Jardus, an ordinary young man, is caught up in a conflict between the guardians of his realm and an ancient evil. Given the opportunity to join these legendary protectors and fight for his realm, Jardus travels with his new-found companions throughout new lands and faces several harrowing adventures. Along the way they forge alliances, uncover hidden enemies, and engage in battles where victory hangs by a thread. Jardus learns that he and his comrades will eventually have to face the ruler of the dark forces who wishes to dominate Jardus's own realm and others. Jardus and his allies must now marshal all possible defenders to their side in order to triumph over their enemies.
