I’ve always had a weakness for bad boys (and girls too!), so I was thrilled to get the opportunity to read this.

Gage Mason is a motorcycle mechanic who owns his own shop. Persian-American Joseph Naderi is a promising young lawyer whose passion is racing. When Joseph brings in his bike for repair, the chemistry between the two men is instant and off the charts.

Joseph knows that Gage is the type of guy he should stay away from. Gage knows that Joseph is more than just a pretty face. His natty clothes and shy demeanor belie a passionate side that is just begging to be uncovered.

I couldn’t read this story without thinking of my own tumultuous 4-year relationship with a bad boy. I was just 19 when we met at Poor John’s Pub on a Friday afternoon, where I stopped to drown my sorrows after getting fired from my first serious job. Noticing my deeply discounted suit, he asked what a nice girl like me was doing in such a dive. Like Joseph, I had a bit of a wild streak underneath the conservative attire. After four beers, we left the bar together and I followed him home. Within minutes, I was face up on his waterbed with my pencil skirt hiked up around my waist and enjoying the best sex of my young life. I was thankful my parents were asleep when I got home well after curfew, so I wouldn’t have to explain the borrowed oversized t-shirt and sweats or why my suit was ripped. After that, we were practically inseparable. Our relationship was not all rosy, however. Like Gage and Joseph, we both had issues that resulted in battles as explosive as our sex was. While our problems and relationship dynamics were quite different, there were enough similarities there that made it so easy for me to relate to Gage and Joseph.

I fucking loved this book! It evoked strong feelings and memories, and wormed its way into my dreams.

Other than a few minor errors, the writing was polished and competent. The story drew me in from the start and still hasn’t let me go. The main characters popped right off the page, and there were a variety of well-drawn secondary characters. I loved the glimpses of Gage’s longtime friends, Nate, Max and Gia, and already have the two spin-offs featuring Nate and Max on my Kindle. I’m hoping there will be a story about Gia too, with a special lady that knocks her socks off!

There’s a lot of sex, but this is also a gritty and tender romance about overcoming emotional baggage, growth as an individual and as a couple, learning to trust, and learning to ask for help when problems become unmanageable. Gage and Joseph worked hard for their happy ending, making it especially sweet.

OMG was this book looooooooong!!

Not a few pages too long...or 50 pages too long....or even 100 pages too long....this book is easily about 150 pages too long.

I skimmed sex scenes!! They were hot, but there were too many. It felt like unnecessary filler to get a point across. So many unnecessary scenes that did not add to the story or drive the plot forward. This author definitely has potential, but she seems to have issues with streamlining her storytelling.

Also, neither of the MC's were very likable.

Gage:

Gage manipulated and steamrolled Joseph whenever he wanted his way.

Joseph:

Image result for I'm a doormat gif

A complete and utter doormat.

Gage uses sex to deal with his "anger" issues and Joseph allows it, and at times, encourages it.

After a few weeks together, he asks Gage, the "I don't commit" manwhore, to be monogamous with him...to have an exclusive relationship and explore where things may go.

Yet, even without this type of commitment, Gage is obsessed with losing the condoms in their relationship. Hello? Who the fuck is going to trust a guy who won't promise to be only with them to have unprotected sex?

He's so worked up and obsessed over it, that at one point he works Joseph up, makes them both orgasm and then takes his cum and inserts it in Joseph's ass....this is followed by a rude remark about the whole condom situation (I was so appalled by this act, that I couldn't even remember to highlight what he said).

There was no redeeming Gage for me at that point.

Add in the fact that it took up to the 95% point of a 400+ page book for both Gage and Joseph to realize that...hmmmm....maybe it's time for Gage to go and see a professional about his issues, and this puts the book at a 2 star.

In a nutshell, I can't find many brights spots in this book.

