Lorelei Moone is an author of paranormal romance based in London. A lover of all things sweet and caffeinated, when she's not writing about sexy bear shifters and their strong-willed curvaceous love interests, Lorelei can be found baking cookies or cakes for her family.

It had the potential to be really good but a few things prevented it. It was entertaining enough but the story and plot lacked big time! The best thing about this novella was the narrator. Off to listen to the next one , I hope that turns out better than this one!
Wow, that is one ugly cover. sheesh. Anyways, Aiden finds his love Heidi when he least wanted to. Heidi isn't too thrilled either seeing as how he's a bear and she's a wolf. Seems that not only are there racists like the Sons of Domnall (the skinheads dedicated to the genocide of shifters), but there are prejudices between shifters themselves. Both Aiden and Heidi work for the Alliance, a group of shifters created to oppose the SofD. Heidi is the new recruit for the Alliance and she kicks ass! Aiden's brother Derrick from book 1 shows up briefly which was sweet. This was OK. Honestly, I was kind bored and found the story jumped around unexpectedly. So not as good as the first book, IMHO but I do plan to read the next one anyways. This is a very low key series. I mean, low stress and no angst. No OW or OM and very short. Listened to on audio and the whole series is read by Patrick Blackthorn who is pretty good.
Heidi.”

REVIEW
We met Aidan briefly in book one in this series. Aidan works for the Alliance, which is a group of various species working together to keep all safe. Well they have come across of humans who are working together to destroy all shape shifters and Aidan knows they have to stop them. But a little pretty thing might stand in his way. Heidi is the daughter to an Alpha and she has been sent to join in with the Alliance on this mission. When Heidi meets Aidan, she immediately knows who he is but she is not sure she understands. He isn't one of her kind and she has no idea what to do about it? Can Aidan show Heidi that they are to be one regardless? The fates choose whom they want.
But can Aidan keep Heidi safe while they figure each other out? His brother Derek may be able to give him some advice since he just took a human as a mate.
I enjoyed this book and love this authors writing style also.
I was gifted a copy of this book for my honest review. Lorelei Moone
This was a quick read. It's what happens when two stubborn people mate. Heidi and Aidan's instant chemistry was very strong. I do like that there is another story going on within the series. It makes it a little more intriguing. If you like hot wearbears then you are sure to love this. I received this book from IndieSage PR in exchange for an honest review.
This was a cute read with danger, a little mystery, love story that is a little different but blends very well. The characters were interesting with cross breeding and how they deal with it. We learn more about Aidan and what happened to his parents. Here is where The Sons of Domnall, come into the story they are a secret society of humans sworn to destroy all shapeshifters.
Heidi is a very sweet wonderful character that won’t back down from a fight. When she and Aidan first me sparks fly. The pull is strong but neither is willing to give an inch. Both are very surprised to find they are not the same kind of shifter. This is a nice romance but pretty clean and very sexy. I enjoyed it.
We meet Jamie he is the star in the next book. We learn a little about him with is a great starting to the next book in the series. It is a short sweet read the author does a wonderful job of keeping your attention with a very good story line. The ending was good and leads right into the next book in this series.
Mr. Blackthorne’s narration was very good with interesting character voices that blends well with the story. His male voices are just as good as his female’s one. You always know who is talking and what their emotions are. The volume is the same throughout there are no places where it changes. There are no background noises this is a very clear and clean audio. Mr. Blackthorne has a very nice voice his normal voice is just as great as his characters ones. I have to say for a man he does a very lovely female voice. His voice did pull me in making me feel comfortable and right at home. I had no trouble picturing when Clarice first sees the bear and feeling her emotions. The author does an outstanding job with the passionate scenes really giving the first night of love true emotions. I haven’t had the pleasure of listening to his work but to look forward to listening to more of it.
