Leotie Accalia is a wendigo—a badass sin eater who is bigger, faster, and stronger than many other shifters. Even male alphas. Her problem, besides not being able to get a date? When she’s turned, she doesn’t retain any of her humanity. Leotie needs a partner who is strong enough to handle her monster, but can accept his place as beta. It’s no small feat, so she turns to the one person who says she can find anyone their mate: Gerri Wilder.
Gerri knows exactly who the curvy Leotie needs. James Burns. Hero cop. Wolf shifter. Impossibly good man. But there’s something missing from the equation. David MacTiernan. His partner, his best friend. A wolf shifter with dark secrets that may stir the beast beyond control, but Gerri knows he’s what will bind them all together and make them a pack.
When a shadow falls on the small Kansas town and Leotie’s monster comes out to hunt, only the heat between them can light a blaze bright enough to banish the dark.
Saranna De Wylde has always been fascinated by things better left in the dark. She wrote her first story after watching The Exorcist at a slumber party. Since then, she’s published horror, romance and narrative nonfiction. Like all writers, Saranna has held a variety of jobs, from operations supervisor for an airline, to an assistant for a call girl, to a corrections officer. But like Hemingway said, “Once writing has become your major vice and greatest pleasure, only death can stop it.” So she traded in her cuffs for a full-time keyboard. She loves to hear from her readers.
Saranna writes nonfiction under the name Sara Lunsford. Her memoir about her time as a corrections officer called Sweet Hell on Fire releases Nov 1 from Sourcebooks.
The blurb omitted that this is MMF. This story was so short and choppy it read like an outline. This was a neat concept of a female alpha shifter needing mates that could ground her humanity, but it did not deliver. I expected more than just a skin tingle to declare the MCs as fated mates. And I really expected more relationship development surrounding the fated mate instinct. It was a cop out for LE partners David and James to realize that they were mates just minutes before the trio had bonding sex. And speaking about the sex, it was dismal.
This is slightly different than the other books in the kindle world of the PDA but a good read. The Alpha is a woman who is not your usual shifter and she needs two mates, in this case two wolves, to keep her anchored. The only thing I wish is that it had been a little longer with a little more detail. Still a good read.
Umm... This book went so fast and lacked little details I had to go back to reread parts of it because I felt like it hopped around so fast and I was missing things. Unlike the other stories in the PDA kindle world this one had very little interaction with Gerri. It almost felt as if the author thought just writing in Gerri's name made it part of this kindle world.
Hot,Hot,Hot!!!! If you're looking for something steaming hot and then some you've come to the right place. When can a girl find her mates by getting chained to a bed. Right here by Two hot cops who just happened to be her mates. Paranormal Dating Agency strikes again and what a strike it was.
Would have been a solid four if it had been more fully fleshed out, like maybe if we came into the story with the two men discovering some murders, then finding their mate, then solving the murders... you know, more plot basically.
As is this extreme short story barely manages to eke out a three star rating from me.
This was a well written quick read. The storyline was very fast paced and yet complete. This was one of the unusual storylines, the kind that draws you back into the series.