I loved this book. The MCs, Gage and Joseph, came alive on the pages and I was rooting for the bad boy and the pretty boy to last. There are major anger issues that makes for some hot sex, and there is a LOT of hot sex in this book. So if you are a reader that only enjoys an minimal amount of sex in your fiction, you might want to pass this one by. As for me, I LOVE a lot of sex in my fiction as long as it's well-written, and then most definitely is well written.

So, if you want a hot, sexy read about a big biker man and his pretty attorney, you'll enjoy this book. I did.

3.5 stars (rounded up)

Ever since I read The Sergeant, I immediately become her fan. Hell, I think I'm in love with Sergeant Pierce. LOL. I'm so excited when I heard that she's gonna start a new series.

First half of the book I hate Gage. Well, lets just say he's not lovable. He's dominant and manipulative (I don't mind with being dominant, but..manipulative? hmmm..). My goodness, I hate him with all my heart. And...there's way too much sex. Maybe too much, because I got bored with it. I skimmed it.

Second half of the book, I started to liked him. He got an anger issues. So he needs to sort it out. And he's willing to do it for Joseph. They had a lot of ups and downs. But, it's a relationship. What do you expect right?

So yeah, it's 4 stars from me. =)
I can't wait for the next book! Yaay!

PS : Maybe Gage not too dominant, he's willing to bottom for Joseph! I rounded up because of this. LOL.

Bad Boys Need Love Too (Bad Boys Need Love Too, #1) by Christa Tomlinson by Christa Tomlinson

https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2017...

I won this book, last year (or was in back in 2015) hmmm I forgot, but the author gave me the full series since she had skip by my name some how. I am glad of that because I get to read all three books :) I enjoy this book, but it's so weird reading about two men doing the mc nasty lol. But I prefer two men over two women lol. That's just me. I have read M.M. Romance before so I have no problem with it. What made me laugh was my mom when I ask her what she thought the characters were in this book two men or man and women, and she said "two men, " and I reply to her "yes," and she asked me what am I doing reading a book about two men. And my answer was the above ^^^ answer about what I said about two women. Anyways, I knew Joseph was going to give Gage that booty. :D" I'm like why Joseph don't poke Gage. Gage is only poking him lol. I'm here like maybe Joey is the girly and Gage is the boy!! lol . But as I am gotten further in the book, Joseph finally got to sex Gage, :D and Gage had never done it before he always been on top. In one area of the book, I got hype when Gage fought that man for calling Joey a fag lol. I'm like he knew better. Gage don't play about his Joey. Lol. Beat the stupid out of him. Lol. This book was so funny omg, Joseph and Gage are some funny dudes lol, I was cracking up throughout this LOOOOOOONG book. Lol, Yes, it was long <<< lol. Jesus I never had in my freaking life ever read a book with 80 chapters Jesus. I am glad that it was worth it in the end. I can't wait to read the next book to this series about Gage best friend, Nate.

A tantalizing premise let down by a meandering storyline.

I really wanted to like it. It had all the ingredients for a hot and sexy read. Plus it had a great cover! Unfortunately, this book didn't work for me.

It was just too long. The sex was hot at first. Sizzling and provocative. But when it's one sex scene after another after another, it became repetitive and worse, boring.

The thing is, the story itself is promising and is different from your usual romance novels. There's a grit and a rawness to Gage and Joseph's relationship that first drew me into the story and that uniqueness is what makes this romance stand out.

I didn't enjoy this story much overall because it was unnecessarily long and there were too many sub-plots thrown in. The longer I was exposed to Gage and Joseph's antics, the more they grated on my nerves. Both of them turning from sexy hot adult men into whiny babies. I eventually stopped caring about Gage's dark traumatic past which made him into the commitment-phobic man that we meet in the story. They both stopped being likeable for me about midway through the book.

I realise I'm in the minority here for this book. But I stand by my words. The story itself has a great premise and there's a lot of promise in the storytelling. There's just too much filler in the book for me to enjoy.

ARC provided in exchange for honest review.

