I give this story four stars for the plot which at first I thought would be like the movie "Return to Me" where the heroine receives a heart transplant and then, unknown to her, falls in love with the dead woman's husband.

Well, in this story, the heroine seeks out the family of the woman who donated the heart and falls into a murder mystery. True, the dead woman's husband is the hero of the story, but there's an unexpected twist I won't share as a spoiler.

Good plot, decent romance. Simple sex scenes. Overall, entertaining.

Siempre me encanta el estilo de Amanda Stevens, quien ya conocía a través de la serie “La reina del cementerio”, protagonizada por Amelia Gray. Aunque he detectado semejanzas narrativas con la historia mencionada (el policía arisco y sombrío, pero aun así sensual y magnético; una hermosa y manipuladora mujer fallecida hace años que sigue influenciando las vidas de las personas que la conocieron; una protagonista curiosa e inteligente que aprovecha sus corazonadas para investigar misterios espeluznantes), ya sabía que este libro me iba a gustar.

This was an interesting romance. It leaned a little towards supernatural theme in the clues for the intrigue but it was evil against the good more. I bought this at a library book sale and I voluntarily chose to review this intriguing romance. While it was interesting, I didn't get into it very fast. Lots of false clues to stir things up. I didn't really care to read this before bed though. I gave it a 4* rating.

My first Amanda Stevens books were the Graveyard Queen books, which totally blew me away with how fantastic they were. So when I found some of her older backlist ebooks on my library app, I decided to give one of her old series romance titles a try. Granted, this was no Graveyard Queen, but I was pleasantly surprised by this book! I can definitely see the same style of writing, and I really enjoyed the modern gothic story in this one. Obviously, being a series romance, it isn’t as fleshed out as her later novels, but I will definitely read more of these oldies!

I have always enjoyed Intrigue books by Harlequin and this was no exception.
Anna has had a heart transplant and decides after some strange occurrences that she wants to meet the family of her donor.
There is suspense as she meets the family and must keep the recipient information to herself. There are suspicious events occurring all around her and an instant attraction to Ben the donors husband. A great read for those who enjoy a good who-done-it.

Woman gets a new heart and finds love. I expected the romance...nothing too graphic...However it is really a nice murder mystery. The reader is caught guessing at several possible suspects. Good summer beach read.

This read like a condensed agatha christie style with a number of characters and a little crazy mix. not for me.
