I feel like if I had read this book when it first came out then I might've enjoyed it a lot more than I have and I might've felt more connected to it as well. With Saffron being a lot younger in the book, it just didn't feel right listening to her talk about things that happened when she was a teenager knowing that her life is so much different now with her being in her mid-twenties.
