The education system of India has been thoroughly compromised. It is being systematically used to create a historical grand narrative, which is ethically and factually incorrect. Sophisticated propaganda techniques are employed to create this artifice. This book is an effort to highlight this academic fraud. It is a result of research spread over more than 6 years. Facts are the guiding lights for the books and not any ideology.
One of the well researched book. Every Indian should read this to understand why we have lost self respect and direction. This book is a very good read and an eye opener to the misdoings and the blatant mis representation of Indian History and to the misplaced glorification of the Invaders of India right from the Islamic invaders to the European ones. In India, our history is never written in neutral point of view. It is always left leaning to fulfill their agenda and propagate their ideology in Indian history which we all study in schools and universities through NCERT books. This book try to reveal history which was hidden. It makes you realise how our own history was distorted. This was a fantastic read for me who is a product or a victim of the distorted history.
You can see how these historian degrade our scriptures by saying all fault and utter bullshit. Belittling Hindu scriptures are their main purpose in the name of "freedom of speech". And you know books written by these eminent historian are recommended by coaching institute to those who are preparing for UPSC exams. Being a MBA finance guy, i even thought of doing a course in Indian history just for increasing my knowledge. That plan is cancel now after reading so many distorted history.
If you ever feel that you have not read the real history like me. This is the perfect book for you which will tell you reason for it and how they distort it. Highly recommended.
Great book. Amazing content. Book show the reality of how we are brainwashed in education. Its high time to correct all these things. Time to learn unbiased knowledge.
A comprehensive study of the almost Nazi like propaganda used in the NCERT history textbooks written by communist propagandists. A thoroughly researched work that highlights blatant misinformation and lying in our history textbooks.
History writing is critical to the making of a nation. But unfortunately, what we see here is total antipathy and hatred for Bharatiya culture and civilization. Combined with most visibly, a whitewashing and the exoneration of the role of Islam in Indian history, and the whitewashing of the violent history of christian evangelists. They wipe out all evidence of islamic iconoclasm destruction of invaluable amount of art, culture and knowledge. The most oppressive Islamofascist regimes are shown as the epitome of justice and efficient administration. And the systematic and sophisticated hatred for Brahmans has an uncanny resemblance to the campaigns which were carried out by Nazis to vilify Jews.
NCERT textbooks are clearly following the colonial aim of divisive education to keep Indians in a state of intellectual slavery. More reference notes and bibliography could have made this book better.
This book gives a very valuable insight about the type of propaganda that has taken over our taught history in education system. The authors have went to great efforts into research as to how our history is not being taught as a fact of truth but to appeal to a specific section of society and satisfy the ego of some political ideology. And this is being done at the cost of sacrificing, or slaughtering (to be more precise) the religious and cultural integrity of the majority in India. If you had any questions during your school times regarding our country' s history this book has the answers. For example if the caste system or satisfy pratha were so common since ancient times how come no one in ancient India observe that it was evil. If India were so poor and backward why was it invaded by the foreigners? Turns out the answer is far from what we are being taught.
This book is not a narrative being set to counter the one we believe as history. This book is a fact. Fact strongly backed by historical records and evidences. The author has given references to all the historical documents wherever he has the challenged the traditional narratives. A must read for all Indians I must say. Because this book is a wake up call, a whistle blower. This book is going to challenge all our traditional beliefs in our country's history to the core. A challenge to the systematic conditioning of the minds of our country's future generations. And finally this book is the answer. Answer to all the questions that were raised in my mind while learning our country's history. My only complaint is the typographical errors in this kindle edition. My humble request to look into this and do the needful asap.
Simply brilliant work put in the authors. This is a great service done to Indians by the authors. The best part is that they not highlighted the blatant lies of the leftist historians but also went to court & forced them to reply to more than 200 RTIs for the various dubious statements in the history books of NCERT.
To summarize, if one needs to read fiction then should read NCERT history books.
Must read for all Indians to know the grave injustice is done to the children year after year.
Lot of inconvenient facts about the Muslim invaders are presented from their own historians. The mask of the Abrahamic religions is lifted & the myth of sameness of all religions is busted.
A thoroughly researched book, not just for those getting to know Indian History or the students who are already reading all the distorted narratives and lies NCERT is still peddling, but for every single one of us who has been brainwashed by a completely one-sided leftist or communist version of history.
A must read. I feel after so many years India is finally able to see what kind of systemic bias is being told to kids and also above that to the rest of the world.
Great book , covered all topics by Pages of NCERT books and how it changed our History with real evidences from ancient texts which was removed ,He may not be the best writer but He is a great observer . After reading this book I removed all my NCERT history books and burned it down , I am soo much frustated by the history Maxist tells us , Now I have RC majumdar book and KM munshi series along with really great authors like minakshi Jain , And now I am able to understand the difference in my thought process and how just by changing narration of your History will make you weak and Submissive , I cannot Imagine how many of my friends or lets say all children today + during my times combined will react if they some how able to observe this book . Really recommended book , He also runs a youtube channel , Though some of his contents is too much one sided , but His book is overloaded with Facts which is hard to deny
Clinical look into Gandhian-Secularist basis of post 1947 historiography. Deception that is the core of genocidal ideologies must be exposed to prevent them. Neeraj is the writer suited for this no-nonsense appraisal of secularist lies.
