Book 1: Introduces 23 year old, newly divorced young woman named Layla. Before her divorce, Layla was married to her middle school sweetheart, Darren. Aside from holding down a full time job, being a student AND a mother, Layla stayed loyal to Darren until he cheated on her. Layla's best friend, Michelle convinces her that the single life isn't so bad, especially when she meets the super sexy, smooth talking Marcus; who not only gives her great conversation, but the best sex in her life. She thought she could handle a "friends with benefits" situation, but she couldn't have been more wrong. Unfortunately, Marcus ends up disappointing Layla as well, but she realizes that this "casual" situationship means much more to her, and possibly Marcus too. Soon after, Layla's life begins to fall into pieces, making her do things she would never do. Layla starts to realize that the next chapter in her life will definitely change her into a different woman, but will it be for the best? Enjoyable Read!
It was refreshing to finally read a book where a young person has their stuff together. I’m really pulling for Layla and can’t wait to read part two. That’s the positive stuff. On the negative side, this book had so many grammatical errors, it was a shame. Hopefully the next book will have better editing. All in all, a good book.