So, this book popped my LGBT cherry and I really enjoyed it (the story, not the cherry popping). I liked the chemistry between Gage and Joseph, they definitely proved that opposites really do attract. I thought it was great that all of Gage's friends accepted Joseph right off the bat, there wasn't any of the petty insecurities that I've read about in other books. I liked Gage in the first half of the book, but I didn't like how manipulative he was with Joseph. I could sympathize with Joseph and his feelings for Gage, and I wanted to applaud him when he finally decided to issue the ultimatum to Gage, and when he announced his intention with his employer. And once Gage got his act together, he was actually a pretty awesome guy and definitely good for Joseph.

Now, with that said, I will say that this book is hella long, like 80 chapters, but it's easy to get through the book. Another slight issue for me were the sex scenes. The content of the scenes didn't bother me, it was just there were so many of them that I eventually began skimming the scenes just to get back to the actual story. This book could have easily been trimmed of at least 100-125 pages and still been just as good to read.

All in all I really liked this story and can't wait to read the next two in the series.

I nearly gave up on reading this book, besides that there was more sex than story, the relationship between Gage and Joseph was just not healthy. Gage is damaged from his past and while I realized that made him the way he was, he was a jerk and asshole throughout the majority of the book. His answer to everything was sex and Joseph just let him get away with it and allowed himself to be used. Both of their answers to everything was having sex and that made up 90% of this book. This story could have worked a lot better if that hadn't been the focus on every other page. I ended up skimming more and more of the book to get to an actual story. I really enjoy bad boy stories, add in bikers and its a must read, this one however was not for me.

3.75 Dirt Under Your Fingers Stars

I didn't think I would ever say this...but there is too much sex in this book. Its almost like a Dr Seuss book...sex on the bed, on the floor, against the door, on the track, by the rack, on the table, any surface that's stable. Sex, sex, sex. On a bike. Anyway you like. On the porch. Its sure to scorch.

Joseph is a lawyer, a motorcycle racer, a pool player, a banished son, and gay. He has made most of his decisions based on what his family wants him to do. This has not lead to a great deal of happiness.

Gage is the owner of a bike repair shop. He has been through some bad stuff and has some issues. Like some serious anger issues. But he has figured out a system to keep his temper under control. Sex. Lots of it. And he is not really picky about who or where. Well, it is a system.

When Joseph and Gage meet, they can feel the connection. They want to explore their attraction. Joseph lets Gage take what he needs because he wants him. Wants him to be okay. Wants him to be calm. Just wants him.

You already know it, but I'm telling you that I want you.

Gage is possessive in the best way. But also the worst way. And the kicker...he doesn't see the difference.

...guess I should be happy you didn't pee on me to mark your damn territory.

Gage and Joseph have a lot to work on. Both individually and as a couple. They need to work on their communication skills and their expectations. There are some great friends, some not so great old friends, crotch rockets, snippy bosses, temper tantrums and lots of sex. In the shower, in the bar, in the car, at the party, don't be tardy.

There was a good story here. I liked Gage and Joseph. The friends intrigued me. Joseph was very real. He wanted to be there for Gage until he was just worn out with it. Gage was rough around the edges. And don't we love rough around the edges, but he was a little more than rough. At times he came of as selfish and self-centered. But he is a Bad Boy...and apparently, they not only need love too, but need it on their terms.

SEX. THIS BOOK HAS IT. This book has A LOT of it. There is so much sex in this book that I refuse to believe that Joseph wasn't chaffed somewhere. Seriously, I imagine at some point his backside looked as though he'd just ridden a horse bareback for 50 miles through the desert wearing nothing but assless chaps. Really. I'm serious.

It isn't as though I don't like a book with a lot of sex in it sometimes but for the length of this book, I was getting fairly tired of it, regardless of how hot some of the scenes were. Things were kind of like some twisted carousel for a while; have sex, Joseph has bouts of insecurity, Gage has doubts, one or the other pisses the other off, they go back to having sex. Around and around and around... at one point I just wanted to start skimming scenes to hopefully get to something with more substance.

