Prim, proper, classic good girl, and her least favorite label - icy.

Lila Kate Carter has heard them all. The last one, being the newest. She is not icy. She just doesn’t care for Cruz Kerrington and his spoiled, selfish, careless ways. That doesn’t make her icy, that makes him a jerk!

Tired of being labeled and doing what is expected of her, Lila Kate leaves Rosemary Beach, Florida ready for an adventure. Wanting to recreate herself, find a new path, and become something more.

Eli Hardy is tired of women who always act the same, do the same thing and expect the same thing. He's ready to swear off women until he can get the rest of his life together.

Two weeks into his no-women-rule he meets Lila. She’s so damn sweet and polite. Like she walked right out of an etiquette book. But he’d already been drunk before she walked in so there was a good chance she might not be as stunning and perfect as he thinks. He’s just too drunk to worry about that.

The next morning, he swears he can still smell her on his skin. He just can’t remember why or what happened after that third dance.

Their worlds are about to collide, and so are the secrets and lies.

What the hell was this that I just read?
All I can say is there is NOTHING hero like about Cruz! He was a nasty whoring jerk who thought nothing of sleeping with a married woman for five years and making sex video's with her. I know he was not with Lila but sleeping with that bitch in the beginning of the book right in in front of Lila showed how little he cared about her as a lifelong friend. Countless scenes with him ogling other women and getting turned on by them (Emmy) even after before and after sleeping with Lila did nothing to make me believe that he loved her all along. He would have slept with Emmy no doubt about it if he hadn't spotted Lila watching him. As for Lila a more pathetic female I could not name right now. She pined for this jerk for years and was all sweet and understanding of his whoring past. He treated her like crap but she still caved in every single time. In no way was her character strong she was actually pathetic and an embarrassment to all women out there! Cruz and those sex videos with a married older woman showed he had no morals, him being with other women after sleeping with Lila and almost sleeping with Captain's daughter Emmy showed he can get easily turned on by ow. Not for a moment did I believe him when he said afterwards that no other women would do because he was obsessed with Lila. If AG wanted us to believe him why did she add that scene with Emmy which showed he had no problems getting turned on by ow that he was seriously contemplating sleeping with Emmy just before his avowal of devotion to Lila?! Def my last book by this author I can't handle her nasty whoring male leads and her weak pathetic females anymore.

0,01 star, and if possible with minus!
The story was so bad, it’s not even funny.

Full of TSTL moments, very unlikable spoiled characters, fat slut-shaming and huge double standards.

LOVE-TRIANGLE!!!

I can’t believe this pathetic selfish brat, Lila Kate, was raised by Grant and Harlow.
NEVER!!! I just can’t believe it!!!

And she didn’t end up with Eli – the only decent character in this book – no, she ended with the biggest abhorrent manwhore ever – Cruz Kerrington.

I can’t believe the Kerringtons raised this P.O.S., worthless creature.
Never!!! Nightmare…

I actually liked RB series… What happened there???

This one was disgusting.

All OWs (incl. thousands of OW Cruz f*cked (also in public) after meeting Lila Kate, after discovering his love for her; after he f*cked Lila Kate BARE/WITHOUT CONDOM he continued to f*ck OWs) – all those women were SLUTS!?! Whores!?! And only Lila Kate was saint and worth everything???
Really? Can they bring more slut-shaming?!

He f*cked thousands of women and he was cool, coz he was a man.
And all these OWs were worthless sluts?!
Really?
F*ck this crap!!! Double standards MEGA alarm!!!

Lila Kate even saw a video with him f*cking older married OW anal.
And she worried that she wasn’t enough for him, coz she was unexperienced…
Was she for real???

I’d rather wish my daughter to be alone, than with such horrible disgusting jerk.
And don’t forget this older married woman claimed to be pregnant with his baby…
Could it be any “better”?!?

But…. St. Lila Kate also slept with Eli. They were drunk and he wore condom.
Thanks God at least Eli was saved from all STDs Cruz gathered over the years.

And how could Grant be ok with this disgusting P.O.S. having his precious daughter?
How?!?

Was this book written by the same author, who wrote RB series?!?

I don't even know what to say about this mess. Characters that I fell in love with in the previous series are being destroyed by their children and their shitty decisions.

Here is the thing - I enjoy her writing. I do. I like the style of it - it's easy, romantic dribble.

But the plots.

