Daniel and Ryan take their first trip as a couple, traveling to Daniel's favorite spa resort, a place he's never taken anyone before. The significance isn't lost on Ryan, but it takes longer for Daniel to realize there are feelings encroaching on their arrangement.
Tamryn studied English and Creative Writing in school but has been writing since she could first hold a pencil. Recently, she’s turned her focus towards writing erotica. She enjoys writing stories where sex comes first, then feelings, because doing things out of order can be fun.
Tamryn has spent the past few months writing the Daniel and Ryan series with a lovely view of mountains out her window, and she’s now searching for a new mountain range to serve as her backdrop as she begins her next project.
Spa Weekend chronicles the lead up to (and first day of) Daniel and Ryan’s first weekend away together.
At book six in this BDSM themed M/M serial, Daniel and Ryan continue to test each other’s limits and boundaries, taking time to learn about each other on a deeper level, both in and out of the bedroom.
With a solid foundation now firmly behind them, they can more easily acknowledge that what they share is greater than just an outstanding sexual compatibility—there’s an affection there, and a level of trust and companionship that goes far beyond what the parameters of their original arrangement entailed.
I like Daniel and Ryan more and more with each passing story. In this particular instalment, I loved how vocal Ryan was in expressing just how much he wants and appreciates Daniel for exactly who he is, quirks and all, which in turn allows Daniel to more fully accept his wants and needs, especially where his growing emotional desire for an official relationship with Ryan is concerned.
5 stars Ohhh i love this serie so much Daniel and Ryan are everything together. They have their own specific characteristics and those are wonderful to read. Little details which gives this whole journey dimension. Daniel neat, routines and organized to the minute and Ryan a tease and try to find all Daniel's limits.... They spend more and more time together and the line between work and private is fading... It's delicious to watch them.....all the small gestures are just......heart melting...the reserve totally gone...
God (Tamryn) please let them have their beautiful and deeply satisfying HEA.
And now i have to wait a whole month for the continuation....so happy it isn't over yet, I just can't get enough of Daniel and Ryan...<3 <3 (I hope the author is aware that they are so loved)
TL;DR: *Fans self, patiently waits for next story*
By this point in the series, Daniel and Ryan grow closer in ways that aren't clichéd. It isn't so much that they discuss their feelings, but I really liked that they did not shy away from admitting the changes in their relationship.
And in between said acknowledgements, there are some SCORCHING sex scenes.
Kinkswise, there's some deviously clever orgasm denial. Like any fan of the series, I'm really digging where their story's going. ;)
About anticipation, high expectations and how they pan out in reality. I like how the relationship wasn't just smooth sailing, but depicted the small bumps along the way as well. And the end scene of the episode was so, so sweet!
The tale of Daniel and Ryan continues in this sixth book of the series. Be aware these are not standalone stories; the tale of Daniel and Ryan is one book which has been serialized and broken up into installments. While still very enjoyable, this one wasn’t my favorite chapter so far. I just wanted more from the fact that this was such a big step for the couple and what it signified.
Daniel and Ryan made the decision in book five to visit Daniel’s beloved spa. There is a great deal of stress involved with “being Daniel”, and this spa is his gift to himself. The fact that he invited Ryan along is HUGE. It really denotes one more pivotal point in the burgeoning relationship between these two men. Daniel is relaxing all his rules for Ryan, and, little by little, the fact that he wants Ryan to stick around for a while is dawning on this clueless man. Daniel is still holding back from Ryan. Total submission is so very rare for Daniel, but Ryan is so close to having Daniel where he wants him. Ryan has the patience of a saint.
I think this installment was misnamed, as most of it is about the week leading up to the big trip and how Ryan uses that week to inch Daniel, once again, out of his comfort zone. Ryan knows what a big deal it was that Daniel asked him to go, so he uses the week before to cement in Daniel’s mind how good the two of them are together—that if Daniel will just give his all to Ryan, Ryan will be there and not let him down. We don’t get Ryan’s POV in these stories, but the wealth of emotion pouring from Ryan when he thinks Daniel is still asleep gave me all the feels about him. And that “waking up” scene…wow. The trust and the connection between these two men continues to grow and yes, once again, I am sitting here on pins and needles waiting for the next chapter. Overall, I love this serial. I am truly invested in these two at this point. The next chapter is named Weekend Getaway, and it can’t be released fast enough.