And then around 50% in, it finally did. Thank fucking God. I understand that the first half of the book was showing what kind of coping mechanisms Gage had fallen into using but it was just so repetitive at times and I just wanted to yell at Joseph to man up and show some balls. And then he did. And then he showed them some more. And then I just wanted to get up and start cheering for him to flash those babies everywhere like a streaker at a football game covered in nothing but paint and adrenaline.

Once Joseph put his foot down on several things, and once Gage showed that yes, he could open up without spontaneously combusting, things got more enjoyable for me. Yes, there was still quite a bit of sex, but you could actually see a relationship emerge and while there were problems, with both MCs, they were trying to work it through so that they could build something strong that would last. There were things I still would've liked to have seen that maybe I'll get a glimpse of if I continue with the series but I felt the book left off in a good place and I felt better about where Joseph and Gage left of than from where they began. Solid 3.5*; if I hadn't wanted to skip parts of the book, the rating would've been a little higher.

First-off the cover is gorgeous. I like my cover being attractive. Saying that I have to add it is almost an exact copy of Eden Winters Corruption. Love the model sexy and rugged exactly how I imagined Gage.

When I saw this one I knew I had to read it. I was so tired with all the glorified rent-boys and cops, I wanted something different.

What can I say, just like innocent girls gay boys also have a weakness for gorgeous bad boys. I absolutely loved Gage. I always liked characters that have a mutual possessiveness. Gage was just what I needed, a strong attractive guy, that wasn't obsessed with his sexualities as many of the other masculine characters in MM-romance is.

The novel had three very distinctive parts for me.
1. Gage getting over his relationship issues and willing to commit.
2. Joseph deciding about his career.
3. Both learning to Co-exist and working out their respective issues (Avoidance and Anger), working up to the much anticipated I love you.

What I liked was that all of the issues in the novel are relatable. I have experienced all of their issues albeit on a smaller scale. They didn't miraculously get over their issues, they had to work at it like any good relationship.

The playfulness between the characters is was hooked me. They weren't cardboard copies o other characters, they had their own distinctive personalities and I loved how they meshed together.

There was a few good one-liners.

Normally extremely long novels can't keep my attention, this one kept it right to the end. Maybe lost a bit o focus with the numerous sex scenes. Definitely got my money's worth. Would love to read the spin-offs, but more than $5 for 80 pages is a bit extreme.

there were parts of this book that I just wanted to hug both joseph and gage but especially Gage. that boy is so broken inside and when he finds love it is hard for him to accept it and he fears it. Fears being left, fears he will do something to ruin it so he tries to keep it light. this hurts them both though and in the end he almost lost Joseph because of his fears but also his guilt. gage uses sex to deal with guilt and anger. He used to use drugs but that changed when his friend died. So now its sex. One day Joseph. Sweet shy Joseph comes into his shop and Gage is forever changed. Well not really but slowly. He wants Joseph but Joseph is to shy to go after Gage. So Gage waits. Joseph eventually gets the courage to ask Gage out and a relationship that isn’t a relationship ensues. Gage is afraid to call it a relationship because of his fear of Joseph leaving him. And Joseph wants a relationship with Gage because he wants Gage. Gage told him about his way of dealing with issues and Joseph fears Gage is with others so he pushes a relationship. At first Gage resists but when they are away from each other for a week, gage no longer can handle it and goes for it. Things are going great and they get so close. It is so adorable to see. The bad biker get soft around Joseph and Joseph let out his wild side with Gage. but all good things have issues and they have a huge one. That being Gage’s anger and how he deals. so Joseph walks away and it hurts. they do eventually come back together but now they work on their issues together so they can be a stronger couple together. The characters are strong and weak at the same time. Giving them a complex and enjoyable edge to them. Gage is a great guy once you get past the tough exterior. He carries alot of guilt around with him and that makes him close off himself. Joseph helps him with this and he slowly lets down the walls. this is a couple that loves immensely, fights passionately and supports each other no matter what. Joseph is a sweet guy. Passionate in his personal life and about racing. He is cautious though. And he loves loves Gage. He is so patient and sweet with him. Pushes when needed and backs off when necessary. He works on being stronger for Gage as well and in the end it is this love and patience that brings Gage around. their battle to be together is never easy and the books shows this to us. we see the good the bad and the ugly. Never do we see them back off a battle and when they both express their fears it is such a tender moment that you smile. They want to work together to be with each other and support each other. A story of working together in order to be stronger for one another and watch your love grow as you do. One in which there is support and unending passion that will have your toes curl. Where you see a couple go through trials and tribulations so that they can be together. A well written intriguing story of finding love that heals and grows as they come together and support each other throughout even when they didn’t know it. I look forward to the next in this series. Hopefully we see how joseph and gage are doing while we watch one of their friends find a love that is beautiful like theirs.