Oi. The plots.

description

Warning - this review contains spoilers and I don't care so reader beware.

Because of Lila is basically the same BS that went on in Because of Low: an insecure girl meets a guy trying to get over the girl he's really in love with. The only difference is she threw in a love triangle this time. So this chick is gorgeous, naive, and innocent, and has two dudes fighting over her.

Lila Kate is the daughter of Harlow and Grant, the miracle baby that shouldn't have made it. Well she grew up to be just like Harlow - pretty, shy, quiet, and boring AF. After never doing anything in her life, she just wants to be different. Especially after that mean ol' Cruz Kerrington said she was cold. Hurt by his words, she decides to make her own adventure and leave Rosemary Beach behind. So she ventures to Seabreeze to meet her buddy Nathan and his fiancée Bliss.

Naturally, her adventure doesn't go quite like she plans. She meets this cute guy Eli, flirts, and proceeds to follow him to the beach and have sex.

So she has a one night stand. Super brave and adventurous right?!

Well the next morning is going fine until she realizes - wait for it - that Eli is actually Bliss's BFF!

description

Eli, hungover from the night before, can hardly remember what happened. He remembers flirting with some beauty at the bar, dancing with her, but not much after that. What luck when he comes across Lila again! Only, she's so upset! Something obviously happened, but he just can't remember. It's okay. He's a nice guy so he'll figure it out eventually.

After she agrees to another date with him, he ventures over to pick her up. Except Bliss answers the door and asks him to be her best man! Oh no! B-b-but he's in love with her! How can he handle it?!

SUCH DRAMA!

While he knows it'll pain him to watch her marry someone that isn't him, he agrees. Lila Kate, having witnessed the whole thing from the stairs, realizes he's in love with Bliss and decides to reveal her own heartache. Together they drink and feel depressed and watch a movie together. Oh and she tells him they slept together. He feels bad he doesn't remember. She wakes up early and bolts, leaving a note behind.

You still with me?

Okay, on her way back to Nate's house, there is someone waiting for her. Yup, you guessed it. CRUZ! He's realized he just doesn't want her to leave Rosemary Beach. It's just not safe. He decides to go on the adventure with her. So she just leaves her shit, jumps on his bike, and takes off to New Orleans. She buys a crop top, mini skirt, and some heels, and then parades around town.

Then we spend a chapter reading how they jump from bar to bar, making each other jealous every other bar.

Oh and then they go bone back in the hotel room.

So an author that has virtually slut-shamed every non-virginal female in her books finally decided to have a character be uninhibited by sleeping with two guys in one week - except she made the character have unprotected sex with some guy who has had 100 plus partners?

description

I was finally pleased to see her not slut-shame a female character but she made her a moron!

STOP WRITING ABOUT UNSAFE SEX! IT'S STUPID! USE A CONDOM! HAVE COUPLES GET TESTED! THIS IS FUCKING RIDICULOUS!

I've noticed a lot of readers are young females and this makes me so angry. All of her characters have unprotected, unsafe sex. If you're going to have your target audience be youths, then writing sex scenes means more than a regular romance novel. This basically says sleeping with someone without a condom is no big deal.

SO. WRONG.

The rest of the book goes on much like her other books. Eli, like Marcus, gets left in the dust. Cruz made sex tapes with some married woman - which was by far the most ridiculous scene ever - and Lila finds out about it. And Lila Kate proved to be a dumbass.

All I can say is: don't be like Lila.

3.5 Because of Cruz STARS

"Fucked up Cruz Kerrington didn’t deserve Lila Kate.

description

-¿Me gusto? Tampoco

description

description

Oh this was messy, and not in a good way. I wanted to love this but this was not my favorite. It started off strong, but took a nose dive as it went on.

I guess my main issue with this book is the hero was soooo unlikable to me. Abbi has a lot of heroes that start out rough, but completely win you over. I was not won over by Cruz. Sigh. This may be an unpopular opinion, but Eli Hardy should have got the girl. Sorry not sorry.

First of all, I didn't give expectation when I was about to read this book, but couldn't help but be upset anyway.

I want to slap Lila Kate so bad just so I could knock some sense into her!! she is such a martyr for this Cruz guy. seriously, can this girl's standard in a man get any low! this girl is pathetic!

