This is one of the best anthology I have ever had the benefit of reading. This collection of authors was some of the best in the field and they do not disappoint. This is some of the best fairy tales retold and let me say they did an awesome job putting a twist on already great stories. All of the authors did an amazing job and my favorite has to be Ripples by Aletha Roming, In a Strangers Bed by Sophia Jordan, and Bedtime Story by Skye Warren and that’s just a few because every story offered something different. I loved how each story took a classic reworked it and made it fresh, modern, and enjoyable. This a must-read book that must be read because it makes you fall in love with fairy tales all over again. This is just one of those books that will make you want longer stories and just more from a favorite author.

KNOT by Lili Saint Germain

Fairy Tale this is soooo not!! If anybody can take a somewhat twisted fairy tale to begin with and contort it to the mind blowing, sexual undertone, dark prince rescuing a sheltered princess in a gangster world, it would be her.

Lili definitely brings her A game in this Rapunzel plot twist. And along for the ride she brought familiar faces I can't wait to read more about.

Xavier and Seraphina have already wormed their way into my heart and that was but a mere taste of their contorted love story.

You are dubbed the Queen of Mind F*ckery for a reason...a title well deserved. Even more so after this delicious nugget of mayhem.

Glamour is a collection of novellas by bestselling authors that are all contemporary fairytale retellings. I was lucky enough to read Music Box Girl by Sierra Simone.

This Twelve Dancing Princesses retelling was absolutely scorching, set the house on fire, HOT!

description

There is a little bit of everything in this taboo novella, which centers around 39 year old ex-soldier turned private investigator, Cal, and 19 year old ballerina, Tamsin. The story is told from both of their points of view and starts with Cal being hired by Tamsin's father to find out where the ballerinas are going every night. Let's just say they aren't spending the night watching Netflix ;) In addition to Tamsin and Cal, we also meet the eleven other ballerinas who don't mind sharing and want to express their extreme gratitude to Cal... repeatedly. Ruining 12 pairs of pointe shoes has never been so fun!

description

This was a super steamy and fun read by Sierra Simone with, you guessed it, a happy ending! Don't miss this hot collection of fairytale retellings!

KNOT by Lili St. Germain

As always, Lili blows me away and pulls me in with her writing and story telling. An epic retelling of Rapunzel, with a naughty twist. Seraphina breaks my heart with her reactions and her childlike behavior Xavier is a dark chocolate naughty angel. I can't wait to have the rest of their story. I was hooked from the very first page!

FAIRYTALE WITH A KINK

Glamour is an anthology of 8 hot fairytales, not like the ones your Mama read to you, just so much better! Each one is written by one of my favourite authors, each one different, but all of them so hot and sexy. It is impossible to choose a favourite because they are all amazing! You have to read these fairytales, but be warned, keep your hubby close ladies, you'll need him😜😜
I received an ARC.

IN A STRANGER'S BED by Sophie Jordan
Rating: 5 Stars

I would like to thank Sophie Jordan for providing me with a copy of In A Stranger's Bed a short story from Glamour, for an honest review.

In A Stranger's Bed is a fantastic twist on Goldilocks. The setting is set in the Scotland countryside which provides a fantastic backdrop. Niall is the perfect grumpy, yummy Scottish big-bear. Considering this is a short-story I thought it was really well done and had a lot of content. This definitely has a lot of steamy-heat and chemistry! I would recommend this novella and can't wait to read the other stories in this book.

I read an ARC of Music Box Girl. I love when authors get the erotic spin of fairytale remakes right. Music Box Girl may be Sierra's most depraved story yet, and I am definitely here for every word. Her writing is so skilled. The kink almost poetic in how it flows into the storyline and the characters' development.

There were a couple of aspects of this story I'd never read about before, but they didn't turn me off in the least. Quite the contrary actually.

For a short, it packs a punch of both emotion and filth. Kudos as always.