One of my guilty pleasures is to get lost in a long steamy erotic read and this definitely fit the bill. Some may say there are too many sex scenes in this book but hey I’m not going to complain! I love me some hot m/m action.

Joseph is a successful lawyer but the firm he works at doesn’t thrill him. His escape is his racing and motorcycling. When his bike needs some work on it, Gage’s garage is recommended to him. When he takes his bike in he is stunned by the sexy and intriguing man he is confronted with. He feels that Gage is interested but is disappointed that nothing happens at that meeting. He makes an excuse and goes back to make a date.

Gage is a troubled man, trying to eradicate his feelings of failure to the people he loved. He therefore doesn’t get close to anyone anymore, except his band of friends. He is a classic love ‘em and leave ‘em, gender irrelevant. Until he meets with Joseph who is an enigma to him. Why does this guy make him want to see him again and again? He decides he can do casual but nothing more. He has a need to take away his anger and the way he does this is through sex and as long as Joseph can deliver that for him then he is prepared to go back for more.

I really loved this storyline and both characters were winners for me. I totally got the reason for all the sex scenes – Gage has a lot of pent up anger to let go. What a way to go!

The relationship has plenty of angst and grit to get all tangled up with as well as all the erotic interludes the pairing have. I loved how you could see Gage letting go the further and further you got into the book. It’s the little signs I look for that help me to understand the character’s true persona. I also loved how Gage was with his ‘free love’ and the gender irrelevance. This made for plenty of jealousy and angst. It was great how strong Joseph remained throughout and stood up for himself. He didn’t let Gage get his own way which others in the past had let him. This had led to Gage being in a perpetual cycle of self-destruction, never moving on from the tragedies of the past. Until Joseph that is.

I loved the secondary characters, especially Gage’s friends who Joseph becomes part of the gang. It added to the ‘family’ feel of the read. There was plenty going on in the book to keep me enthralled (as well as all the sex, yes!) that it was a heck of a packed storyline.

Great characters, strong relationships and steamy erotic love. What more could you want in an m/m erotic romance? Five stars.

Holy sh*t, yes! This book is an in-depth, emotional, sexy as had-me-tingling-all-over hell, beautiful read with dynamic characters and a damn good, realistic plot.

This is not just another bad boy book. This is the best portrayal of a realistic and actually good-hearted bad boy, Gage, with many issues from the past that explain his behavior, but a desire to change--once he gets motivation, aka, Joseph. He was a character that I liked and understood throughout the book. I didn't agree with everything and knew that he was often in the wrong, but he eventually learned to make the right choices, and though he scared me plenty, I loved him. But, I did identify more with Joseph, since I am the more submissive one in my own sexual relationships. Joseph was hot and strong; a perfect home for Gage, giving him what he needed, and being there to help him change. Love him too, I might just wanna be him ;)

I also loved the law aspect, the motorcycle racing, Gage's blue collar job, the issues with Joseph's family, the secondary characters, and all the rest that rounded out this story to keep me locked in from the beginning to end. I was so into this, that I ignored my essay for school that I have to write, due tomorrow morning, and it's now 11pm. (Procrastination is lovely.)