After reading this book and hating on Cruz, I realize that I am so tired of romance hero where their mind set is: "I'm so messed up, I don't deserve this girl, therefore I'm just gonna go fuck some other girls " seriously, is every jerk has same mechanism where they go whoring around since you know, they don't deserve to be love and they don't deserve the girl *rolling my eyes 360 degrees*

I keep on reading this Rosemary/Sea Breeze series of Abbi because I also want to visit again the previous characters I read and catch up what they're doing

But there is this scene of Rush and Grant where it kinda pissed me off

The ending of this book is so dumb

"..The old me was gone. The careless, selfish man I'd been was no longer there. I wanted to be goo enough for her.."

huh Cruz really.. even at the almost ending of this book, we get to read him being so easily turn on by other women so how could he easily say that the old him is gone!! he is all talk. I didn't even get to read any actions from him that would restore his past actions and moral (for sleeping with a married woman)

The characters need more development, there isn't much in here since this is a fast-paced story.. But I doubt it will restore Cruz in my eyes, seeing that he had sex with a married woman and had sex videos, thats a NO NO for me, I draw the line from there.

===>"Don't be like Lila. Dumbass"<===
I didn't like the hero.
He is a manwhore who never convinced me of the love for our heroine.
Just a woman winking at him that he's ready to fuck her. Emmeline Kipling is a whore! #justsaying
And his affair with an older woman and married is pretty gross. #Yuck!
I honestly I was hoping that the heroine created a backbone and pride and move on with Eli.
This story of a man sinking in sex with other women to forget the heroine is getting really old and tiring.
Until the end I kept hoping that Lila pick Eli. But unfortunately it didn't happen.

"Eli was Bliss’s best friend that was in love with her? Of all the guys at that bar, this had to be the one to approach me."
“How long you been in love with her? Your whole life? Since you were kids or once you got older?”

CRUZ
"Lila deserved romance. I didn’t do romance. I did ropes, and handcuffs, and strippers."
"When I’d had another girl pressed up against the wall of my condo last night, I’d had Lila Kate’s face in my head."

"They all knew I’d been on Cruz Kerrington’s bike and they all saw him completely ignore me."

"Nate had expected this. He knew Cruz as well as I did."

ELI!
“My heart’s ready, Lila. I’ll just be patient until yours is.”

CRUZ
"And other women’s vaginas weren’t working."
"The last girl I was with two nights before, I’d actually called her Lila. It hadn’t gone over well."

==>SLUT!Emmeline offered blowjob and a quickie.<==
"His stupid grin in my head as he winked at Emmeline Kipling."

YEP!MANWHORE!
“You have screwed most of my friends. And when I say most, that includes all of them. And now you’re sleeping with Lila Kate.”

Comparing this to the first book, I like this more and I partly buy the drama. At some point it went downhill for the following reasons:

- I don't get Lila Kate. She's a sheltered woman who craves for an adventure. For someone traveling alone, I'm bothered she trusts easily and her kind of adventure is reckless. Plus, she's indecisive and too insecure. Her mama didn't raise her to be like that.
- Cruz Kerrington. Woods & Della, I love you guys but your son is a fucking douchebag. 🙄🔪
- The drama on the last 20%. Gosh, that is TOO MUCH. I'm stressed out. I need a cold drink.

The only saving point of this book is Eli. I feel so bad for him and HE DESERVES A BETTER TREATMENT THAN THIS. 👺👺👺 I hope the next book is about him and his new love interest (third time is a charm!)

Final rate: 2.5 / 5 stars.

Why don't I learn? I keep giving this author a chance, but I've hated almost every book of hers that I've ever read. Tried this sample and it seemed so promising. Like a sucker I downloaded and dove right in. Sex with a hot guy that's amazing, but sadly he's too drunk to remember anything about it (he's in love with someone else already anyhow) and the girl is crushed. Perfect!!!

....But then there's the whole switch and bait.

Why do I keep doing this to myself?????

YEP. That about sums it up.

Ok - this was SO much better than the first book. There weren't as many Rosemary Beach & Seabreeze kids thrown in here and the proofreading was soo much better - still many typos and stuff, but it was a lot more overlookable ;)
I loved that we got lots of Grant and Woods etc.

It was a sexy, funny, moving, adorable & frustrating romance with a stupid love-triangle thingy :/ I hate those, but I knew who I wanted Lila to end up with ;)
I liked the story. I hope book #3 - whoever it will be about - will be even better.