Leaving a review for ROYAL MATRESS by Nicola Rendell

This is a retelling of a beautiful fairytale , A Princess and The Pea. I thoroughly enjoyed the story of Lisa and Dave, and Grandma! I adored Dave! He's a gentleman with a naughty streak. He didn't care for royal bloodlines but he put his Royal Mattress to good use. Grandma was delightful!

I enjoyed this story so much that I'm excited to jump ahead and read all the stories in this book !

I have read an advanced copy of this book and this is a fair and honest review and recommendation voluntarily shared.

P.S.
I have read an arc of one story but I purchased the book and finally completed reading all the stories under this wonderful anthology! It was so much fun reading sexy love story versions of fairy tales I devoured when I was a child. This book anthology was complete collection of tropes - from light, to dark, to angsty , to laugh out loud , and everything in between. I was a bundle of various emotions after reading all seven books but I absolutely loved it!

Ripple: The prince and the pauper was a delicious surprise written by Aleatha Romig! Short and sexy and vivid. Natalie is headed out of the country for Christmas holiday with her family. Dexter decides to intercept her and make her his.

This was amazing. I have always said Aleatha could write a phone book and I would read it. At first I despised Dexter but then through Ms Romigs magic story telling I adored him. Natalie became a strong heroine with a power she had no idea she possessed.

I would love to see more of how their relationship progressed and how Natalie's family accepts it. 5++

I read an advance copy of Music Box Girl, by Sierra Simone, and if the other stories are anything like it, I can't wait to read the entire collection. I can only describe Music Box Girl as gracefully dirty. Like the lithe ballerinas who spin and twirl throughout this story, Sierra Simone's words weave a story that had me transfixed. Beautiful and depraved, this reimagined twist on a fairy tale left my body and mind humming with curiosity and satisfaction. I love the idea of these modernized short stories and I'm sure the rest will leave me just as riveted and aching as Music Box Girl did.

Well...I am a fairytale girl... This is a perfect book for me.
Since there are so many favourite authors in this book with different style stories, I have decided to write my thoughts about each one of them and rate them separately. Most of the stories are really dark, but let's not forget that the original fairy tales were also dark and with ambiguous endings before they became cartons and were filled with pink colours and rainbows.

1. Music Box Girl (based on the 12 Dancing Princesses) by Sierra Simone
3 stars

Lots of BDSM elements in this book, a Ballet school with a very strict owner, 12 naughty teenager ballet dancers - especially the owner's daughter, one forbidden BDSM club, one ex military and currently private investigator.

"You come like you dance."
"How is that?" she said, burying her face in the strong curve of his neck.
"Like magic."

I would like more character development and less sex in this story. But I understand that it is short, so not much space available to develop.

2. Bedtime story (based on The Sleeping Beauty) by Skye Warren
5 stars

Jessica drives away from the horrible father of her child before he finds her and takes the infant away.
Before she sleeps at the wheel, the local sheriff stops her and orders her to sleep at the local prison in order not to cause an accident and hurt herself and her baby. Scared and desperate Jessica follows sheriff Finn. Finn may not be Prince Charming, but he will give her a kiss and wake her up.

I need to touch and be touched, to know that my worth isn't down the drain alongside the rest of my sad little life in Tanglewood. But I can't bother him with that. He's my jailer and my caretaker, not my lover. He doesn't need to be bothered with this, with me.
He catches my wrist as I move to leave, so quick I can only gasp.
"Stay," he murmurs.

If you have read 'The King' by the same author, you will probably remember Penny's friend, Jessica and the only love of her life i.e. her son Ky.
I was pleasantly surprised with the beginning of her love story with Fynn. This is one of the nicest adaptations that I have read on the fairytale of sleeping beauty.
I really hope that this the prologue of another great full-length book by the author.

