“Oh,” I say flatly, “you’re one of those.” An eyebrow twitches. “One of what?” “A Neanderthal who thinks women like being bossed around.”
“Are you seriously pulling the chauvinist card on me? I will break your fucking face.”
“Men like Liam feed off control. They don’t play the game with us mortals. They create the game board. Sometimes they like to flip it upside down and watch us fall.”
“We are here. We are now. And there is no fate but that we make for ourselves.”
“I’m broken, Liam.” “No, little siren. You’re breaking free.”

Liam is the sun. Vivid and warming. He makes me forget. He blots out the past and future and recolors my entire world.
This isn’t romance—it’s war. One army fighting itself. Me against me.
“I want to keep you, Eden. I want to own you. And if that makes me a brute, so be it.”
He was right—this isn’t the movies. This is real. This is my life. And I’ll be damned if I’m going to give it up without a fight.

“Loyalty comes at a great cost, usually paid for in blood.”
“But it’s the look in his eyes that peels back my layers and finds the dark center of me.”
“No matter how far you fly, little dove, you’ll always come home to me.”
He is the sun, blotting out the shadows in my soul.Despite a bit of a rocky start for me, Double Vision turned out to be 100% worth my time and money! Be prepared for a dark, BDSM, mafia thrill ride.
He stands absolutely still and relaxed, exuding the easy confidence of a man who's sure of his place in the world. Not arrogance - deeper. Born not of external trappings like wealth or a handsome face, but of inner discipline.I think the strength of this novel comes from its characters. Eden is a strong-willed, driven, and self-assured woman, who very rarely indulges in her need to submit to a man. This may sound like a million other books you've read, but I thought the author did a great job of giving the D/s aspect a fresh, non-violent spin. Sexually, Liam understands Eden and treats her with the respect she deserves.
