This one was shaping up fantastically until the Titans showed up. Don't get me wrong, I liked their team book but I love seeing Jon and Damian's camaraderie and that was put on the backburner a little bit. I still enjoyed the rest of this issue though!

I love seeing Jon's relationship with his family. Especially this:
Jon: Damian's Dad lets him stay out all night!
Clark: Damian's dad dresses like a bat and gets hit in the head 28 times a night. So maybe not the best argument.

I loved watching Damian as the Bad Cop and Jon undermining his seriousness by pulling cats out of trees and petting dogs. This is the purest friendship in comics right now and I just want so much more of it! Love, love, LOVE this series!!

Jon: Let's get things straight. One: My streets already have justice. Metropolis isn't Gotham. Two: You're NOT training me. We're having fun and helping people. Not scaring jaywalkers to death!

Loved this. I think it would be a great move to make Jon part of the Teen Titans. I really hope he comes in and saves their butts in the next issue.

I'm all for crossovers and Super Sons mixing with the Teen Titans should be a no-brainer.

But, dude, I'd love for Tomasi to advance Damian back to his less than douchy attitude. This is the Super Sons book and it felt more like a Teen Titans book.

Damian as a character has gone from jerk to trying-to-be-decent back to jerk, now.

His being a jerk if affecting my enjoyment of this book.

I really do love this book. These maybe my two favorite DC characters behind Batman. I love seeing the parental interaction as well. The ending here actually made me laugh out loud.

So we pick back up with the Kent having moved to Metropolis, now Damien is training Jon. In the last one, Damien seemed more in control of the situation. Now it seems like Jon is going to take the lead in this story. Which I like. I like Jon. He’s a sweetie.

SUPER BOY SAVED A CAT OUT OF A TREE! YES!

In this issue we’re introduced to Robin’s team, the Teen Titans! I still imagine Greg Cipes’ voice for Beast Boy, after all these years. There’s not too much characterization for the team. I know the Teen Titan’s book is probably what that’s for. We see that Star Fire seems to be the voice of reason. Aqualad is the new guy who doesn’t really like taking orders from Damien. Beast Boy and Raven are Beast Boy and Raven.

So, the Teen Titans are tracking this…thing and they leave Superboy behind and it’s so sad. But then after the team is defeated old man Robin comes back because he needs his help. I have just enough money to by the next issue!

The new arc seems like it is going to be taking a darker tone. I have not read much of Teen Titans, so I was unfamiliar with their characters and powers, but can't wait to find how Super Boy interacts with them.

The dialogue in this issue is SO GOOD! Tomasi has got the Jon/Damian banter down like no other writer, I love it :)

Well, in fact, I'm a bit dizzy about the TT been newies, but I assume that makes the plot more interesting.
And Robin been like a granpa (el ya actúa como uno).

The huge contrast between Superboy and Robin continues! While Superboy is happily having his mom pack him lunch and getting cats out of trees, Robin is threatening people for J-walking with their dogs. it's hilarious as always. Something I can't help but point out is how beautifully drawn Starfire is in this issue! Hot damn! The best part of this issue was definitely having the Teen Titans meet Superboy. Damian continues to underestimate Superboy and pays for it dearly. After dismissing Jon and going on a mission with the team, they end up all being defeated in battle by the Time Commander. He ends up at Jon's doorstep aged by the Time Commander to an old man. Hopefully they'll be able to fix this without Batman finding out. When will you learn Damian Wayne?