3. Ripples (based on A Prince and a Pauper) by Aleatha Romig
4 stars

On her way to France, in order to meet her family, Natalie is kidnapped by a handsome, ruthless stranger. She ends up as his prisoner in German (or maybe Austria, who knows?) trying to understand what is going on and why this thing has happened to her.
Dexter is not after her family's money and he will try to convince her (by torturing and rewarding her) that she belongs to him.

The bigger the sacrifice, the greater the reward.
While sometimes it felt otherwise, everything was also Natalie's choice. She could opt not to give the price Dexter determined. That too would be met by consequences. Which did she want: the reward or the punishment? In all things, the final decision was hers.

Fans of 'Consequences' will cry tears of happiness when they discover this short story.
If you have missed Claire and Tony and their twisted fairytale, this book is for you.
I wish this was a longer, more complete story and I wish Natalie had resisted a bit and fought more before she surrendered. Maybe it can be developed into a full story.

4. Royal Matress (based on the Princess and the Pea) by Nicola Rendell
3 stars

Lisa is lost in the snow during a freezing cold night. Ivan Alexander Hallsett Ratislav Stefanik IV or Dave for friends finds her almost frozen on the steps of his estate.
He really likes her, but is she trully a perfect bride for him? His grandmother insists that he has to marry someone royal. Not that he cares.

The thing was, I had an old-fashioned belief in the one. I really believed, in my gut, that somewhere out there, there was a woman who needed me as much as I needed her. I really thought that when I met her, I'd know. I believed we would be two parts of a whole. I once knew a guy from Mexico who said that down there they say 'two halves of the same orange'.

The story has a lot of matresses and a few peas. And a really crazy grandmother. Overall a really cute, somewhat funny story.

5. In a stranger's bed (based on Gordilocks) by Sophie Jordan
5 stars

An American tourist is left behind somewhere in the Highlands, while she was touring with a bus. She finds selter in an isolated but warm home. Instead of fairies, she discovers a very grumpy Scotish shepherd.
Unfortunately she has already used his shower, has eaten his stew, has worn his shirt and has slept on his couch -without asking him.
Fortunately there is a strong sexual attraction between them and before the night is through naughty things will happen between the two strangers.

"What's you name again, Gordilocks?"
That gave her a start. She was about to have sex with a man and they didn't know each other's names? It should shame her, but nothing about this moment felt wrong. She was on fire.
"Thea," she breathed.
"Niall, " he returned.

I loved this story. It was funny with a great balance of smut scenes.
If you are Greek you will probably remember the movie "Koritsia ston ilio" (ie. "Girls under the sun") with the great punchline "Stasou! Migdala" (ie."Stop! Here are some almonds for you"). This story kind of reminded me this movie where a tourist has a fling with a rough, greek shepherd in a greek island during her summer holidays. Not exactly the same story, but similar idea hahaha.

6. Broken Harp (based on Jack and the Beanstalk) by Nora Flite
2 stars

"I'll remind you with a story. One that begins with a cruel giant taking advantage of a small boy."

A very very loose adaptation of the known fairytale.

7. Red Hot Pursuit (based on Little Red Riding Hood) by AN Jackson
2 stars

But her lips. Fuck, those lips. They were red and full and delicious, so goddamned appealing that I had the urge to walk across the room and demand a taste.

I think that the most difficult job for an author is to adapt successfully the Little Red Riding Hood story. That's because it must be the most used fairytale.
It has been told in so many different ways, in so many different styles and by so many different authors that it is really hard to create something unique. I am not sure about this adaptation.

8. Knot (based on Rapunzel) by Lili St Germain
4 stars

He is not my father, but he is like a father to me, sometimes. And other times, like now, he is my lover.

This is an almost perfect sick and twisted love story. More to come in a new series by the author at the end of 2017.

A review of Ripples: A Prince and a Pauper story by Aleatha Romig

Recently, I read a rom-com by Aleatha Romig and with the cover of this anthology and the fact that it was a HEA fairytale book, I thought I would be getting more of that. Boy, was I in for a shock. Romig goes back to her roots with this suspenseful and deceitful tale. Sure there is romance and steam, but it’s twisty and shocked me a bit.