I luv Lila so much.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The story is about Lila Kate Carter. I luvd her parents book it's one of my favourites from the Rosemary Beach series. So I knew I was goin to luv Lila Kate. Lila was goin through a point in her life where she didn't know what to do with herself. She was soft gentle didn't do anything wild she was just like her mum. That wasn't a bad thing she was the perfect girl. But after having a run in with one of close friends Cruz Kerrington told exactly what he thought of her she couldn't take it anymore. She's fed up of being labelled a sweet girl. She had to make so decided that would be out of her comfort zone but she could do it and show everything that she could be a lil wild.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Eli Hardy as luv the females around SeaBreeze for a long time. But he's actually fed up of them now and swore of woman for a while until he met the very beautiful Lila sat at the bar on her own. Well he thinks she's that perfect he may of drank a lil to much. But the next morning he can smell her and was hoping she was that beautiful. When he walked into Nate and Bliss's house and saw her he knew he wasn't dreaming but things didn't go the way he planned.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I was stuck into this book from the very start. I actually was a lil shocked with what happened. I didn't things would turn out the way they did and I wasn't sure if I was happy with the way things went but by the end it was perfect and I was so happy.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Lila Kate's character is so good but my heart went out to her. She had so many things the think about and decisions to make and they weren't easy ones to make. I luvd that she had her family there for her but the whole living a new life wasn't easy and when people started making things hard she wasn't sure if living a new life was the right decision.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

One thing I enjoyed about this book was that I got the see the characters from Rosemary Beach al grown up and there kids putting them through what they did to there parents it was so funny. I m so glad the author is doin this series there both one of my favourite series of al time so I m really enjoying it and excited for more.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I highly recommend this book it was just so good. The story and characters were brilliant. I can't wait for more of this series I just know it's goin to just get better and better.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

When I read this quote I just had to laugh it was just perfect.

“It’s about finding your own twisted perfection, letting yourself fall too far and taking a chance. If you’ve done all that. You have no reason to give up. Not now.”

3 Disappointed Stars!

When you grow up with series as romantic yet real like Sea Breeze and Rosemary Beach, you definitely have high expectations. But what happens when their kids ruin it all?

WARNING:This review is not professional, is not logical but is in fact a grievance of a dedicated fan.

When Rush met Blaire, Grant fell for Harlow, Cope loved Nan, Cage promised Eva forever, Marcus supported Willow and Amanda showed Preston how to love, I too let myself be readily whisked away into that world. A world that showed how love was meant to be. Something precious, something to be protected, not to be used as an excuse to change one's personality, their individuality.

And that's exactly what Lila did. A product of two people whose struggle to be themselves was a huge part of their story, Lila sure let Cruz Kerrington run the show.

What's wrong with having morals? What's wrong with loving books more than doing body shots in a club? What's wrong with wanting a fairytale romance? And what the hell is wrong in being proper?

Questions that the protagonist should've asked herself before jumping headlong into an "adventure" to change herself. Why you ask? Not because she needs to be independent or wants to see the world, no siree, it's because a guy like Cruz (who by the way is an asshole of the 1st order), called her "icy". Like the opinion of a hardcore fuckboy whose opinion of the girl he "loved" changed only when she decided to change into a short skirt, tube top and some fuck-me-heels.

Now you'd think the daughter of Harlow Manning Carter, somebody who oozed self-respect from every pore of her dainty and elegant body would've produced a daughter comfortable in her own skin. But noooo.... as soon as Cruz (to those who are confused by this new character and Lila's story even when the blurb proclaimed it to be HER'S AND ELI'S STORY, I am just as confused if not more.), after calling her an uptight icy girl, while trying to maul her in a drunken state, verbally acknowledged his "undying love" for her (most probably induced by the many whiskey body shots he'd done just a moment ago from between a stranger's boobs), she literally falls into his arms, vagina first.

And here she was just a few chapters ago, berating herself for having a crush on him and then taking a pledge to get over him......by changing for him. Yet she had the audacity to feel all hurt when Eli confessed he'd forgotten their night together. He literally showed more chivalry towards Lila, a complete stranger to him, than Cruz, her childhood sweetheart and current boyfriend.

Poor Eli, after being a gentleman as his best friend aka the girl he thought he loved, fell in love and subsequently got engaged, had to be a mere speedbreaker in the train wreck that was Lila's decision making capability. The fact that she led him on, even after he so gallantly said he would be there waiting for HER, what does she do?