If a student takes the NCERT textbooks seriously, this book is a gateway to understanding how a Christian and a Muslim student remain a Christian and a Muslim student respectively (if not become emboldened versions of themselves) and how a Hindu student becomes a self-loathing wimp or an "atheist".
It serves as a reminder that we need to write our own history - we who have been invaded. The colonizers should not script history for us.
It serves as a reminder that while the colonizers have left our shores, they have not left many of our minds and that we haven't dealt with the scourge of "Macaulayism" definitively.
It serves as a reminder that the rot of negationism is sky-high in India. If we had any intellectual honesty and an imperative to protect our civilization, we would have had a holocaust museum in every nook and corner of our country.
If serves as a reminder that the narrative control is still not in the hands of the Hindus but in the hands of people who extol Abrahamic faiths and who belittle Dharma.
It serves as a reminder that the NCERT education is not education but indoctrination.
The amount of distortions in NCERT History text books is troubling. It seems to be written for the purpose of breaking India on the lines of caste, regions etc. At the same time it seems to be apologetic about Islamic Invaders.
Neeraj Atri in this book counters all the lies in NCERT History books with facts from primary sources of History. This book should be taught to all school students in parallel if the Government does not change the history text books.
This book discussed various historical events that are given in NCERT books. This book is valuable for historians. The writing in this book has been dominated by government. In this book writer showed contradictory statements of NCERT which were generally ignored by students as well as teachers also. This book is OK however it has lot of spelling mistakes.
The book explains faults that are being done NCERT that’s been teaching biased History through its History text books for students by twisting the facts of History. It should be read by every Indian teenager, A well researched book.
There's a quote I once read, "A nation is advanced in proportion to education and intelligence among the masses" What would that imply for generations being told selective and whitewashed history of their own land?
The book can actually be read as a compilation of articles on the controlled history ncert provides to students who trusted it for knowledge. The author, after reading the history ncert books, had filed around 200 RTIs (under the right to information act) demanding proofs or references on the basis of which NCERT wrote the inquired paragraphs or extracts. One would of course excpect NCERT, being such a reputed organisation to atleast answer 90% of the RTIs but as the author wrote in the intoduction, almost all were answered in a single sentence , that there are no proofs. A very small fraction was answered with flimsy excuses.
The author explores how ancient India, the kings and the brave queens recieve barely a paragraph while Mughals who invaded India, sexually exploited millions, destroyed thousands of temples and architectures recieve numerous chapters YET the truth is selectively filtered. Their crimes somehow find no mention. Numerous brave people find no place in these books. The queens such as Rani Lakshmibai, Rani Abbaka, Rani Cheenamma are largely ignored. The northeast especially, which has had many brave freedom fighters and rulers has no mention. The freedom struggle is told through a biased lense.
One can almost draw a connection, between the whitewashed education, students hating their own civilization and country, and news of university students shouting anti-India slogans.
The author doesn't bombard you with his own views and uses several sources to expose NCERT's deciet. I remember reading about an historian (I forgot the name) who was appointed in the ncert committe decades back and removed when he voiced his opinion against the selective and false history being portrayed. This book is honestly a must read for everyone. It is honestly surprising how this has been going on for years.
Book seems to be well researched but later gave a feeling of serious prejudice against a section of society and a piece of propaganda material I respect that author is standing for the truth but this extensive research is not substantiated by proper reference in bibliography Kindle version has lot of grammatical and spelling errors Good read to know more about the depth of hatred we are living in and how this book wants to propagate hatred amongst kids
Why does Bharat need to alter, rephrase, redraft and rewrite her history?
Bharat’s history needs to be modified so that young generation gets rid of their low self-esteem enforced through biased history.
If Bharat has to emerge as powerful nation in the next couple of decades, her history needs to be seriously revamped. .
The process has to begin with removing the distortions in history books, which have been intentionally foistered on the students.
Into eight chapters this book has been divided:
CHAPTER 1: Breaking the Geographical Contiguity CHAPTER 2: Uprooting the Linguistic Heritage CHAPTER 3: Breaking the Civilizational Contiguity CHAPTER 4: Distorting the Legacy CHAPTER 5: The Wicked Indian Kings and the Emancipating Invaders CHAPTER 6: Indic Traditions Oppress Women CHAPTER 7: Dividing Population into Hostile Groups CHAPTER 8: The Evil Brahmans
What do the aforementioned chapters contain? Let’s have a bird’s eye view –
In the first chapter, many elusive propaganda procedures used by the NCERT are underlined. These techniques are used to create a view that India has been just a geographical region with no unity sustaining its existence.