I don't want to say too much, because I don't want to ruin the twist for anyone... I enjoyed Dexter and Natalie’s story. I only wish we would have gotten more!

5 Stars!

How can you not give 5 stars to this amazing line-up of novellas from this amazing line up of authors! These stories are not your normal fairytale and there is something for everyone! My favorite is Bedtime Story by Skye Warren, which is a modern retelling of the Sleeping Beauty story. In her amazing Skye Warren way, she brings the story to life in the most unexpected of ways!

This is a must to add to your collection!

➦I've picked this anthology up because I love Sierra Simone and I'll pick up any book she releases. There are some authors in this little set that I have never read before and I was pleased to be able to read little samples of their writing.

➦So what will you get here? 8 novellas, all pretty short but some a bit lengthier than others. Modern re-tellings of fairytales about naughty ballerinas, damsels in distress seeking refuge, captives needing rescue and more. Some of these stories are your standard contemporary reads or romantic comedies, some are more erotic and taboo, there's even a couple of darker ones for lovers of all things twisted.

➦My favorite novella in this set is a re-telling of a Goldilocks story. It follows a pretty straightforward formula for a contemporary romance read but it has a perfect balance of humor, steam and angst. It was also the story that gave me the most feels. A hot broody Scottish hero might have had something to do with it. lol

➦There are a couple of stories with a captivity theme, which is generally not my cuppa. One of them I liked (RIPPLES) and one I had to drop (KNOT) after the epilogue because it was a bit too graphic for my taste. I'm generally not a big reader of crime books and this was not for me. I'm sure a lot of lovers of dark romance will enjoy it just fine though. I recommend this anthology if you are looking for short reads from various romance genres.

My ratings for each novella individually:

MUSIC BOX GIRL by Sierra Simone (A Twelve Dancing Princesses story) 4 stars

BEDTIME STORY by Skye Warren (A Sleeping Beauty story) 3 stars

RIPPLES by Aleatha Romig (A Prince and the Pauper story) 3 stars

ROYAL MATTRESS by Nicola Rendell (A Princess and the Pea story) 4 stars

IN A STRANGER'S BED by Sophie Jordan (A Goldilocks story) 5 stars

BROKEN HARP by Nora Flite (A Jack and the Beanstalk story) 3 stars

RED HOT PURSUIT by A.L. Jackson (A Little Red Riding Hood story) - 4 stars

KNOT by Lili St. Germain (A Rapunzel story) - DNF

This is definitely NOT your childhood fairytales! But this anthology is SOOOO HOT, STEAMY, and a great read of these author’s retelling of a childhood fairytale! Each author’s story is crazy, addicting good! This has to be the steamiest anthology of novellas that I have read AND they are not cheesy by any means.

Sierra Simone – I read everything that she writes. The Music Box scandalous at a whole new flexible level for a ballerina with messy shoes… Stay with me, Stay with me…

Skye Warren – Another author that I have devoured almost everything that she has written. Skye Warren has mastered the heroine fleeing a troubled past that typically includes a mafia/gangster looming in the distance and this story has me needing to reread The King!

Althea Romig – I loved her Infidelity Series and this short story is filled with romantic suspense! I am still reeling over what happened on this plane ride?!?!?

Nicola Rendell – Her version of The Princess & the Pea is probably my favorite! I can’t get over the ending it was just too perfect and now I need to go check our her books because this is the first one that I have read of hers.

Sophie Jordan – Takes us to the Ireland countryside and it DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! What a perfect Goldilocks rendition!

Nora Flite – Broken Harp is SOOOO good I devoured this novella of Jack and the Beanstalk! This “little wicked romp” (Nora Flite’s description) needs a longer story for Jack & Harper.