You guessed it. Jumps right into the arms of a drunken fool like Cruz who apparently also has a Christian Grey-esque penchant for married old women and their lust for young meat. Crude, I know right? But that's Cruz Kerrington for you, a privileged, hurtful asshole of a player who can only treat Lila as a warm body, and for whom he will act as a douche so that her spineless self would come running back.

And that's only the 1st half.

I think it was somewhere between Cruz's disgusting bodyshots and Lila's "loving" blowjobs for him in A BOOK MEANT FOR HER AND ELI, that I just snapped and closed the book. Enough's enough. Eli deserves better, better than Lila's indecisive, inconsiderate self.

Being Lila's age myself, I get her wanderlust, the indomitable feeling to spread your wings, but to do it because a guy called you icy and unapproachable, even if he's if your biggest crush...is fucking wrong. And then letting yourself be played and alternately playing with another guy's feelings, is even worse, and that's the biggest mistake Lila could've done.

In this new age of diverse individuality, it was disappointing to read a much awaited book about a girl with so low self-esteem, that she let herself get swayed by the dramatic but all-too unrealistic promises of a guy who up until she began dressing "sexy", was ever ready to be a magnanimous asshole, because he thought she would "ruin" her...(save me the drama, can we get back to reality, Abbi? Pretty please!)

And the fact that homegirl Harlow and Grant raised a daughter like this, was even more unfathomable than the "qualities" that Lila said she saw in Cruz.

The only part which I truly loved and showed some emotion other than anger was Kiro's unwavering love for his Emily as she finally let go.

PS: Abbi can we get a break from the angsty, annoying love triangles? And can reading books and being proper be deemed cool again?

Love,
A heartbroken fan.

Me after reading the blurb one month ago:
Because of Low 2.0 WHY ELI WHYYY? why not one of Dewayne's sons or Preston's or someone better? Why ruin Lila Kate's story by making her the second price when she should be first, she's such a special person she deserves a better story a better partner. I was so excited when I find out that she was the next on getting her story but now I don't feel like I'm even going to read the story and that made me sad because I like her she's my favorite baby from all the Rosemary beach babies, I love abbi's books she's one of my favorite authors but this time she really let me down with this book.

Me after reading the book:
Abbi just made me swallow my own words, the book is nothing like I thought it would be, I was asking for a better person and she gave her that better person, that love triangle I never saw it coming, some people were disappointed with the blurb thinking that it was going be like Because of Low but Abbi shut everybody's mouth including mine with this book, Lila deserved a amazing book and she gave her nothing but the best. I can't wait to read the other books of the series.

Sigh :( I don't know what to think...first of all super misleading synopsis...the story felt rushed and I didn't connect with any of the characters. In all honesty, please Abbi stop writing about these kids. It's ruining my opinion of my most favourite characters from Sea Breeze and Rosemary Beach. If these are the kids they have raised, they have turned into really mediocre parents :/. I'd rather not know more about any of them. Done. Will treasure the other books forever though. Xxx

So I caved and read the book. Shouldn't have done it. Just awful. Cruz was a manwhore and he won't change, Lila just stupid and naive. Only thing good about this book is Eli and since this book was a flop he won't get a happy ending. Bullshit.

-------------

I dont think i will actually pick this book up, there is so many reviews saying how awful this is. I have enjoyed all other Abbi Glines so I dont want just one book to ruin all the greatness from before, i might start question myself. I may, maybe in the future try this book out but right now I have no desire to ruin one of my favourite authors with one bad book.

If this hadn't JUST been published, I could have sworn I'd read this Abbi Glines book before. She REALLY needs to mix it up a bit. And by mix it up, I don't mean throw in a bunch of plot points that don't go anywhere...

Oh and uh the understanding of how birth control works in this thing is, um, lacking...

4.25 Love Triangle Stars!

This story pulled me in a few different directions. I really liked Eli, and was rooting for him to be the game changer for, Lila Kate! I didn't like Cruz, and his aloof, playboy attitude. Without giving too much away, there was a big NASTY reason for Cruz being the way he was, for the most part! That reason, I could have clawed her eyes out...sight unseen! I would have liked to have seen way more justice to have played out, in that respect! I know that's pretty cryptic of me, but you'll see what I mean....

Anyway, I think I might be in the minority, as I really liked how this story played out. It was a refreshing departure, for Abbi Glines, in my opinion.
OK, with that said, now I NEED a HEA, for the guy that didn't get the girl!