This is the second book in this series and they should be read in order. Aiden (Derek’s brother) is part of a group called the Alliance on a mission to stop a group called the Sons of Domnall. The Sons of Domnall want to get rid of shifters. Aiden is part of a team in Edinburgh where they have found a cell for the Sons of Domnall. Aiden must figure out how to infiltrate them. Heidi is also a part of the team. She is a new member and a wolf. She knows Aiden is her mate from the moment she sees him. Wolves and Bears tend to not get along. Why would fate let her mate be a bear when they don’t get along. When Aiden takes off for a few days on a family emergency she knows right away that he isn’t telling the complete truth. Aiden is keeping a secret and working on his own investigation separate from the Alliance. Aiden has his secrets but doesn’t everyone. He knows that Heidi is his mate and he will share where went when he gets back. While Aiden is away Heidi finds an in with the group Sons of Domnall through a message board. When Aiden gets back and Heidi isn’t there he knows something has gone wrong. Will he be able to find Heidi or will he miss out on his chance to have a mate before he ever really got it? This book was another short read. I like how even though each book can be read as a standalone they do cross over into a bigger story overall. Derek and Heidi have a bit of a snag as well because they are different species. Not quite the same issue his brother had but still not always accepted. Heidi realizes that everything she has heard about bears may not be true. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
We met Aidan in the first book which focused on his brother's romance, and here we not only see Aidan meet his true mate but we also get fully immersed in the mystery and suspense of the criminal threat against the shifters in Scotland. Heidi is completely caught off-guard by her attraction to Aidan and isn't sure what to do about the unusual and possibly taboo nature of their true mate pairing. Aidan is content to let her figure things out in her own time while he pursues the truth behind his parents' deaths years ago.
This story had a lot more action than the previous book, and it was extremely well done. Their romance was perfectly interspersed with the action scenes and the ending was victorious as well as heartwarming. I just love the connection the two lovers have and how it enables them to work together so beautifully. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Heidi is a werewolf who is going undercover into the group that is out to destroy all weres. This book is a continuation of the first book. The brother of the werebear is the fated mate but also the partner of the werewolf facing danger by being forced to join the group out to kill them. Will Aiden be able to save his partner/mate without getting them both killed and revealing what they really are?
Intriguing story of werefolk working together to unmask and disarm a group of skinheads dedicated to eliminating shifters. All this is complicated for a long term member who discovers that he has been fated to be mated to the newest member and that she is a werewolf and he is a werebear. Good story and interesting characters. Patrick Blackthorne is excellent as Aiden's narrator.
Short story packed with suspense and intrigue. Loved the slow angst and fate sealed union. They tried to fight it not even realizing they were on different sides of the same fight. A wolf and a bear fighting against hunters together. Loved how he road into save the day. But she was able to kick ass. Hope we find out who ‘Jamie’ really is.

Read this book a couple years ago. Just finished re-reading it. Just as fantastic as the first time I read it. I am reading the books in order, again, as the author suggests. Love this addition to the story, and can’t wait to re-read the next book!! Loved it!!
She was sent to help out for a cause, what she found was her mate. They weren’t supposed to find that connection but fate had other ideas. Then fighting a group out to destroy them becomes dangerous. Narration was awesome.
Not as ridiculous in narration and plot as the first one, but here, the was actually a - sort of - plot and some order to the narration. The sex scene still sounded as if someone tried to put some emotion into a textbook description of the act. Still too short to call it a proper story.
A Dangerous Business (Scottish Werebear #2) by Lorelei Moone – If you like fated mates and secret societies, then you will enjoy this novella! Happy Reading!
