Thee Will I Cherish

Rate this book
Armed with her MBA degree, Gabriella Martin is ready to face the world. She’s gained valuable experience the past year as the interim chief financial officer of her parents’ highly successful Choose Me! Christian marriage ministry, but is that what she’s destined to do the rest of her career? While she considers her options, Gabriella returns home to the beautiful Shenandoah Valley in her native Virginia. What she doesn’t count on is running into her childhood friend Harley nearly everywhere she goes, especially since he seems more ruggedly handsome and irresistibly charming than ever.

A master woodworker and furniture builder, Harley Goodwin has always been “just friends” with Gabi Martin from the time they were kids. He prays that while Gabi’s home in Meadowvale trying to figure out her future direction, he can win her heart. He might not have a fancy college degree, but he’s built a solid, flourishing career and is financially stable. But as determined as Harley is to earn Gabi’s love, she seems to suffer from the misconception that he’s dated every other eligible girl in town, and she’s the last woman standing.

During the long and hazy days of summer, can Harley convince this stubborn beauty she’s the only woman he’s ever loved and that Gabriella needs to stay in Meadowvale permanently and make a life, home, and family with him?

Thee Will I Cherish is the first in the new three-book Treasured Vow Series from USA Today Bestselling Author, JoAnn Durgin, featuring the stories of Gabriella, Matt, and Aubrey Martin. Although they’re the children of renowned Christian marriage experts, these three siblings need a little guidance from the Lord as well as their friends and family to help them navigate romance and love.

I loved this book, and it outstanding start to what looks to be another very wonderful series from this author. Gabriella and Harley's story is a beautiful and inspirational romance that I thoroughly enjoyed. This author certainly knows how to write a story with wonderful characters and a story line that keeps me reading from the first pages. This book introduces the first of three siblings in the Martin family, and I am definitely looking forward to the next book in the series and reading more about this special family. I wholeheartedly recommend this book as well as any book that this author has written.

JoAnn Durgin books are always a slow dance of romance. She draws me into the story as if I were in it. Tension builds slowly over time as characters are developed. The humor along the way will tickle your funny bone. What I find unique in her books is how well I come to know the characters. In depth development over the length of the books makes for true friends of the characters. She gives all the details that make people seem real and touchable. I have fallen in love with the town of Meadowvale and am looking forward to more stories set there. Highly recommend.

I loved this beautiful romance, the first in the Treasured Vow series.
The part of the book that appealed to me most:
"A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart. When Christ is the third strand in a marriage, a couple is grounded in the word of God and better equipped to withstand the many challenges in life and love."
I recommend this to anyone who loves Christian romance.

Gabriella and Harley are very special people. These two have been in love with each other for years without the other one knowing it. Watching these twos relationship change is truly wonderful. The characters in this book are all very special people who you will love to read about. God is working throughout this whole book. You won't be able to stop reading this book it's so amazing. I would give this book a higher rating than a five star review if I could. I had the honor to review this book for the author for a honest review. The reaction to this book is my honest reaction to this wonderful book.

JoAnn Durgin has done it again! As with all of her previous books, she has written a story that immediately captivates the readers with characters that they love, scenery that almost has one heading for the airport to fly to the location in the book, which in this case, is Shenandoah Valley in Virginia, and her signature trademark - the Gospel message skillfully woven throughout the book.

In Thee Will I Cherish we meet Gabriella Martin and Harley Goodwin. Gabi, as everyone calls her, has returned home to be the interim CFO in her parents' marriage ministry. She runs into Harley, a friend from childhood, again and again and again. I won't give the plot away, but suffice it to say, it is a delightful love story.

Thee Will I Cherish is the first in a three-book series and I can't wait to read books 2 and 3, Thee Will I Honor and Thee Will I Love. All three can be read as stand-alone books but it's so much more fun to read series about members of the same family. So, grab your copy of Thee Will I Cherish and read it before the next two are released in 2018!

Whenever I pick up a book by JoAnn Durgin, I know she’ll introduce me to memorable characters, flawed, quirky, and almost always with a good sense of humor. Thee Will I Cherish met and exceeded my expectations, making me smile, chuckle and even laugh out loud. Tears flowed, too, at particularly tender points of the story.
I loved meeting the Martin family, beginning with the three sisters, Gabi, Mari, and Aubrey, who share a strong bond of love and faith. Their parents are admirable, dedicated to their unique ministry and their family.
Harley won my heart from the first meeting, with his handsome exterior and mix of pride and insecurity. His passion for woodworking reminded me of my husband and made this hero even more appealing. This quote resonated: “In the midst of chaos in our modern world, woodworking gives us a place to slow down, pay attention, and take the time to do things right.”

A special love story.

I love the characters and the small town location. This is the story of people whose love has grown through their lifetime of friendship. They fit together even though they come from different family backgrounds. It was filled with warmth, humor and God's messages and am looking forward to the next book in the series.

Loving My Best Friend

Awesome book from beginning to end. I love long books because you get to see below the surface of the characters. This is a strong family of Christians who face everyday problems and temptations just as everyone else does.