2/5 Eli Hardy Deserves Better STARS

SPOILERT ALERT!

description

Personajes...

Eli FUCKING Hardy: DESERVES BETTER.

description
Tenias tu hombre perfecto y preferiste escoger al actor porno. Me dueles.

What the actual eff did I just read?!

I think this appropriately encapsulates my feelings of this book from beginning to end...

Damn... one thing I'll say is that this book was not as predictable as I thought it would be when I first dove in. Messy romance story ugh.

Lila Kate comes from a privileged background and after finally coming to terms that her long-time crush, Cruz, will never be part of the fairytale romance she dreamed of having, alike her parents, she decides to leave Rosemary Beach and embark on an adventure. The purpose of the adventure is for Lila Kate to break away from the labels of her being a prim&proper, icy person (many thanks to Cruz). On her first stop of her adventure at Sea Breeze, she meets drunk Eli and the two kinda hit it off. However, once Cruz catches wind that the rule-following Lila Kate he has always known has left for an adventure... well of course he goes chasing her and ensues much drama llama to follow.

This story went from okay, to hey it's actually getting a bit better, to WHAT THE ACTUAL FREAK

Sorry but I just could not buy into the romance bit between Lila and Cruz. She professes her love for him and says how he is so much more than what other people see him as, but it's all telling no showing- so readers never really get a chance to see for ourselves any of the qualities Lila stands by and loves??! Cruz was a pretty "meh" character, not very redeemable either. He does like the bare minimum and still everything is good in the hood. Some people just have it easy huh. Guess love just conquers all, psh.

Cruz seems to be some crappy tortured hero who believes he is no good for our heroine so pushes her away and has been an asshole to her in past and rahrahrah all his whoring around catches up to him and drama llama that resolves pretty quickly. Cruz also seems to be missing a few brain cells because of how stupid he comes off. Mate, when you're being confronted by an issue also someone who you realise is manipulative and all, you don't just brush it off and say 'oh well' and hope for the best. Ya idiot.

Sigh. Poor Eli, deserved so much more.

Last half of the book was pretty much...

SO. MUCH. RAGRETS

To say i’m disappointed, is an understatement. I am so so upset. Hate the hero, Lila Kate is annoying and i just can’t with this book. Ugh... i didn’t even finish the first book, i should’ve known that’s the first warning. I feel so bad for giving this book 1 star (believe me, no one is more sad about this than me) but that’s really how bad this book is. I love Abbi Glines, i really do, and Rosemary Beach is one of my favorite series, but this one is a pure mess. i probably won’t bother to read the next book in this series *sighs*

I've had time to dwell on my feelings since skim-finishing this book and I'm not too sure why these books are even being written. I felt like I had already read this book, mainly because I find Abbi's books in both the Seabreeze and Rosemary Beach worlds the exact same. Same type of characters, same story lines, etc.

I also think Abbi needs to educate herself on how birth control works because honey.

Oh, Honeeey!

Before I start, I really do love Abbi Glines and her works. She's an amazing author. I've read all of them so many times that I've lost count, and I was super excited when picking this up, but unfortunately, this has been one of my least favourites.

On my first viewing, I was excited because I was looking forward to Lila-Kate and Eli's love story, because that's what the blurb had led me to believe. It also made me sympathise for Eli too, and I thought it'd be sweet if he met the right girl during this period of his life.

But I was sorely disappointed. I don't mind Lila-Kate and Cruz as a couple - rather, I was actually rooting for them near the beginning but I had gotten my hopes up for Eli and Lila-Kate to become a couple because of the blurb.

Also, I'm rather disappointed in her characterisation. It was a complete 180 in only a few chapters. It would've been nicer to have her develop as a character as the book progresses. But I feel as if after joining Cruz, she just suddenly became a completely different person in only a matter of chapters.

Usually, I'm up for this kind of love story (the playboy and the proper girl) but I just wasn't enjoying it properly this time.

Also, my heart goes out to Eli on so many levels. I really need his story ASAP

I hate it that I have to rate so low a book of one of my favorite authors but I think this series just doesn't work for me. I don't want to give any spoilers so I will be short: One of the worst love-triangle romances I've ever read and the drama in this story went from bad to worse. The only good thing about this book was Abbi Glines' writing, which I enjoyed very much.

Él no aprende.