And I also love that this book was so hot! There were so many sex scenes, but they were all different and so involved and so intimate that I was completely caught up in them and getting chills all around my body. I didn't get bored for a second, and actually want to read more of Gage and Joseph now!

And, lastly, I liked how they actually had to work and change--together and as individuals--to get through the book. There weren't any deus ex machina endings or unrealistic make-ups and smooth-overs in this book. It was all hard work and actual improvement, something I don't get to see all that often in stories.

My advice is simple: if you like the premise, then definitely read this book.

P.S. I am very excited for both Nate's and Max's stories. If they are anything like this story, they are going to rock. I don't how they'd be able to top this book, but I still am very primed and curious. Release them soon, please!

I was very lucky I won a preread copy of this book (thank you Christa!) It's a very hot erotic romance. I couldn't put it down once I started. The first half was lots of hot hot hot sex between Gage & Joseph as they tried to figure out if they were in a relationship or if they were just short term Fbuddies. But by the middle of the story, they are trying to make a relationship work. Definitely not an easy transition as they both have to deal with differences in how they deal with stress and feelings. Gage is manipulative Dom in the bedroom with anger issues and blame. Joseph is reserved with a desire for the wild bad boy sex appeal of Gage. It was entertaining to follow Joseph's change on how he responds to Gage's rage and demand for sexual release as their relationship grows and they figure out what they need to do to stay together. The story also has a teaser with Max at the end so I'm anxiously waiting for the sequel. Read it.

DOESN'T GET ANY HOTTER THAN THIS!!

Sex, sexy and sexiest!! This story about Gage and Joseph was a great sex filled success. I loved the characters depth, how the author let us get to know all their sides. The good, the bad and the ugly. I loved the way they had to work to have and keep the relationship between them. I thought the story was intense and interesting. Very wicked and well written with a nice, smooth pace. I enjoyed this story from beginning to end. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!!

4.5-5 stars- I rounded up! This was surprisingly better than I expected. Well written and there was a ton of hot sexy times in this book-**fans self**. The angst and drama was off the charts too- a little too much at times. Gage was a true "bad boy"; and because of that I could put up with his caveman behaviors at times - when I really wanted to smack him. But then came another hot scene and all was forgiven;). I was glad that Joseph finally put his doormat behaviors away as well:) All and all a very enjoyable read!!!

You told me they were attracted to each other but I didn't feel it.
I was bored on their first date, how did they possibly enjoy it?
And if Gage uses sex to ignore other temptations and addictions why was it so damn easy for him to resist at the beginning just by thinking of a pretty face?
Joseph never became more than the boring workaholic lawyer trying to climb the corporate ladder

DNF because some cliches can be enjoyable and well written bundles of fun and this just wasn't

Original Blog Post: eARC Review Blitz, Excerpt + #Giveaway: Bad Boys Need Love Too by Christa Tomlinson

This is the story of a frowned upon relationship that all parents warn their children never to get into the middle of or get hurt, worse, killed or at the very least, abused. Then again, not all who act and dress rough are necessarily bad, and not all who act and dress right are necessarily angels either. With Joseph Naderi, he meets the man of his dreams but the man is not only frowned upon, he is also considered someone who will bring him down to ruin.

Time for honesty: this is the first Christa Tomlinson book that I actually fell in love with. She writes raw stories about love and romance but she is also quite infamous as an erotica writer. For me, Bad Boys Need Love is a lovely balance of romance and erotica that is both raw and heartwarming, it took me by surprise.

I was ready to hate this, truth be told. Instead, I fell in love with the bad boy and truly agree: they may look rough but they can be the one true love for the right partner. In the case of Gage Mason, his coming from a rough life growing up did a lot of psychological damage. His lack of anger control took him from one rough spot to an even rougher one and matters did not improve when he became addicted to drugs. By some twist of fate, he had an epiphany when a friend OD'd and he worked hard to get clean and make a life for himself as a mechanic. The only drawback to this life is the anger, which he learned to control through sex. Twisted as it may sound, it worked for a while, until he meets clean boy Joseph.

