Another great read by Joy Avery. There was so much action in this book. Showed us how we sometimes we settle for less than we are worth because we feel that it is the only thing we deserve. However every woman wants her king to some in and save her from pain and love her unconditionally no matter what. Soring on Love started off a little rocky but ended with true love. I am looking forward to the next book.

I was given an complimentary copy of this book for an honed review by the author.

Loved it!!

Roth and Tressa story was amazing. They were a joy to read about. Both had exes that weren’t worth anything, and it showed. They both were so stubborn and got on my nerves with their insecurities. But at the same time, they were made to be together. The book was laughable, and would have you emotional, but overall a great love story. Loved it!

Joy Avery Soaring on Love
This is my second read by Joy Avery. I actually read book two first. Roth Lexington has feelings for Tressa Washington. The only problem, is she’s engaged. When Tressa’s engagement party becomes a disaster, she escapes with Roth to his cabin. The beginning of the book is filled with flirty, sizzling attraction. I like how Ms. Avery brought these two together. They were both so thoughtful and caring. They both want love, but past hurts may hinder them from achieving it. The foster care system is an important social topic in this series. This was a good read and I plan to read future books in the series.

Letting your guard down is hard to do when you've been hurt, but Roth wants Tressa in his life. she broke all his rules and she understands him. Tressa's engagement party was crashed by her fiance's mistress, so she's trying to get past that disaster. She had doubts about the relationship anyway, so a week in the mountains with Roth gives her time to clear her head. The mutual attraction between them becomes so much more until meddling exes intervene. These two are very strong and likeable characters.

I liked this one overall, but I felt it missed an opportunity to truly delve into the emotional depth of the characters. I would have loved more insight into their personal traumas especially Roth’s experience with adoption and the foster care system. Those elements were mentioned, but not fully explored, and that limited the emotional impact of his relationships. The same goes for the FMC; her backstory felt underdeveloped. The story has strong potential and the foundation for something incredible, but it didn’t quite reach the level of depth I was hoping for.

Great romance read! As the saying goes--When one door closes, another shall open. Tressa was broken hearted and disappointed at her own engagement party but found true love in Roth, the one man who was there to comfort her. We should NEVER give up on love even when we encounter heartache. Sometimes the heartache prepares you for the great love you were meant to be blessed with.

Captivating!!!
Roth was in the right place at the right time when Tressa's sleazy fiance's side-chick, interrupted their engagement party. How humiliating to learn Cyrus had been cheating on Tressa the entire time they had been dating. Then he had the nerve to DEMAND a second chance! Roth rescued Tressa and intends to show her what real love and respect looks like.

"Soaring On Love" is a must read.

This is the first book that I have read by Joy and let me say that it most definitely will not be the last book.

This book is truly indeed a love story and I enjoyed reading about Tressa and Roth.
Tressa and Roth were truly meant to be together. Funny how life sometimes throws you a curve ball and that special someone is there is catch the curve ball and is truly your knight in shining armor and that is who Tressa and Roth were to each other.

It all begin at an affair that was given by Tressa and Roth’s best friends Vivian and Alonso who have there very own book "In The Market For Love". Once they meet and their eyes connected that was it. Roth wanted Tressa but his best friend Alonso explained to him that Tressa was engaged but that did not stop Roth it only slowly him down just a tad bit. Tressa fiancé Cyrus was totally all wrong for her and Roth knew and Tressa knew it also she just was not ready to give up on love.

Tressa and Vivian are friends as are Roth and Alonso. I will definitely be reading “In The Market For Love” Vivian and Alonso’s where it all begin.

Wow

Wonderful story, Tressa and Roth. Tressa's fiance was a jerk, I wanted someone to punch him so bad. I am so glad that Roth found his true love after everything he went through. Roth was such an Alpha Male I was rooting for him and Tressa to get together.

Excellent Read

Truly enjoyed this love story. Every woman needs a Roth. I like Tressa, she didn't allow her ex to interfere in her happiness. He was a nonfactor immediately after the confession of his mistress. Great author.

Quick read. You could really feel the spark of emotion between the two characters. Would have liked the 'Meddling exs" situations to be explored a little more, especially the situation between Roth and his ex.

A "Sign" is often best when factoring life decisions. Tressa's received her sign right on time, Interesting and held my attention. Sequel to "In The Market for Love."

A Sugary Romance "you" might like

The storyline was good. Parts held my attention. But other parts were a bit unrealistic. Like bits and pieces of the sexual encounters.

This book was so goood. Tressa and Roth's story is so intimate for the reader, you'd swear you were sitting in the room with them. It is that good.

From the beginning you're on the edge of your seat trying to figure out how this is going to work. But Ms. Avery weaves a love story that pulls you in and make you feel, laugh and cry with both characters.

I wholeheartedly recommend this book. You won't be disappointed.

A woman learns her fiancé has been cheating on her and she bails during their engagement party. Then she hooks up with an old flame who takes her to his isolated cabin. Said cabin gets snowed in during a blizzard. Oh, dear. What shall they do to pass the time?

Since this is one of the more familiar romantic scenarios, we don’t have to strain ourselves too hard to figure out what happens after that. Tressa Washington doesn’t back away from the resulting sexual monkeyshines and neither does Roth Lexington, although it takes them a while to shed their clothes and inhibitions. Roth wonders whether she might be using him to get over her trifling, cheating ex-fiancé. That is a concern and the novel does address it, albeit a tad hurriedly.

There are moments when they talk, open up and nurse each other during sickness so it’s not all pornographic romps. Other than a couple of meddling, interfering exes, the main problems are building up trust in each other and accepting the love emerging between them.

But this is a romantic fantasy. So Tressa Washington goes from being a working woman to being a wife and mother. At least, that’s what we’re led to believe in the scene where Roth finally proposes to her. He doesn’t mind keeping her from work and she doesn’t mind the notion of having loads of little children running around the place. In fact, the novel constantly emphasizes her nurturing nature, her desire to have loads of kids and her sadness over having to give up a foster child.

So the scene is set for your 2000s romance with 1950s values. Tressa gives up her last name and presumably her job. Roth gets himself two sons (the start of that football team he dreamed of fathering) and it’s your typical happy-ever-after scene.

For a romance with tears, recriminations, heated sex scenarios and bouncing babies, you could do worse than this one.