Suspicions confirmed...these weren't meant to be shorts. Decent couple, ok romance, solid writing but it had too much going on to make it this short. If you're going to write something this short you need all the space for the romance and the drama needs to be at the minimum. especially annoying was the heroines reference to what she'd learned about hero "in the time she'd known him" they literally only spent one day together! tldr: not bad but not developed enough to realize it's potential
-- MY THOUGHTS > ** Provided by Author in Exchange for an Honest Review **
Judging a Book by it's Cover: Staying with the same great colors from book 1, an equally adorable bear sits in the background while the male model is in front with a bare torso and tattoos. Looking Deeper: Third person POV. Novella > under 100 pages. Can stand alone, but it would be better to read in order. It's been 15 years since his parents died and Aiden is still searching for the answers that tie their death to the Sons of Domnall, now as a member of the Alliance. The Rannock Alpha has sent Heidi, his own daughter, to be the wolf representative for the Alliance, to watch and insure balance for all shifter species. Neither Aiden nor Heidi ever expected to find their mate in their Alliance partner. Both lead characters are strong and mostly smart. The secondary characters include Derek and Clarice (book 1) as well as a few new ones. The chemistry is instantaneous, although they both try to avoid it at first. Dialogue is very good, so it character interaction. The plot felt more like a serial episode that a complete story. There are many loose ends and open possibilities in every direction. Flow is very smooth and easy to read. The conflict is not easy to ignore, but somehow it is avoided as a non-issue. HEA is implied, but never seen through yet. Already, ADB is leading the reader into AFL. This one just did not feel as complete as AUA, and the serial aspect to the ending is much more pronounced in this one, leading to some disappointment. I'd recommend this series to those love smart and well thought out shifters, BUT I'd suggest you wait until the series is released in it's entirety to read as one full-length novel instead of several micro-novellas. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rating: 3 [PG-13] ~ Score: 3.8 ~ Stars: 4 -------------------------------------------------------------------------
-In The End It's Always Us Against Them Heidi a wolf shifter was chosen as their packs representative to the Alliance by her pack alpha, who also happened to be her father. She knew it was a great honor, but always thought one of the young males would've been chosen instead of her. *Who could be more reliable than Heidi herself? She'd learned at an early age that if you wanted something done right, you had to do it yourself.(*direct book quote) She had led a pretty sheltered life as the daughter of the packs alpha, but that didn't mean she was a push over. She could stand up for herself and had against many of the males her age within the pack. Now the outside world? That's a whole different scenario, especially when the very first person she comes in contact with is her mate. Aiden a bear shifter has is own agenda while working with the Alliance, who are hunting the Sons of Domnall, a secret society of humans sworn to destroy all shifters. He agrees with what they stand for, but he needs to find out what happened to his parents. He wasn't keen on the idea of them bringing in someone new, but as soon as he opened the door to her he knew she was his mate. He never thought there'd be anyone out there for him. What happens when they both find out what the other person is under their skin? Will they allow fate to pull them together or fight it since bears and wolves do not get along? You'll have to read Scottish Werebears: A Dangerous Business to find out, but it'll be worth the time you take to read it. I cannot wait to read Book 3 Scottish Werebears: A Forbidden Love to see what happens next. Each of these novellas are a quick read and could be read as a standalone HEA, but I recommend reading the complete series in order to get the little tidbits of background information on everything. I received an ARC copy via IndieSage in exchange for a blog tour review. Due to sexual content this novel is recommended for readers 17 and older!
Still enjoying the narrator....he does a good job with the characters. This was the follow up to Derek, as a story for his brother Aiden. I loved that again the author faced the idea of "cross breeding" in that Fate has given this brother a wolf as his mate. It's a short book but long enough to keep you happy. Sexy without being smutty, suspenseful and mysterious while still being a romance. That mystery at the end of the epilogue has me dying to tune into the third installment to learn more about Jamie as soon as I hit save on this review
Aidan McMillan is bear shifter that lost his parents to a tragic accident fifteen years ago. Aidan's goal is to take down The Sons of Domnall at any price for The Alliance. Heidi Blackwood, is a wolf shifter, who is going to work for The Alliance as part of the truce established between wolf and bear. Heidi's reaction to Aidan surprises and disturbs her because she's never felt anything like this before. Heidi gets invited to a meeting with suspected Sons of Domnall members. Aidan stumbles upon two familiar looking men which leads to a trip to Isle of Skye. Aidan is confronted with an unexpected surprise. Can Aidan find what he's looking for? Will Heidi be successful? Will either Aidan or Heidi admit their feelings for one another? Your answers await you in A Dangerous Business.
This follow up to An Unexpected Affair is just as action packed and intriguing. The characters and story are flawed, compelling, real, honest, raw, and unusual too. The author definitely has found her voice within this series. Looking forward to the next book in this series.