The relationship between Joseph and Gage was a difficult one. Both men resisted where their relationship was going and there was a whole lot of miscommunication. Now, this all sounds pretty frustrating but it was not for throughout their journey to self-discovery and love was a learning experience for them both. The rawness of their feelings for each other was quite difficult to read and it only got tempered when the erotica stepped in.

Now, I usually skim through the pages when I encounter a whole lot of erotic scenes wanting to get to how the story developed. Surprisingly, I had to backtrack and read all over again when I discovered that the erotic scenes were a necessary evil that made this whole story develop. At the end of the read I fell for Gage and Joseph and all I could think about was what was going to happen next especially with regards to some of the supporting cast of characters I met in this story.

4 star review by Amber

Bad boys DO need love too and this book was the perfect way to prove that point, BUT why did it have to be SOOOOOOOO long?!?!?!? If this story would have stopped at about 50-60% it would have had a logical, satisfying HFN ending especially since there are two more stories in the series that take place with the same group of friends just with different couples. With that being said, DAMN I really enjoyed the majority of this story!!! I LOVED a good 60%, liked a good 10-15% and felt a good 30% was unnecessary but that is still without a doubt a solid 4 star book, in my opinion.

On the surface, Joseph and Gage are about as opposite as two people can be. Joseph is a corporate lawyer who plans on making partner in his law firm. But on his down time he loves to ride his Ducati and races for pleasure. After having some engine trouble with his motorcycle someone recommends Gage’s motorcycle shop to him.

Gage is a bad boy. His owns his own bike shop and does what he wants when he wants to do it. He loves sex, with just about anyone, he does not discriminate, gender wise. When he sees Joseph pull in for the first time, the chemistry between them explodes on the pages.

They enter into a sexual relationship that was mind blazingly HOT.

The sexual tension between these two is a thing of pure beauty. I truly enjoyed all of their sexual interactions. Is there a lot of sex in this story? YES, there’s a crap ton of sex!!! But I was not one bit bored with the sex scenes between these two. I’ve read tons of stories where there is no plot, and too much sex. Those stories always lose me. But this had a great in depth plot, characters you really care about then add in the electric chemistry between these two AND the deliciously hot sex, it was a WIN, for sure.

The biggest issue was whether or not Gage wanted to commit to Joseph because Joseph was all in basically from the get go. Then as the story progressed other smaller issues started to arise. Considering this was a 400+ page book there was a lot of resolution with tons of issues throughout the story.

Also, the author had a great opportunity to work out a lot of sub characters that we will see throughout the series. She was able to wet my appetite and really make me want to read the rest of the series. I definitely recommend this book but keep in mind it is rather long but the way this author got me to care about Joseph and Gage really made up for it.

Now I’m off to read about Nate….

The first 40% of this book I didn't like at all. Didn't like the writing style, didn't like the characters, or the plot. I saw no redeeming qualities from Gage that would make me believe that Joseph would want an exclusive relationship with Gage, let alone have romantic feelings towards him. This left me very frustrated as a reader who loves romance.

Regarding the plot and writing,

2.5 Stars ... Not my cup of tea. Love the Cover though!

I really wanted to like this book! Bad boy motorcycle mechanic! Good boy bike racer! Hot stuff to come right? Wrong..kinda -