Chapter 2, entitled, ‘Uprooting the linguistic heritage’, shows that the violence on Sanskrit language is persistent in all the NCERT history textbooks. It is very refined and restrained, however. Sanskrit is presented as a language of colonialists enforced on the natives and local languages. It is shown as an exclusivist language, used by Brahmans for manipulating the ‘natives’.
Chapter 3, entitled ‘Breaking the civilizational contiguity -The Aryan Invasion Theory’ harps on the subject that contrived by the British in 18th century, AIT is the substratum on which the aggressive divisions in the Indian society are created and in which the discordant identity politics takes roots. And even though the AIT has been deserted by most of its former vocal supporters, the NCERT authors attach the AIT in the textbooks and base several other of their historical narratives on the AIT.
Chapter 4, entitled ‘Distorting the legacy’ shows the fashion in which NCERT history writers attack all Indic scriptures and literature like Ved, Mahabharat, and Ramayan by belittling their missive, mocking their spirit and spurning their legitimacy.
Chapter 5, entitled ‘The wicked Indian kings and the emancipating invaders’ critiques the contrasting portrayal of Indic kings and foreign rulers in different periods of Indian history. NCERT history writers present the foreign invaders, primarily the Muslim Turkic and Mughal regimes, as benevolent and just.
The last three chapters are the best.
Chapter 6, entitled ‘Indic traditions oppress women’ is primarily rooted in the belief that Indic traditions are thoroughly misogynist. It is a known fact that Indic traditions celebrate a supreme power that is Ardhnarishwar, and the same cosmology permeates the worldly relations. The Indic approach can offer a practical substitute to the current argumentative discourse on feminism. Yet, the NCERT authors portray it otherwise.
Chapter 7 is called, ‘Dividing population into hostile groups’. You know what -- the message to the children is very clear and is repeated again and again – India comprises several hostile social groups classified in terms of tribes, castes, races and classes. All these different social groups have always been at war with each other. In doing this, NCERT history writers reverse the actual historical narrative where the local social groups have always come together to defeat the foreign imperialistic powers.
Chapter 8 is most stimulating. It is entitled, ‘The Evil Brahmans’. The NCERT historical narrative reprimands ‘upper castes’, particularly Brahmans, as the diabolical antihero of Indian history. They, in league with Kshatriyas, are painted as forerunners of the biased caste system, womenvictimisation, cultural hegemony and marginalisation of the diverse sections of Indian society. In this chapter the authors scrutinize whether the historical facts authenticate NCERT authors’ disparagement of Brahmans.
We discover that the NCERT authors are basically following the colonial practice of demonising the Brahman, and making sweeping generalisations against a social group without any realistic basis in history.
So now do you grasp why you must read this book?
If it were up to me, I would put one copy of this tome in the hands of every Sanatani teenager of my Bharat.
"Brainwashed Republic" shows how school students are brainwashed and then grow up without a sense of pride in being Indian or Hindu. We may have encountered people who say Mughals were good and Britishers developed us, and these invasions were good as brahmins were exploiting every individual, and what not! Actually, I have encountered people who claim this.It used to leave me wondering what went wrong and how anyone could praise invasions.
When you read this book, you will realize that the books that were supposed to impart historical knowledge had the mission of creating brainwashed citizens with no pride in their roots.
Mr. Neeraj Atri was a physics teacher who had no background in history until one day he realized there was something very wrong in the NCERT history books and then started looking into history to crosscheck NCERT.Realizing that the NCERT's teachings were baseless and followed the hidden agenda of whitewashing the atrocities of the invaders and blaming everything on Brahmins, he filed an RTI asking for the source. About a year later, the NCERT responded, but most of the responses were meaningless as the NCERT itself had no evidence.
The author has provided many facts and their sources in this book.Copies of RTI and NCERT answers are also provided at the end of the book. This book is a must-read for students as well as adults.
It boils my blood thinking of the misinformation in our school systems.
This year reading the Indic books makes me believe that Indic history as misrepresented it is in the current system needs to be remedied at lightening speed.
I don't know what is the solution other then using the laws like the authors of the book to remedy the subjects taught to the student and inculcate the correct Indic history of Bharat.
Huge inputs from many people are needed to correct the history and support the Authors in our endeavour for Bharat.
Citizens who are below economic means of daily life will be unable to be an active participant of this endeavour, hence making bhartiya more self dependent in creating a prosperous economic condition is of also an important step for the success of our Indic knowledge.
The incorrect and meancing version of wrongly taught history influencing shame in our heritage and culture of our bhartiya traditions. We establish gurukuls and indic school of thoughts that bring our traditions to the cusp of old and current times.
I hope I be alive to see the resurrection of our bhartiya pride in our traditions.
Kudos to the writers for an excellent job at fact finding and the courage they have shown by standing against probably the biggest mafia network in the country, the antinational gang in the disguise of liberal covers! Book tells how systematic degradation of the children of this country is done. Book goes on how, when, where and in what form, all the lies and hatred for self, is ingrained in the children of schools who later grow up to Haye everything that is 'Bharatiya' including this very tag, 'Bharatiya'.