A.L. Jackson – WOW! Red Hot Pursuit definitely lives up to its name in the retelling of Red Riding Hood!!! Mr. Wolfe and Ms. Red as fighting over a building tower is steamily perfect!!!

Lili St Germain – Who can pass up A Rapunzel Story, not me!

All in all, this anthology is definitely 5 crowned fairytale stars that is seriously hot and steamy! If you love a fairytale retellings with plenty of smut added in, then go pick up this book! I loved experiencing new to me authors and will be adding these author’s books to my TBR ASAP!!!

This was SUCH a fun collection of dark, twisted, grown up fairy tales! These authors just blew me away with their short stories, that were written so well they didn't feel like short stories!
I loved reading Aleatha Romig's story. That was one messed up fairy tale! LOL. I love the dark, dubious consent stories and this one did not disappoint! Sierra Simone also wrote a great, really dirty take on the 12 princesses. Bedtime Story by Skye Warren was both sweet & sexy. You won't be disappointed in this, it has a story for everyone!

descriptionI like this cover. It's pretty simple but works well with the overall theme of the book. It has good composition and some unique and eye catching typography.description

A collection of eight exclusive never-before-seen novellas that take the fairytales of our youth and spin them into somthing new...

descriptionThe Music Box Girl By Sierra Simone -- 2 Stars
Holy Sh!t was this one hot! Well written and nicely paced, No OW/OM drama, but it isn't safe if you have a problem with the hero having a gang bang with 11 OW plus the heroine. Everyone was on board with it though, so c'est la vie I guess. That said, I was OK with it being a one-time thing, but when I read he continued to fuck all of them for two more months I lost the positive feelings I had for the story.

descriptionBedtime Story By Skye Warren -- 3.5 Stars
I enjoyed this one. It was sweet with no OW/OM drama or angst. As well as no sex. It ended a bit abruptly though. This couple was introduced in THE KING by this author, so maybe we will get a full-length book about them at some point.

descriptionRipples By Aleatha Romig -- 4.5 Stars
I LOVED this one. Well written and paced. It was dark and twisted and sexy. No OW/OM drama. My only complaint is I wish it had been a full-length book.

description

descriptionRoyal Mattress By Nicole Rendell -- 4.5 Stars
Another great addition to this collection. This one was super cute and funny. I LOVED grandma. It was well written and paced. Now OW/OM drama. A couple of hot sex scenes and two very likable main characters. But again my only complaint is it ended rather abruptly, and I wanted to read more about this couple.

descriptionIn A Stranger's Bed By Sophia Jordan -- 5 Stars
This one was my favorite of the group. Well written. Smokin hot. Two likable characters. No OW/OM drama, though the hero has a dead wife and child, but not too much is said about that. AND it even has an epilogue.

descriptionBroken Harp By Nora Flite -- 3 Stars
This one was OK. I enjoyed the writing, and the plot was interesting, but I found it all a little underdeveloped. Especially with the hero and things were wrapped up a bit too conveniently.

descriptionRed Hot Pursuit By AL Jackson -- 5 Stars
This was my second favorite of the collection. Well written and paced. No OW/OM drama. A nice bit of angst. Some good back and forth dialogue. Some hot sex scenes and two very likable main characters.

descriptionKnot By Lili St Germain -- 4.5 Stars
Another fantastic read. This one was gritty and twisted. It basically was just an introduction to an upcoming series which I most definitely will be checking out.

Wow! Am I glad I bought this book! Wonderful authors got together and shared with us these little gems of stories and I love them!

These are all terrific novellas in the unique styles that have made these authors favorites for all readers.

For instance, Skye Warren's Bedtime Story will grip your heart and not let it go. This encounter between a small town sheriff and our runaway mother will tug at your emotions. I want to read more about them. There is danger following this young single mother and this sheriff is just the knight in shining armor this fairytale asks for.