There wasn't anything terribly wrong with this book other than the fact that I just did not like the two main characters. The book was well written and had minimal errors (that I noticed). I just couldn't stand these two guys together or understand what they saw in each other. From the beginning Gage (the Bad Boy commitment phobe) hit a couple of my strong personal buttons. I thought he was a passive-aggressive jerk from page 2 and had a hard time getting over it. First words outta his mouth were "Why do you need the owner? You too good to talk to a lowly bike mechanic?" I usually love a 'Bad Boy' But this guy seemed more like a asshat though most of the book. Didn't like him at all.
Joseph (the up and coming lawyer/bike racer) on the other hand confused me as he had strange reactions to things. His reaction to Gage's attitude was baffling. I was never sure why Joseph was interested enough in Gage or willing to agree to what he wanted.
While normally when I see that a book is on the longer side I get excited, this one had many side plots that seemed to go nowhere or were put in to give them something to do to make the book longer. I did very much enjoy some of the side characters and would like to read more about some of the other guys that this book seemed to be setting up for further books.
All in all this one was just ok for me, but I think that it was just a personal dislike for Gage and no understanding of why Joseph would put up with him.

Okay, to start off I give this 3 1/2 stars but, I can't do half stars and I never rate down. So, I liked this story. My biggest two issues are the way the POV was written and that I lost interest in parts of the story. I believe this book would have been better suited to a first person POV. But, the story is told the way the writter wants so, I can't fault it too much. I usually don't have problems with POV in a book. Any book really, but I strongly feel the need for a different style of POV here. Then there is when I lose interest. It is only because the break up/get back together happened way too many times. I could easily put the book down in these parts and I don't like to easily put a book down. If I can walk away then I am losing interest! I really like Joseph but not Gage. Gage was an ass. Yes, he had issues and I get them totally but, he treated Joseph so wrong. In places Joseph made the wrong choice but for the most part my character faults are with Gage. I love a good M/M. This book was set up great for one, but it was lacking in one area. For me it was how Gage dominated the relationship, and not in a good way. How it was always about Gage and his pleasure. I felt like in all parts of Joseph's character he is a man until the have sex. Then he is always the one getting pounded and never Gage. For me I didn't like it. I want equals in my M/M so it kind of put me off a little. Would I recommend this book? Yes, I would tell all M/M lovers about the new story I read and tell them to give it a go. Because all of my reasons seem more personal preference than the writing. A good story though and I hope you give it a go!

Great book, if a little too long. So much sex, which was hot don't get me wrong, but some of it didn't need to be there. Gage is a giant prick at the beginning, but you learn more about him, and you start to understand him, so it gets better. Joseph is kind of a push over, but then at points he stands up for himself. I just think it wasn't enough or at the right times really. It, much like their relationship, is complicated. I really love their angst, it's all about them, no outside issues that get irksome. I wish the They have great banter, and chemistry. I will be reading the sequels as soon as I get my hands on them. I already want to know everything about Max's story.

I loved the first book of Christa, yet some scenes were very difficult, I felt very mixed feelings towards Logan. No problems with Bad boys, I fell in love with Cage in his first appearance. So hard, so strong, so intense, that bad boy, but with that little something that makes : ok he's all that but there is also something else behind this look and he's the one I want.

At least try, then I'm going out of my traditional way and go for it, that's what Joseph thinks when he sees Cage for the first time and that is what he will do.

" I've always thought you were beautiful Joseph. But I used to just admire your body for the way it would make me feel". He reached out and lightly ran his fingers over Joseph's stomach." But now....now I can appreciate your hard muscles, and the dip in your hips and this soft dark trail of hair because it's you and I love you. Does that make sense?"

I'm a little embarrassed to say this, (only because this is my first mature M M romance book) but this book was beyond amazing. I finished it in one day, only because I refused to step away. And it's been a while since a book has been able to do that to me, so it was a pleasant surprise.

It was definitely very hot, but I enjoyed the plot more than anything. For me, it was worth reading simply because the author wrote about the characters so well. I didn't feel as though I was just reading porn, no--I fell for the characters. And just, UGH. Why is it over?!?!?!

Anyway, Christa Tomlinson, your writing is phenomenal. And this book is so good!

I already miss both Gage and Joseph! :)

So much sex...

But I'm not complaining. The characters were good and the book was driven by them. Sex was the stories number one issue and the author dealed with it accordingly. It was long and slow in some parts, but overall a nice and smexy story.

Did I mentioned the amount of sex scenes in the book ;-)
