OMG a new year already, it seems to be 2000 this time, since they are dealing with the y2k bug, its not the first time i heard about it. And the scientist did save them in a way, asking them to leave without her, only problem is with the kids ending up in 2000 they can't warn her colleagues in 2055 so she is really stuck in 11000 BCE forever, and that forever isn't really very long the environment is very hostile and dangerous, specially for someone who is not a native as her. The girls are separated again, but this next volume is going to be great too, i feel it.
This series has really one downhill for me. It started out amazing but I've just lost interest because of the whole time travelling thing. Everything is confusing and nothing seems to be moving towards a goal. It's basically just the four girls surviving day to day. I'm just bored of it now. This is the last issue I'll be reading of Paper Girls. Since the next issue isn't coming out til October, it seems the perfect sign to stop.
This continues to confuse the heck out of me, but I keep coming back because the characters are compelling, the art is wonderful and I believe the story will get some place that will be exceptional.
This issue had multiple elements that I enjoyed. The most recent time hop makes future issues exciting I think.
Oh snap! Things just got weirder, didn't know that was possible. At this point I am worried that things are getting unnecessarily drawn out. That was a good wrap up of the volume but that's three volumes of comics and still very little information and the ending just seems to reset to more questions. I'm still really excited about the next issue though!
Another twist in this time jumping, mind blowing series that keeps me turning pages each month. One thing you know when reading a Vaughan series is that you really have no idea what the hell is going to happen next. I love it.
Note to myself: when I'll finally conquer this pathetic world, my first order will be to have a new issue of Paper Girls every day. No, seriously, this comic is like a drug. And I'm sure addicted. Anyway, 15th issue. Another big event with a lot of drama included. A bit darker than usual, but nothing to ruin the original mood. Perfect comic is still perfect.
Todo muy chido como siempre pero estoy muy perdida, estoy perdiendo el hilo. Aún así sigo leyendo porque las ilustraciones son maravillosas y los personajes tienen muy buenas bases, además me quedé muy intrigada.
The only reason I gave it two stars was because of the use of the "R" word. (Would rather not type it as I despise that word, and any ableist remarks.)
As someone who is Autistic it just always makes me cringe either reading it, or hearing it.
