident, or maybe an entire book, this is for you. The writing is actually enjoyable. The plot, or lack of, is frustrating. This isn’t a romance book….it’s a bad porn that gets almost there but is unreachable
Honestly this was just boring. This book felt really rushed and there was little to no climax. There was no further input on about three different characters and what happened to them and overall just felt like a first draft.
I like the boss/ assistant trope normally but this was just silly. Her first day at work and he strips and spanks her when there was literally no build up. There was no actual chemistry or fun lead up.
This book has massive potential, but it was so rushed it was disappointing. If only the author developed more chemistry between the characters, had more story development instead of instant satisfaction.
DNF @ 49% Something about this book just didnt sit right. Half way through there was no buildup, no slow burn. The MMC was toxic and aggressive but not in a good way. The FMC was whiny and a pushover and I just didn't like it
I was actually looking for a completely different book with the same name, and got this one instead. Overall, it's good but I hate that he kept going hot in cold. If he wanted to do that he should have left her alone, but of course there wouldn't be a book then