Aleatha Romig's Ripples has echoes of her Consequences series. In her unique style, she weaves a story that will have you at the edge of your seats. Have you been Aleatha'd yet?

All the stories are superb. Best anthology this year!

I am voluntarily reviewing this book. I thank the authors for sharing a copy of this book with me.

KNOT by Lili St. Germain
A Rapunzel story
-1.5 star rating. Didn't like the ending of story.

RED HOT PURSUIT by A.L. Jackson
A Little Red Riding Hood story
-Storyline is boring. I didn’t like the whole I hate this guy because of his e-mails. Didn’t like lily’s character.

RIPPLES by Aleatha Romig
A Prince and the Pauper story
-Liked the authors note. I didn’t like Dexter’s character. This book was the case of don’t take drinks from strangers. This book/story was more of a horror movie than a romance. The thoughts that went through my mind while reading this were that the book vaguely reminded me about the kidnapping in Germany were the victim would be imprisoned for several + years. I think Natalie had a case of Stockholm syndrome. I hated reading this; I was uncomfortable and everything was just wrong. 1 stars. If you like to read that kinda stuff though i think you'll love this. It just wasn't for me.

IN A STRANGER'S BED by Sophie Jordan
A Goldilocks story
-I liked the twist on the fairytale. This read had humor and I liked the plot. I enjoyed reading this. I liked the intensity between the couple. Has an epilogue. 4 star rating.

BEDTIME STORY by Skye Warren
A Sleeping Beauty story
-Liked the mafia twist on the story. Loved the sentences in between the chapter number and the P.O.V. person’s name. I liked the characters and the plot. The single mother aspect was a nice touch. But the ending didn’t feel fully resolved. 3.5 star rating.

ROYAL MATTRESS by Nicola Rendell
A Princess and the Pea story
-A prince who goes by Dave, is from New Jersey, and sells mattresses? I did really like his grandmother’s character. She added that perfect amount of humor. Loved the in a storm find home shelter plot. Liked Lisa’s character. This book was short, sweet, and a light read. I’m rating this book/story 3.5 star.

MUSIC BOX GIRL by Sierra Simone
A Twelve Dancing Princesses story
-I liked Tasmin. Had a 20 year age between couple gap. No substance, not a good twist on the original fairy tale. This story/book is all lust no love. 1 star rating.

BROKEN HARP by Nora Flite
A Jack and the Beanstalk story
-Very loosely based on the original fairy tale. Average read. 2.5 star rating.

OVERALL RATING AND THOUGHTS:
I wouldn’t really call this compilation book, fairy tale retelling's. And I say that because most things that make a fairy tale a fairy tale were taken out. The story's/books in this compilation were either i liked it or i really didn't like it. Overall rating is 2.75 stars.

I had intended to choose a story to review and go from there, but I found it impossible to choose just one. Sorry not sorry. While a couple of the stories weren't my particular cup of tea, I can guarantee that many people will absolutely love them just the same. However, stories such as Royal Mattress by Nicola Rendall and Knot by Lili St Germain were right up my alley. One was a sweet romcom while the other was a dark read leading up to a new series. And yet they were equally satisfying.

Each story had its own varying degree of steam, character development and plot. A few of the authors were new-to-me, such as Sierra Simone, and I'm thrilled that I got the chance to sample their writing and story-telling style. Honestly, this book was the best of two worlds: an ANTHOLOGY chock-full of fairytale RE-TELLINGS! How can you really go wrong?

Genre: A range from Contemporary, RomCom, Erotica and Dark Romance

Review of RIPPLES by Aleatha Romig

3.75 the princess becomes the queen stars

"Tell me, kind sir, are you my fairy godmother, or should I say father? Are you here to grant my wishes?"

Be careful for what you wish for...because it could turn into your worst nightmare or greatest pleasure. It all depends on you, and how you come to terms with the realty of your life. Do you embrace it and welcome it with open arms, or do you fight it and take the consequences. Only you are capable of making yourself the victim.
Which did she want: the reward or the punishment? In all things, the final decision was hers.

