In a post-apocalyptic world after the destruction brought about by Armageddon, the war between humans and vampires continues, yet, amidst the bloodshed and violence, many desire a peaceful co-existence between the two species, but standing between them and this goal is the Rosenkreuz Orden, a group of vampire extremists who manipulate the two sides and pit them against each other.
This has to be one of my absolute favourites of this series. It continues the Night Lords saga but the ending and that last scene with Abel just leaves me heart broken. I have read this one easily twice as many times as the rest.
Sunao Yoshida and Kiyo Kyujyo continue an alternate telling of "The Ibelis" in Trinity Blood vol. IV. While I miss some of the things the anime did with Brother Petros and I miss Sister Paula, for the most part I'm happy with this version.
This was the most action packed chapter so far, just unrelenting stressful painful action combined with the personality and anguish of each character personally, culminating with the first truly clear sight of Abel’s other form, much to other characters trauma, I loved the angst in this chapter, and how even the enemies are so interesting to watch.
Woooo-eeee this volume was a page turner! So far, this has been my favorite volume. Abel seemed a lot less Vash-like (but still... he's so very obviously a Vash rip off) that I was able to forgive it a little bit. But a lot of great stuff happened.
But seriously, Esther is an idiot!! After seeing Crusnik, I'd be like "OH MY GOD! SO BAD ASS!!!" She's a wuss.
This volume surpassed my expectations in terms of story and character development. The art has always been gloriously detailed since the beginning but in so many ways it was even more amazing in this volume. The last chapter was fantastic, so much mystery and intrigue even though I've seen the entire anime series, this manga is very different, but in the best way! It looks like I'm going to be preferring the manga adaptation of Sunao Yoshida's novels over the anime adaptation. Rest in the Peace of Christ, Yoshida-sensei! Looking forward to reading the next volume in this out of print series, I'm so glad I got all of the Tokyopop Volumes released here for a great price on ebay.
Having learned my lesson from writing short little reviews for the Vampire Hunter D manga, I'm just straight up going to say that the art for this is gorgeous. My only complaint is that it's sometimes a little too heavy on the fanservice, but it's otherwise really well put-together. I love the characters and the plot – which builds itself as the volumes progress, revealing the world to us gradually and making it seem very, very real. Overall, this is one of my favourite mangas and I'm really disappointed that the English release hasn't been continued.
I'm back reading and pondering this series of graphic novel. The artwork continues to draw me...no pun... I just love these characters. Of all this type of book, imho, these are the best. Plus, they're about vampire hunters!!!!
This volume was awesome. Seriously so much badd-ass fighting going on it was amazing especially the end. But then the very end was also the saddest part...poor Father Nightroad...
