I made the new parent mistake of buying a pop-up book for a one-year old. But he loved it to pieces! Each color has a flap which when opened or pulled reveals an animal of that color. A swarm of purple butterflies fly up, a green snake slithers out, and black and white penguins waddle into view.

Pop-up books have really progressed since I was a child. They are now interactive works of art.

I read Chuck Murphy's pop up books to my daughter when she was only 1 - 4 months old (before she was old enough to grab at the pages!). What a delight to see the excitement on her face! If you want to introduce a love of books to your children, read them Chuck Murphy's pop up books when they're babies!

This is a great pop-up book. my favorite page is the page with the penguins. this book is very good i would recommend it to any one with kids it will be a great read for both of you