~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~
This is the sixth installment in the series - and you most definitely need to read these in order. Strangely, if you haven't read them before, I would actually recommend that you space them out a little bit ... I cannot believe I am saying that! But, these little morsels of a nascent relationship are absolutely delicious, each in their own right. The story line is fundamentally very simple, so you don't need to worry about forgetting complex plot lines in between reads. In fact it feels like a living breathing relationship, and we just get to look in and see how it is progressing.
On this occasion we get a huge move forward, as well as lots of breaking of barriers. It is hugely significant in the tiniest of ways, and in the biggest shows of trust that can be given. I am growing to love these two men and their wonderful foibles and intuition - let alone enjoy the intensely passionate relationship that is punctuated with great pleasure!
Great next step ... I shall enjoy mulling it over until the next one finds its way onto my reading list. Thank you Ms Erdani, thank you very much.
This is the sixth book in the series and they have to be read in order as they all run on from each other. They're very short so can be read quite quickly if you need to catch up.
Our two MC's make a rather odd couple but it's one that very much works for them. Daniel is a bit of a control freak and everything he does is timed to perfection and planned in advance so the one thing he does like is when Ryan takes over the control for him and so far, their 'relationship' has solely been based on the scenes they create together at the weekends. This book sees them going away for the weekend together and it's nice to see Daniel try to relax. In saying that, he still sticks with his regular treatments at their usual times and he struggles with the fact that he isn't staying in the room he always stays in because this time, he has company. It was a very sweet moment when Daniel finally realises that he and Ryan are a couple and are dating. I'm not sure where their story is going to go from here but I will continue to read on as the books are released.

Each story in this serial builds on the last, and this one takes things to a whole new level. First we have the week leading up to the spa getaway. As each day passes, the anticipation grows, helped along by Ryan’s most recent proclamation. I loved the way the author wove both things together, and how the connection between the MCs gets even deeper. And then finally, finally! They admit that what they’ve been doing involves their feelings and that they are, in fact, dating. The payoff here, for me as a reader, and I’m sure for the MCs, was fantastic. It was exactly what it needed to be, for these guys, and I loved it.
These short stories are really a serial about two guys who meet at work. One's over the top OCD about everything and the other is certainly not (think the Odd Couple if you're as old as me). They discover that one likes to be bossed around and the other certainly likes to do the bossing. They start just meeting on weekends, then start during the week also and this book is them going away for the weekend (a big step).
In this book, real feelings start to develop. I love it when two people start to fall in love, knowing its happening, wondering what to do about it (if anything). Can't wait for the next one.
These books are really short, inexpensive, a few of them boring with not much action, but overall a good read so far.
What can I say, other than what I always say about this series, is that I loved this installment! This spa getaway was what these two needed for Daniel to realize what Ryan already knew. I can't wait for Weekend Getaway!
We're now at the point in the series where the lines are blurred between Daniel and Ryan's arrangement and it's safe to admit it to one another. They're not completely talking about their feelings but they're admitting and acknowledging the changes. We went from weekends only to spending the weekend away. Gah! I'm loving it.
Daniel and Ryan are going away for a Spa Weekend, their first planned trip away, together. And if this wasn’t already special, Ryan wants to try something new in the week leading up to the Spa Getaway.
This is book 6 in the Daniel and Ryan series. Having come so far into the series I finally have a handle on the pulse of things.
I remember in a lot of my initial reviews for this series, I talked about being disappointed with the pace of things. It often felt that we would go one step forward only to go two steps backwards. But after having read so far I have really come to enjoy the slow pace of this story and I have also come to realise that while the story develops slowly, we are slowly but surely moving forward. Despite the fact that I couldn’t realise it at first Daniel and Ryan are moving forward as I have come to realise after reading this story and the reason I didn’t realise has probably got more to do with the blinders Daniel has on when it comes to feeling than with story progression.
This series has adapted a meandering way of storytelling where you have no idea what’s next or where all this leads up to but you know it is somewhere good.
I liked this instalment to the series because we got to see a definite step forward in regards to Daniel and Ryan’s relationship but more importantly, I finally got to see Daniel’s legendary control slipping and it was enlightening.
