At fourteen, Catrina MacGreagor was left to care for her nine siblings after her mother passed. She didn't truly mind, for she loved them all dearly, but the work was hard as well as boring, and it left her little time to consider a husband. It was just as well, for she had not yet seen a lad she truly favored. All that was about to change, however, in the form of seven brothers – four of them old enough to marry, and all of them Vikings.

Marti Talbott does it again! It amazes me how she comes up with such moving and endearing stories about the Clan MacGreagor. From the first book, Highlander Series I, through this latest, I have been sucked in from the very first page. Following several generations of MacGreagors, through war, plague, mystery and intrigue, the stories are always fresh. I love this series. Each and every book has touched my heart. :)
If you are looking for a clean romance series, this is it, and Secrets was just as good as all the rest. There is no sex in her stories, but you will always find love, faithfulness, and honor, and that is why I love these books.
This is the eleventh book in the series, and it does not disappoint. It is full of mystery and intrigue, and you will have a hard time putting it down.
I highly recommend this book and the entire series.
Lots of intrigue to hold your interest. Great new characters and more about past characters which I love about each progressive book in this series. Clean romance is a big plus.
This review is generic across all Talbott's Viking and Highlander books (so if you look for my review of another in this series you'll just see this).
Talbott has done a superb job of recreating the environment and culture of medieval Scotland and Northern England in these two series. No explicit sex and no gratuitous violence (though there is violence appropriate to the time and place of the novels). Perfect romantic historic fiction with enough swashbuckling tension to appeal to almost anyone. While I am well past adolescence (nearly to senescence), I believe YA readers looking for an entertaining read would like these novels as much as I did.
I was sad but happy. I truly loved this story. All the secrets revealed was something. And the Banishments too! Tavan, Kristin and Jenae I guess it had to end that way for Tavan. On to Book #12. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰💜💜💜💜💜😊😊😊😊😊

This is the last book of the 12 book series by Marti Talbott. As I said in earlier reviews, the stories are wonderful...but the errors in both spelling & grammer are not & are numerous. My advice to the author would be to make sure her books are edited prior to publication. The stories, though not historically accurate, are varied & very enjoyable to read.