Ripples by Aleatha Romig, is A Prince and the Pauper story with a twist. This fairy tale is retold through the wicked mind of Mrs. Romig. I went in blind, having no idea what to expect so I felt my way and had my jaw drop a couple times trying to come to terms with this twisted fairly tale. While it's kept on the contemporary side. the mind games are fierce and plenty, making you question your own sanity. It was awesome, I wanted more like the greedy witch that I am, wishing more time to develop and spend with Nat and Dexter. Shorite but a goodie!

Review of Ripples: A Prince and a Pauper story by Aleatha Romig

Dark, twisted and oh so very Aleatha Romig!!! Yeah, don’t let this book cover of this anthology fool you because it may look so nice and pretty but Aleatha’s novella is the one that will make you beg for more. I really enjoyed this one and my only complaint was that I wished it was longer.

Review of Bedtime Story by Skye Warren

4 Bleeding-Heart Stars!!!

Lost. Utterly and irrevocably lost in Skye’s words. Every. Damn. Time. It doesn’t matter how short the book is, or how long the book is, or if it never ends. It’s inevitable.

Jessica. We meet Jessica in The King. She is a single mom who has had shit handed to her, but she is just trying to make the most of it. She was sold as a young girl to the mafia and we can only guess what she went through. This short story begins when she is pulled over at the side of the road and she meets the sheriff. Jessica has the ability to look on the bright side despite what she has been through, but she still has trust issues.

This was the part where I should leave. Where I should tell this man, who’s clearly good down to his bones, that I’m bad news. Where I ignore everything but survival, because that’s the only way I’ve survived this long. Instead he asks me to stay, and I do.

Finn. He was a surprise to me. I loved how he had a good side with a bad past. He was no stranger to the mafia life but because of an incident in his life, he decided to take the road less traveled and became the sheriff of a small town. He is determined to stay on the straight and narrow, but he cannot resist the temptation that is Jessica. I loved how he immediately wanted to take care of Jessica and her son because he is the type of guy that just wants to do the right thing. These two were just perfect for each other.

She makes me crazy, and once upon a time I sought that out, wanting to feel wild and on edge. Not for a long time, though. These past years had been about isolation. About driving down dark country roads alone. And all along, I was looking for her.
Without even knowing it, looking for her.

What I loved the most about this short story is how much Skye made me love these characters so quickly. I loved the chemistry between these two, but it wasn’t insta-love. These two lonely souls find each other and have an instant connection (without the cheese). Of course, the short wasn’t long enough for me (duh!).

Ripple : The Prince And The Pauper ~ Aleatha Romig
It's such a fantastic idea for authors to come together to retell their version of classic fairytales. I'm so excited !!
Ripple tells the story of Dexter Smithers. He's as Dominating Alpha as they come. He's set his sights on young Natalie and just like an innocent Dove in the Hawk's crosshairs, she is ensnared by him. He goes to great , devious lengths to ambush and pluck her from her luxurious and doubtedly safe , velvet life and makes her his Queen. The Queen only bows in front of her King , but it's more than that. She kneels and begs and splays open her body and soul for him to spank, punish and caress.
It's a tough tale of vindictive love , a style Aleatha is a veteran writer of. Her Dexter Smithers sends shivers down our souls
Really dark and really intense. A thorough #AleathaGenre book

Review for Ripples: A Prince and a Pauper story by Aleatha Romig

They say not to judge a book by the cover and I definitely did when I saw this hot pink "Glamour." I expected a fun retelling of a fairytale and while this is a retelling it isn't at all what I expected. The story starts out quickly and continues to move quickly leaving you guessing with every chapter. I was actually shocked with the entire story and the ending left me wanting more. I don't want to provide any spoilers, but definitely recommend this one!!