I definitely want to read more even though initially I wondered, how different can a Spa Weekend be from a Weekend Getaway but the excerpt definitely has me on board.
Cover Art by Natasha Snow. I definitely love the new covers for the series. The covers for the first five books were just variations of each other but this one is definitely different than the first five though I think it is started up its own theme, with the covers to come. Anyhow, loved the cover it is amazing and I especially loved the green overtones.
Original review on Molly Lolly Four and a half stars! Ryan took their relationship to new levels throughout the story. Daniel gave up more control as well. I adored watching how both Daniel and Ryan reacted as Ryan was in charge of more things. The big thing Ryan takes control of in this story was interesting. Daniel’s reaction to it was the most interesting. I like the way he slowly got more desperate as the week went on. Daniel was so nervous when they got to the spa. You could tell he realized this was a huge step for himself. The BDSM is more subtle in this story than others. However you can still see the underlying control Daniel gives up to Ryan. You can also see how Ryan takes that control and cherishes it and doesn’t abuse it; would never think of abusing it. I was a little sad for Daniel when he was about to leave for his massage and what Ryan had Daniel do. However Ryan redeemed himself with how he assuaged Daniel’s fears and cared for Daniel when he came back from the massage. But Daniel’s request right before he fell asleep? Oh man the trust he shows is so dang sexy and sweet. I loved that final scene where Ryan tells Daniel why he likes him and Daniel has his epiphany moment. Dang these two are so good together. Now I’m eager to read about their weekend getaway next.
I love where Daniel and Ryan’s this relationship is going, and it was great to see in words what has been obvious in the latest parts of the book. I loved the little steps they are giving.
This part was very nice because we can see Daniel letting in Ryan into his world. Share what he likes in a way other than sexually. It is nice to see how they are growing and getting to know each other better. Although I think it might center too much on Daniel, letting Ryan a little more of a mystery. It works fine for the story but I would love to know him a little more. I’ve been feeling the same way in the previous parts of the series.
I love how the BDSM works for them, something more related to control than pain or humiliation. It is different from what I’m used to and is one of the things that keeps me hook to the series. I always wonder what new elements would bring every installment and I expect them anxiously. This was very good, maybe not one of the ones I liked the most, but in terms of the relationship growth, It has been one the most important.

Review for the whole series or, more precisely, what I’ve read of it. (Dnf at 20% of book 6)
I can see why others loved this series, but I only got to this point out of sheer stubbornness. If I hadn’t already made the rushed decision to buy the whole series while it was on sale, I would have stopped at the first book. I gave Daniel and Ryan one more chance over and over again because they have the kind of approach to BDSM that should have made me love their story, but the writing style has been (not so) slowly killing my interest from the beginning. I struggled to read 37 pages over a weekend and I’m blaming my complete lack of feeling for them and their relationship on the third person present tense narration and the writing style in general, which made reading about Daniel working or having the most intimate moment with Ryan feel pretty much the same. Not for me.
This was short, sweet and simple in the world of Daniel and Ryan.
When we left them in the last book, Daniel had invited Ryan on a Spa Weekend and Ryan accepted. Daniel normally goes alone and doesn’t even let it be general knowledge where they spa is located but taking Ryan is a new step, a new challenge and Daniel accepts it. Along with the spa trip challenge, Ryan decides to up the ante and request his own challenge of Daniel for the week.
Let me say that the week-long challenge led to some delicious text messages between these two and though it was all hypothetical, Daniel gets so damn dirty it was gorgeous.
This was simply nice to see the men still doing what they have been while slowly moving toward a real relationship and not just an arrangement though Daniel is a bit slow on the uptake. Seeing Daniel move around his normal routine and adjust ever so slightly to allow Ryan into it and into his life was lovely. I know how important routines are and how hard it is to adjust them so while Daniel is ready to add Ryan into his before work routine, he is ready to move from Room 12 to Room 112 because Ryan is with him.
The waking up business was hot AF and Ryan talking during sex was so very emotional and so very telling of where HE is in the relationship. Not being in Ryan’s head, we don’t always know what’s up with him but I love how he sees Daniel.
This ends, per the normal with you hanging on for more and with a short excerpt for the next installment. I am still curious how long this will lead us by the reader dick until we are allowed some friction but I will be there regardless of how tight my reader balls get and want to come.
